A bit pricey for small plates, they only reason it doesnt get 5 stars. The food is of the highest quality and flavor. If you go here you must try the Agadashi tofu. It is my absolute favorite dish, from all three of the Den family restaurants. You must get it from ototo though, it is nothing like the dish served at sushi den. Trust me. The skewers are out of this world, grilled over Binchotan Charcoal then one served with homeade teriyaki and the other with a fresh wasabi glaze. You must get this to comliment the Agadashi tofu. The atmosphere is hip eatery, japanese style. Please go and give them a try. best time is while you are waiting for your table Sushi Den!

The food here is amazing. There are tons of flavors in every dish. Try to pair up everything the chef put on the plate as they compliment each other nicely. Ive been here twice and have not had a bad plate yet. The most underrated item on the menu is probably the tonkotsu ramen, it is probably the best tonkotsu in Denver ( Ive tried many places ). I havent tried the other flavors yet so I speak for them but I look forward to trying everything. I docked one star because I felt like the price could be better but nonetheless the food will not disappoint.

Great place for tapas. Everything our group ordered tasted delicious. I especially liked the yakiniku bowl. most plates are for sharing but the ramen and rice bowls could be ordered as a meal in its own. we ordered around 9 plates for our group of 4 which came out to around $22 per person which was a lot more affordable and filling than we thought it would be! We tried calling to make a reservation before the restaurant opened and we were told that they dont accept reservations on Fridays and Saturdays so plan accordingly.

Ill admit, Im not an authority on unique japanese-asian fusion cuisine, so take the review with some salt. Regardless it was very good, but expected as not exactly a budget choice. I found the cuts of fish we had to be very good (tuna, snapper, yellow tail, salmon) and overall the dishes (we had 7 tapas) to be uniquely flavorful and wanting for nought. I chose a malbec to go with it. I cannot remember the exact vintage but it was intriguing and was not the common tone of the malbecs Ive had.

This is a sister restaurant to Sushi Den and Izakaya Den but slightly less sushi centric, focused on a traditional "izakaya" style restaurant. The cool thing about Ototo is that you could go for a big evening here and rack up a bill with a bunch of tasting dishes just as easily as you could get in and out with hearty bowl of ramen and an appetizer on a more casual weeknight dinner. Everything is delicious and they always use high quality ingredients.

This place is fantastic! Its the best OTOTO place in convoy. Angel and Diego are absolutely amazing! If you arent sure what to get ask chef Diego he will have a roll made for your taste buds! Angel is by far the best server of the restaurant! He will always make sure your cup is full and treats you like a friend!! I rarely come here but due to the service Diego and Angel give I will definitely be a returning customer! Thanks OTOTO!!!

No parking was just the start. The food was overpriced with tiny portions. We had to beg to get the attention of the wait staff whenever we needed something. ie: someone to open the bottle of wine they put down on our table. I thought it couldnt be but the entrées were smaller than the appetizers. We had 9 people. Our meals came out one at a time with the last 2 people in our party being served exactly 45 minutes after the 1st.

Very trendy ramen spot, and the broth and noodles were pretty good. Not quite the best ramen in Denver, but its up there. A bit too pricey for what they offer. We got some sashimi too and it cost as much as Sushi Den but was not up to par, some pieces were chewy. Definitely gouging on draft beers, $7 a pint. Good service and atmosphere, just too expensive for what you get.

Made a reservation here with my father. We walked in at about 5:45pm and the smell of the place was repulsive. I am a pre-medical student, so trust me when I say this, it smelled exactly like a cadaver. We walked out and went to 1472, which was delicious. OTOTO smelled disgusting, I would never eat at this place.

Really delicious Japanese-style tapas (not as heavily sushi based as the other two restaurants they own on the same strip). Small tables & low lighting would make it good for date night. The portions were very small however, and despite ordering several options- I left feeling hungry.

This has to be the best tasting ramen in Denver. Ive tried ramen from anywhere else I can find and nothing compares to Ototo. Everything else is a little expensive for the amount you get but the ramen is so big most people can probably get two meals out of it.

I met the best bartender at Ototo, Heather. The food was pretty good but the service... Oh man the service. Heather was on the ball, the drinks kept flowing, and her personality was amazing. I would definitely go back if only to be waited on by Heather again!

I really want to love this place, I really do. However, it is still a work in progress. The dishes are hit-or-miss, with the classic stuff (sashimi-related dishes, ramen) really good. It is pricey and I found myself spending less money at Sushi Den.

I came to Ototo for the first after a day at work. I sat at the bar and had the pork belly based on a friends recommendation. It was amazing! I would recommend this place to anyone looking for great food served in an amazing atmosphere.

Fun concept and the food was solid. The short ribs and miso ramen were spot on. Late night hh daily at 930. Service was good, bordering on too attentive. Great spot for some late night grub.

Just found my new favorite Japanese grill! Must try the grilled squid, fried chicken, grilled lamb, and my personal favorite the grilled pork belly.

Most food here is Japanese tapas style, bring a couple people so you can try lots of things. Food is generally on-point

quaint, and a close second to sushi den, but not quite the range and depth we have come to love across the street...

Ramen is always amazing but the star would be the grilled squid! So order that to complete your meal!
