Overall, this is a good place; however, we had great expectations for it that it didnt reach which is why I am awarding only 3 stars. Why - principally two reasons: 1. Burgers were overcooked. This is probably partially my fault as I didnt say to what level I wanted them cooked (but they didnt ask either). All of our burgers were at least well done to the point of burned. 2. The fries were over salted. Again, this happened automatically as we didnt ask for salt on our fries, yet there was so much on them that it was hard to even taste the fry itself. I actually ended up throwing away about half of my fries as a result. Like the burgers, this was true for all of us eating. The good stuff: - The place had an amazing amount of people move through it and the restaurant staff did a great job handling all of them and keeping a great attitude. - The soda is not your typical coke or pepsi products - they were better with interesting flavor options. - Not much room to sit and eat with the amount of people moving through but all of the customers were pretty respectful with space and the amount of time spent at a table that we were still able to eat at a table. Overall - I wanted to give this place 5 stars, but with the burgers and fries the way they were, it will have to be just 3. I will update if I go back..., and that is the thing, I am not sure I will go back.

Came in from out of town and saw that this place has some history with guy fieri. I love triple D so I had to give it a try. Their menu can be a little intimidating at first glance because it is almost entirely setup as a build your own burger option. However, they do have predetermined burgers that sounded just as delicious. Their special style includes basically a large piece of "skirted cheese". If this doesnt make sense you just have to see it! I went with the build your own burger route. You pay a little more for "specialty" toppings but the rate isnt very high overall. Most toppings are free unless you get more than 6 or specialty. They also make their own cream soda and cherry cola. Very great drinks. Not too sweet, But full of flavor and tasted like they used real cane sugar as well. Only down side is that the place was really packed when I visited. We were planning on getting our order to go and eating in the park across the street, but we ended up nabbing some open seats. TL/DR: Great quality burger. Great toppings. More unique ordering style. Flavorful beverages. Nice atmosphere. And if you like aoli style sauces get the heiffer sauce.

My husband spotted this restaurant while we were on vacation and we decided to try it out--it was so good, we decided to come back a second time before leaving Colorado Springs! It reminds us of a local burger place in Atlanta that we really like, but its actually way better. SUCH great burgers here! We both got skirted grass-fed beef burgers, build-your own style. Im not sure if our combination of toppings simply less messy than the previous reviewers were, but we found both of our buns and burgers held up extremely well for the entire meal. The heifer sauce is addictive, both for dipping the Belgian fries (also mouthwateringly good) and on the burger, and I loved the garlic focacia even in combination with roasted garlic as a topping. They also sell frozen custard. I had a root beer float with vanilla custard and really enjoyed it, but my husband, the custard connoisseur, thought it had an unusual texture and didnt care for it very much. All in all this is a quaint and unique restaurant with great local style and an excellent product. Highly recommended and seriously wish we werent 1200 miles away :(

So my wife and I are repeat customers because of how amazing the food is and anytime we have visitors this is a must visit for us! The reason I am writing this review today is to let everyone know about what happened on are trip that happened tonight. The customer service is always amazing and they treat everyone like they are a long time friend but tonight they went above and beyond. My wife does not eat beef so the turkey burger is amazing and a must try for anyone bc it is that good, but we dont know if in the mix of being hungry this last time she forgot to say turkey or they didnt hear. Either way we got our burgers and hers was beef like mine. I asked them if there was a mistake and after reviewing the receipt it did say both should be beef. With no hesitation they all began to apologize and before I could let them know it was okay they already had a turkey burger being cooked. Needless to say it was some of the greatest and friendliest service to go along with some amazing food. Thank you again Skirted Heifer for your great hospitality!

The burgers are amazing, the ingredients that go into them are all natural and locally sourced. And although they have amazing food and the staff seems to be authentic and real caring nice people they are not. I worked at this burger joint at the beginning of the year, I worked real hard and they loved me. I was disappointed to see their true colors though. If its not the ditzy girls on the register flirting it up for tips, its the secret drug and alcohol addicts hungover from the night before. I slipped on water on the already greasy tile and got hurt, my manager laughed and got the co workers to join in as I was trying to hold tears back. When I mentioned this to the owner she got extremely afraid that I could very well file a law suit against them and immediately fired me, another action that could warrant a law suit. I didnt have time to go through with charges as I lost everything due to losing my job that I worked extremely hard for. I still get random harassment from the daughter of the owners. Food = great, morals = not so much.

Truly the best burgers I have ever had the pleasure of eating. Skirted Heifer is approved by Guy Fieri from "Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives" from the Food Network. That man knows good food. The burgers here are so juicy and packed with flavor, no matter which burger you choose. The buns really help set Skirted Heifer apart from other burger shops. In the burger varieties Ive tried here, the buns have had pieces of garlic baked in them. Yum! Skirted Heifer is also a local business, so you can always feel good about spending your money there. Prices are great and their sauces are homemade. In addition, the service is always genuine and friendly. The beef used in their burgers is local and grass-fed. Also, youll notice the tables in the restaurant have special markings on them. The wood used for the tables has been reclaimed from the devastating Waldo Canyon and Black Forest fires that occurred in Colorado years ago. My only wish is that the restaurant was larger! It is oftentimes busy and seats are very limited.
