So this place leaves me torn. I went in to order a burrito. The place, although small, was tidy. I ordered a Burrito with green chili on the side. There were about five customers that were obviously regulars the staff was talking to. So off the bat, I thought local little Mexican restaurant. The food came up in 10 minutes, the cashiers and cooks (the same to ladies) were very pleasant and friendly. Coming home, I opened up the to go order, put my green chili on top after tasting it. The green chili was VERY spicy and full of flavor. I loved it! Probably on of the best Ive had. The food itself was among one of the absolute best smothered burritos Ive ever had. I had three guests raving to the staff about thier breakfast burritos being the best (they seem to serve these all day). I would have to try this. Which brings me to why Im torn. The food safety is not the greatest. Neither cook/cashier wore gloves or anything covering thier hair. I saw the same cook handle raw meat, toppings, to go utensils (which were just a plastic knife and fork, non wrapped. The other lady was handling the same but money as well. I did not see any hands washed, but I may have missed that. The food and staff were fantastic, and the obviously get a lot of repeat business due to this. The repeats dont seem to care. However, if you are a germaphobe, this place may not be for you. I am not AS bothered as some, but just giving fair warning. Been coming here since the beginning and havent regretted it once. Okay, I regret it a little when I stop buy for a lunch and theres a line, but when the foods this good and the service is this great, you have to expect a longer line, dont you? The owner is almost always there either taking orders or cooking right there behind the counter and it shows. The food is great. Granted, I havent had everything on the menu, usually ordering a burrito or tacos, but I have had all the meats they offer, to include tongue. My only complaint is that they sell drinks by the bottle or can instead of from a fountain. I know this is a cost saving factor for the mom and pop shop, but the sodas go fast when theres only 12oz. La Morenitas restaurant reminds me of the little taco shops wed stop at when I lived in Arizona. No frills and no gimmicks. Just decent food at a good price. And who can ask for more than that?

The food is decent, but Im not sure its worth the hour long wait to get it. At 45 min of waiting we asked if our food was almost ready and were told "Sorry we had a lot of call-ins" with no indication as to how much longer we might be waiting. In the meantime, we saw several people come in and out to pick up their orders, which makes me think they cooked all the to go orders before even starting on ours. This is our second visit to this restaurant, the first time we had at least a 30 min wait, but hoped it was a one time thing, its clear to me now that its apparently normal.

Its hangover Thursday and Im working from home, time to find a place with a big dirty smothered burrito. And I found it!! The reviews were so good that I couldnt resist and its not far from home. The front of the shop is little but theres more seating around behind the kitchen. Order at the counter type of deal. I got mine to go. They have a standard Mexican menu and my carnitas smothered burrito was delicious. I hear great things about the breakfast burrito too, so I know where Im coming for my next hangover!!

Absolutely amazing! Ive been coming here quiet sometime and they have delicious food! The tacos and smothered burritos are amazing. The staff is even better, the same women have been running it for a long time and you can tell they love what they do! Onnnnly downside is you have to wait a little bit but trust me its worth it! #supportlocalbusinesses

My family comes here often. The food is always great, and a decent selection. We have not been disappointed yet!! I personally love their asada nachos. Very nice staff, and clean restaurant. They expanded their area for more seating now, which is nice. Many times, they are busy with to go orders. So expect a wait for food around peak times.

Great overall. Suggest calling ahead orders especially peak times. Delicious spicy authentic must try. Street tacos are my favorite! Just adding another positive, this is the 4 time I have been here in a week! All my friends family and co-workers can get enough. Also thanks to my sons request, I definitely recommend the quesadillas!!

The reviews here surprise me based on our visit so perhaps it was an off day. We truly waited almost 45 minutes for our food and all we ordered were burritos. My husband ordered his minus the smother but it came smothered nonetheless. I agree the people who work here are very nice but honestly we would not go back based on our visit.

I give the food a 5! I wish I could eat their tacos and green chili every day! This is a hole in the wall restaurant - dont be impressed with the surroundings. You come here for the food and food alone. The service is slow (but friendly). So just be prepared for that and the wait will be worth it!

Small family run Mexican place. Everything handmade to order, so it can be quite slow if they are busy. Great tacos. Green chili nachos are great! Berry inexpensive for the quantity of food. But as noted, set your expectations on how long your food will take to come out. It can be quite long.

Always the best Mexican food when I need my carnitas, lengua, asada, etc. And yes there is usually a bit of a wait. The flattop grill is only so big and they cook everything fresh. Rather pay and wait a bit here than goto Chipotle and have them scoop out food that was cooked who knows when.

We came in ordered, we waited 40 minutes. Didnt get our food, multiple customers came in and were served before us. When I approached the counter they just started making our food. We asked for refund and left. Never coming to this establishment again. Horrible customer service.

Decent burritos, the carne asada is the best that Ive tried. Service is friendly and prices are good. Nothing really stood out, but still a decent spot if you need a quick burrito. Menu is limited and its pretty much just burritos with a few other items.

These ladies kick ass. The food is good the service is always friendly, the complaints about wait times are just ridiculous. You have two people at max working the front with a small grill and you want to complain about times

Its great food. But I was charged for a order I didnt order. When I called to see if they would take the extra charge off she told me what do I want her to do about? That I had to keep the extra charge! Im highly upset.
