The location is definitely quaint. Its in an old Victorian home typical of this section of Colorado Springs. A bar and tables are arranged throughout the ground floor. Ambience is good. There was a cute duet playing guitar and clarinet the night our family went, Valentines Day special. The service was average. Friendly, but not overly attendant. OK, so now the food; spinach pasta was a little wet. Not bad. Peanut crusted halibut was very dry. VERY. Pork shanks were in need of seasoning and could have been more tender. Lemon Pepper shrimp was tasty. Dessert creme brulé was basically pudding without the crusted top. Bread pudding was a slice of Texas toast, not typical. Overall, Id give it a thumbs up for ambience, sideways for service and thumbs down on the food.

We chose Dale Street Bistro Cafe ONLY for its convenience to Colorado College on a Wednesday night. We were seated at a delightful table for two on the glassed-in front porch of a converted neighborhood home. White tablecloths were appealing, but we both were offered mangled forks that proved too much for comfort. Bread teaser was warm but straight out of a common grocery bread bag. Side salad was artful but undistinctive. Chicken Marsala was pedestrian with way more oil than marsala over a slab of chicken breast and sliced mushrooms. Vegetable Wellington was creatively appealing on the outside but lackluster on the inside. Creme brulee was under-torched. Coffee quality was a redeemingly good surprise.

The food was delicious and the atmosphere perfect. It was a quaint house converted into a cafe. Local artists were featured on the menu and lined the walls of the cafe. The menu offered the perfect amount of options and everything sounded delicious. It was hard to decide. I went with mahi mahi paired with wild rice and vegetables. The mango chutney covered fish was a nice asian american twist. Definitely worth the stop for dinner or to pick up some tasty in-house baked bread.

We sat outside, overlooking their sweet little garden. I have been there many times with close friends. There is a feeling of comfort and home from the moment you arrive. My friends love their curry chicken dish. I love their many salads with their own homeade salad dressing. But most of all I love the way I feel when I am there. I cherish the memories of this warm little house and the owner and the staff are lovely. Go. Imbibe. Celebrate the moment...

This restaurant is a cozy, hidden little gem of Colorado Springs. I love the homemade bread and they have a lovely patio. Their ravioli and oriental chicken salad are to die for. The atmosphere makes you feel at home. I always take my family there when I have the chance.

Terrible service @ breakfast! Only 3 tables in the entire place - no coffee refill, no check to see if all was well, and then.... Asked to leave. (Fyi I was a single top quietly reading a magazine) no waiting line.... will never return.

Ordered a burger and asked for no tomatos, and it came with tomatos. It tasted like it was cooked on a grill that hadnt been cleaned in a while and was a tad bit over cooked. Bacon tasted like microwave bacon. Chicken salad was good.

Wonderful! I think everything was made in house: bread, ravioli, and salad dressing. I wish I could come back again to try more dishes.
