We will not bother to return, if you want to know why please read on. It is pricey and for that I simply expect different. We discovered the Union through friends who invited us there. The last three visits have not been pleasant. 1. We had acquired a coupon of $25 through a school silent auction. Unfortunately we let the coupon expire, but of cause still went to ask if they would accept it. The manager told us that it is expired and that their system cant account for the coupon anymore. I cant help but wonder how they accounted for the surplus in the previous month? 2. Between Christmas and New Years 2014 we went to have a drink and relax, after all that is why you go to a bar/restaurant. One of the waiters had the dreamy idea of cleaning the salt of the floor in the isle beside us and kept banging the broom against the dustpan in a very eager fashion. I finally got up and told her quietly that her enthusiastic cleaning was really loud. Her answer was that she is almost done. I would have preferred a more customer friendly approach of an "excuse me" and immediately stopping the banging action. 3. A birthday party was to be held at the Union with some 6 participants. The birthday girl was smart and called ahead to inform that she would like to come for happy hour and reserve a table for 4:30. Alright, done! Shown to the second room we learn that happy hour cant be have in the dinning room as dinning and drinking is to be kept separated at the Union. I get that. What is there to be done for the 6 customers that are very ready to spent a couple of hundred dollars? Well nothing! The patrons are obviously totally wrong! It would have been a lot more customer friendly and business savvy to admit to an obvious misunderstanding. One cocktail each for the happy hour price and the incident would have been forgotten and 6 customers would have been retained. * Mistakes are happy mistakes made by a non-native English speaker

Just ate there. Im a construction working and I have been tired of the taco trucks and fast food places so I found this lovely bistro. Really nice serivice right off the bat. I sat down at the bar since I was by myself. Bar was very clean. The young lady behind the bar described the specials to me and when I couldnt decide between two items she was quick to recommend which I love. I went with the chicken on the big plate side. Chicken was yummy. Nothing to fancy. The sauce, I think was suppose to be a wine sauce but dont quote me on that, was strange, sometimes tasting like potatoe other times like warm sour cream. And the potato wedges were bland. tasted like they were soaked in olive oil. But the garlic green beans were sooo good!!!! Wishing I hadnt eaten them first. Prices arent bad. And I got my food, ate, watched a little baseball on the TV, paid and was back to work long before my hour lunch was up.

Great spot with lots of potential but missed the mark for me. They have a decent wine list but their wine glasses are low quality glasses I would expect at a banquet event. If you offer wine by the bottle you should have proper glassware. The Brussels sprouts had potential but were served shredded which I think if served whole could have the nice charred effect rather than the side that felt like another salad. Also the side salad was nothing more than lettuce, shredded cheese and croutons; a few tomatoes onions and cucumbers would have enhanced the plating considerably. The beer list is subpar and offers virtually no Colorado beers. Nice atmosphere and staff and with a few adjustments could be a better experience.

Good, clean and DELICIOUS. I have been a regular diner at Union for over 10 years and have spent a career in hospitality; full disclosure, I even worked here for a while (before having kids when the economy dropped& jobs were scarce). I STILL VISIT REGULARLY. If you have ever worked in a restaurant you know that thats not the norm. But they know how to do what they do and they do it SO well! THIS IS A FAMILY FRIENDLY SPOT with good choices for littles and bigs. However, let me warn parents of toddlers that there are no changing tables but IT IS A FAMILY FRIENDLY ENVIRONMENT. Please try it and see how wonderful the food and the people are. Awesome service, awesome food.

Not a great experience for my girlfriend and I. Walked into the place and waited about 10 minutes before being offered service on what seemed like not too busy of an evening then waited longer for a table . My girlfriend has a gluten allergy which they did not seem to be completely sensitive about... they brought us our appetizer and eventually her meal which were full of gluten, and we didnt even get an apology for it. Not once were we asked how our meal was and after finished, we waited another 30 minutes or more before we had to ask for our check and by that time we were the last ones on the outside deck and closing operations had already been going on. Not impressed.

Do not trust this restaurant to hold normal hours or to be open if you are hungry... they randomly close for no reason and no warning!!!!!!! NO WARNING WE DROVE FROM MONUMENT TO FIND OUT THEY ARE JUST CLOSED FOR A WEEK!!! They are to cool for school I guess... seriously pissed at the Union. They did this last year too!!!! Honestly their happy hour is all their business is worth... stupid owners!!! These guys must think that since they are successful that they can just do what they want... no respect. They didnt even post to their own website (we checked)!!!! Oh yeah and they are over priced if not there during happy hour...

Marita is the best server/bartender I have ever had and I used to be one! I love my vodka martinis insanely dirty and she made sure it was just the way I like it! Usually, when my husband and I go out to dinner and I order a steak, we always ask for medium rare, but more on the rare side, and every time his comes out perfectly and mine is medium to medium well. Union does an amazing job cooking these steaks! My steak came out perfectly and I can go on and on.. My recommendation is to definitely come here to this amazing restaurant and ask for Marita! She will make sure you have the best of everything!

Very small environment. We felt it was way over priced. We ordered lunch. We order a steak sanwhich which we liked, it was good. Dont get me wrong. But, came on 1 piece of "sour dough bread" so it says "sour dough." It was a piece of thin sliced bread that was soggy! AND ONLY ONE PIECE!! Not worth the price. Service was ok but we waited for our drinks longer than expected then when my glass was empty, I was never asked if I would like more tea even as she passed twice. Its not like they were busy. There was one other couple in there. I guess we can say we tried it but have no plans to return.

I just watched a women change her babys feces filled diaper on an empty table in their dining area. Then she proceeded to place the diaper on the bench then the table and picked up her soiled feces filled tissues etc. also on the table. Then she walked back to her own table and sat down to eat. I told our waiter and the host about it and asked them to at least disinfect that table before seating someone to eat. Instead they ignored it and promptly seating a couple on the fences soiled table. The health department should be called on this restaurant. Beware! Dont eat there!
