My wife and I recently went to Springs Orleans and were quite impressed by the complete lack of service there. When we arrived the restaurant was about half full and we were told that itd be a few minutes before we could be seated. No problem, my wife and grabbed a couple of menus and perused them while waiting. About ten minutes later we were seated. During the following 20 minutes we read and reread the menu while other patrons were served. Finally a server came by and said, "Oh, you must be ready to order your dinner, HUH" So we ordered drinks, an appetizer, and our entrees. About 10 minutes later, I went to the restroom and after returning to my seat some other random employee came by and at least gave us a couple glasses of water. Fast forward another ten minutes, I can see my drinks on top of the bar, my server once AGAIN goes to the four top next to us, proceeds to pick up their bottle of wine and pours each of them another glass! That did it, we got up and left. It was as though the staff wanted us to know that we were not welcome; thats fine, its not the first time my wife and I have been treated this way, a lot of people dont care for interracial couples, I just want to save other people the trouble of wasting their time at this place. PS I emailed the restaurant and if they had even bothered to respond, then I wouldnt have bothered with this review.

First time ordering from here and was sorely disappointed considering how many rave reviews they received. Gator Bites $12- tasty but lacking in volume. It was teenie tiny and seemed more like miniature alligator chips rather then what the description was. Chicken w/Andouille sausage gumbo bowl $14- very, very salty but the meat was soft at least. Couldnt really taste much of any other flavors because of how much salt there was. A bowl of this comes in a tiny little cup looking thing, so again, volume was lacking. Gorgonzola Fettuccine $18- husband doesnt like blue cheese and was unaware that it contained some; other than that he said it was not worth the price due to the minimal amount he received. Lastly, the Brie Beignets $12- we received 2 of these things and I am sorely disappointed again. The only flavor this item had was the honey that was drizzled on the bottom of the container and the fruit tossed on the side. Other than that, it was basically like eating a warm, squishy, doughy tasting lump. I was so excited and I have no idea if this is normal for them and I just lucked out on the night we choose to go, or if the people posting has broken taste buds. Either way, we will not be coming back to this place or recommending it to anyone. Thanks but no thanks. Take care.

Vision is not something everyone has. Mr. Perry sanders is not listed in this category. This is a man with vision, passion, insight, experience and a heart for people. The Mining Exchange, Spring Orleans, Gold Ball Room, all have the personal touch of Mr. Sanders. In a conversation with one of the employees of the Spring Orleans Restaurant. I keyed in on a statement that was made. “Mr. Sanders takes a personal interest in what is offered, prepared and served”. When you are served at this establishment. You get the same treatment as if Mr. Sanders himself is being served. As I sit here enjoying my meal. I had to go and tell the chef how beautiful the plate was and how well prepared. He said. If I’m preparing it. I had better make it look and taste good . Another high point was when I asked the waitress. Did she like working here? she said yes very much. I asked why? She responded. Because of the people I work with. This is the nature of everyone that I have spoken with at the Mining Exchange, Spring Orleans & Gold Ball Room. There are not many establishments that can claim this kind of quality, hospitality and service. Thank you Perry Sanders for your Colorado Love.

We came here to try some Nawlins food, but we were not impressed with the southern fare. Weve lived in the south and learned how to make jambalaya and gumbo. Maybe they toned down the flavors for those living away from the south...not sure. Here was what was in the buffet line: salad greens, great tray of fruit, delicious plate of smoked salmon with the bagels, cream cheese, and capers, shrimp etouffee, chicken and sausage gumbo, sausage jambalaya, green chili, roasted potatoes, french toast and bananas, scalloped potatoes, bacon, sausage, ham, scrambled eggs, prime rib and turkey carving station, omelet-made-to-order, various pastries. There were other things, but not memorable. Their shrimp had a great spice on the shells, and the lox was great. We were really hoping to be impressed with the Orleans fare, but it wasnt spicy at all. Now, the green chili had a great spice, but thats not Orleans fare. The gumbo didnt have the famous crab meat or file that we learned to put in the dish, and the jambalaya wasnt spicy at all. Id maybe come back for the shrimp and lox, but that doesnt make this buffet line special. Its hard to find a good gumbo these days....

I went here with my husband and some friends to celebrate a joint birthday/anniversary. We made reservations specifying the event so they seated us promptly and gave us some time to peruse the menu. We split the bayou gator between four with everyone getting about 3 items. Its very with just a slight kick. Four drinks ordered, one wine that was consumed without complaint, a port that was thoroughly enjoyed, a sazerac mixed drink which was met with mixed reviews, and a cherry whiskey that was so bad it was sent back. They did however remake the whiskey so that it was much better (less syrup and no water) and take it off the bill. We stuck with the classics:shrimp and grits, red beans and rice, and a gumbo. All were wonderful and spiced just right. They gave us deserts on the house so we split banana pudding, Chocolate torte, and bread pudding all of which just hit the spot without being too sweet. Service was a little slow to start but picked up and at the end was spot on. We would definetely go back

My bf is a HUGE Saints fan, and we love New Orleans. On Sunday (as a surprise for him), we left one bar to go to Springs Orleans to watch the Saints game. As soon as we walk in, we head to the bar to watch football. My bf says to the bartender "Hey what TV has the Saints game" or "Can you change one of these TVs to the Saints game" anyway the bartenders response was "Are you sure the Saints game is on now?" I was DEVASTATED by his question. 1) Its Sunday during football season 2) The COWBOYS game was on - every TV 3) Youre SPRINGS ORLEANS. Why dont you know when the New Orleans, Saints are playing?! We have had dinner here before and the service is HORRIBLE, but we always said we would go back to support this business - it made him feel closer to New Orleans. We will *no* longer support this business. WHO DAT!! ....not Springs Orleans

Disclaimer: Yes, this place has downtown pricing. You will spend money here. It is quality, fresh food deserving of the price tag. This is the best Cajun/Creole restaurant in town. If you want salad and breads sticks with your entrée, go to Olive Garden. Delicious food, dedicated chefs, prompt service, and great atmosphere. Chef Jason has a creative mind with fish specials, and Sous Chef Matthew is on top of his timing to deliver excellent food nice and hot. Occasionally, you can hear the live music of Mr. Dawson Jr. of the Commodores. I recommend this place highly, and I advise anyone reading the two-star reviews to give this place a chance to wow you. Even Michelin 3-Star restaurants get negative reviews. Some people just want to feel important.
