We arrived in Breck super hungry and wanting to find a yummy place for lunch quickly. As we walked down Main Street we kept smelling an amazing smell and literally walked up & down both sides of the street, randomly stopping to sniff the air, until we found it. We must have been a sight to behold - crazy tourists wandering around sniffing the air. So much for blending in with the locals! We finally found the source of the amazing smell tucked away around the corner from the bustle of Main Street - Giampietros. Of course the big question was would it measure up to the standards of two East Coast girls used to amazing NYC pizza. Oh my gosh - it measured up and went beyond our expectations. We ordered by the slice, starting with one (huge!) slice each. Mine with meatballs and my friends with mushrooms. They were amazingly generous with the toppings - mine literally covered with crumbled meatballs and my friends covered in yummy, buttery sauteed mushrooms. My friend also had a side of steamed broccoli (shes the healthy one trying to get in her veggies!) and she said even it was amazing. Perfectly cooked with just a touch of spice & butter. We ended up splitting another slice of mushroom as we couldnt get enough of the pizza, yet didnt want them to roll us out of there. Their food is simply prepared and simply delicious. When we got home I looked it up online and found that they have been named "Best Pizza in Summit County" for the past 8 years. I suspect they will be able to add year 9, 10 and beyond to that title. If youre in Breck be sure to stop by for a slice or two - your mouth will thank you!

Weve dined here many times over the years in Breckenridge. Most recently I arrived and was seated right away but noticed that the booth seats were dirty. When we were served our drinks I noticed that the cups were dirty and spotty like no one oversees the dish washing department. I noticed another patron return her plate for pizza and said it was dirty so I wasnt the only customer being served with dirty dishes. My wife ordered a salad as her main entree and I order a calzone and a salad. We were served the calzone first after a long wait and were told that the salads were on the way even though we asked, and as should be the case for salads first. After almost completing our main entree we were again told that salads were on the way at which point I just cancelled my salad. My wife was finally served her salad in a to-go box along with our check at the end of the meal. The calzone was good, although nothing special. I wont be back because of the lack of sanitation and because when a restaurant cant even serve two salads when the whole place had less than 15 patrons in it indicates to me that something is wrong here... I should note that they didnt charge for my wifes salad which is why I give it 2 stars instead of 1 star.

My boyfriend and I were out to celebrate our anniversary and found that the restaurant we wanted to go to was closed, so we just picked the closest place. That was a mistake. We both ordered their chicken parm and an appetizer of their garlic bread. The bread was thick and soggy with way too much cheese (which wasnt included in the description). The entree followed and it was the worst chicken parm either of us have ever had. It tasted like it had been cooked hours before then refried who knows how many times. The pasta wasnt cooked throughly and some of it was cold. After bringing this to the attention of our waitress, she admitted that the chicken was cooked first thing in the morning and reheated per order. Certainly hope I dont get food poisoning now!! She comped our bill and we left. I will never be back and can understand why they were almost empty.

I am a former professional chef, trained at the culinary Institute of America. I worked in Europe and New York City at many Michelin starred restaurants. My wife and I live in Denver and have a house in Breckenridge where we spend the summers. This restaurant is currently one of the best kept secrets in Breckenridge, and all of the locals know it. They do not share it, however because it is a very small place, and the lines can get long. They do not take reservations. I am consistently impressed with the quality and simplicity of their menu. Try the Penne Ariabiata with sliced sausage on top. The Bolognese is the best I have ever had. Then there is the Short Rib Ravioli. Or maybe just get the arm-sized calzone and drift off into a culinary coma...

Save your money honey!! I dont know where to start with this place... Pretty sure it must be the employees leaving the good reviews. First off, they dont serve ranch?! Waaa? I mean if your pizza is top notch I get it but this pizza is less then sub par. I wish I had ranch to drown the flavor of this stuff. Since they didnt have ranch I ordered a side of Alfredo sauce. Or was it garlic water? I certainly didnt taste any richness or cheese. It was literally garlic water. Terrible!!! We also got a Stromboli. OMG. It was all bread. No cheese, no toppings. Not sure what the heck I paid for?! Please save your money. Id prefer Little Ceasars over this place. Super dissapointed. This place seriously needs to step up their game.

So my boyfriend and I had a craving for pizza our last night in town. We talked to the front desk clerk and he recommended this place and it was completely worth it. The restaurant is quite small but their pizza is probably the best Ive ever had! When we walked in, we gave our name and were lucky enough to swipe part of the bench to sit on while we waited. After a few minutes we were seated and got our drinks and order in promptly. We ordered the deep dish which came out fairly quickly. We took home a lot of leftovers because our pizza was ginormous! The service was great as our waitress never let our glasses get empty, everyone was very friendly, and we will definitely need to make a visit again this January!

I came with a group of 7 people. They took our phone number and said they would call in 90 minutes. We waited the 90 minutes and then finally had to ask if we were going to be seated anytime soon. They told us "it will be another 15-20min". We ended up waiting just over 2 hrs before being seated. They did NOT have room to accommodate 7 people. One of us had to sit on the corner of the table, obviously in the way of wait staff and other customers. When one of us ordered a Shirley Temple the waitress stated "we dont do that here" when we asked for ranch dressing for our pizza she stated "we dont do ranch." The waitress was very rude and the experience was awful. We wont be back.

We were lucky to find this great restaurant. After a few nights of disappointing dining we decided to try this small restaurant. It was the end of the ski season so most restaurants were slow, but this place was packed and there was a wait. We put our name on the list and then did some window shopping. The restaurant called me on my cell when the seats were ready which I thought was real convenient. The food was worth the wait. We had several different dishes, and they were all good. The portions were very big, so we all had to take some home. Its a great little restaurant, but call ahead if you can, because it is a favorite for locals and skiers.
