Im torn between a 2 as horrible and 3 as good. The 2 is due to the service we received outside during happy hour not during our dinner service which was awesome. The happy hour waitress took forever to get us our drinks. We watched several other customers arrive after us yet receive their drinks before ours. Another guy received two rounds of beer before we got served one round? Should have left then. Then when we did get our drinks we did not even get them how we ordered them and she argued with us on how we should drink the liquor we did order ie on the rocks, shaken etc.! Also when we ordered a 2nd glass of wine we didnt even get a fresh glass to pour it in, we were expected to pour it in the same glass as the old and different wine!! Final straw was when she removed my drink that I was still drinking. When confronted she got snarky and said oh I thought it was just ice, maybe it was but I still was drinking it. She goes oh I guess you had it timed just right, haha then said well food for thought for next time and walked off!! Should have left again! But as I was not in charge of the evening I could not. On to dinner. Advised our waiter and Manager of our experience. The manager apologized but again did not offer to replace my drink she removed, not that I even wanted one but that would have been the right thing to have done! Instead one of them told the waitress what we had said so in she walks to apologize for her "poor" service but before she walked out she added BUT I am a very "good" waitress! So essentially she just took back her entire apology. So again we should have gotten up and walked out. There are just way to many amazing restaurants in Denver to waste our time and money in a place that has service like this. And it is not a cheap restaurant either! We will never go back and I will tell everyone to think twice before going to The Summit Steakhouse and if you do just be prepared for snarky service!

Came in with co-workers for a couple of drinks Thursday evening. Candace the bartender really gave our group a hard time. She was rude from the start, stating she didnt have a particular selection of spirits we wanted (its a big bar, & they have had what we requested every other time); two drinks were ordered at the same time & Candace refused to serve two at the same time for reasons unknown. When we inquired as to why, she became very aggressive & even more rude. The bartenders behavior egged on an unlawful chime-in response from a random gentleman sitting a the bar & the whole ordeal was simply distasteful. Candace served the drinks, then asked our party to leave, took one of our co-workers drinks & poured it out right in front of them & still wanted to charge for the drink until one of us mentioned that was not right. Uncertain as to who hired this emotionally unstable, bitter & possibly just-unhappy-with-life woman who doesnt belong behind a bar or in front of people in general. People like that should be fired or simply demoted to janitorial or cleaning duties. This woman was the most pitiful representation of customer service Ive encountered in decades. Its baffling that someone who clearly doesnt enjoy their line of work or serving patrons chooses to be in a position where they encounter people every day & then treat them terribly. Would not recommend going to the Summit if this bartender is still around, just dampens the atmosphere; total buzz-kill. No one wants to be greeted by a rude, non-smiling, snappy & "bothered by customers" employee. The bartender just isnt right for the Summit. Save yourself the trouble & spend your $ at a place that can at least employ someone who can crack a smile. What a shame. Thumbs down.

As much as I hate to write this review, after coming here for years and loving absolutely everything about this place, I feel as though I would be doing the community a disservice to simply ignore the issue. First and foremost, let me start out by saying that this was my "GO-TO" for the best martinis and ruebens in town, in addition to quite a few other items on the menu. That being said, there have been a few changes over the last few months and sadly, they are all for the worse. Specifically, an individual named Candice has joined the team and completely killed the mood and the atmosphere. Having owned a few bars in the past, I understand the importance of a great product and excellent customer service. Both of these qualities are simply only an afterthought for Candice, who kept claiming to be a manager and berating me in front of 3 other guests when I asked for two different martinis. She claimed that she would not allow me to "Two-Fist" the martinis at this bar. Ultimately, when I looked at her in complete and utter dissapointment, this ignorant piece of bartending garbage took the drink out of my hand, dumped it out and asked me to leave, along with 3 other individuals. Simply appalling behavior from a ghastly degenerate desquising herself as a bar manager. SUMMIT STEAKHOUSE ---> YOU USED TO BE A FANTASTIC PLACE. CANDICE IS COSTING YOU THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS A MONTH IN REVENUE. DUMP THAT IGNORANT EXCUSE FOR A BARTENDER INTO THE ABYSS FROM WHICH SHE CAME BEFORE SHE DRAGS YOU DOWN WITH HER.

Wow, This place is under new ownership and I was told by friends to try it. We went on fathers day and inside had only a few tables seated. I counted 5. We had reservations for 9. We were asked to wait while they got a table ready. It took about 10 minutes for this to happen. We were seated and our drink orders taken. After waiting for 20 minutes with no drinks, I asked the bus boy if he could get me a cup of coffee. He told me he could not as the waitress had to charge me for it. I offered to give him cash on the spot and he still would not get me a simple cup of coffee. The drinks finally arrived a few minutes after this. Our order was taken and an appetizer came to the table. I waited a full half hour before anyone showed up to refill my coffee cup and the ladies drinking $20 bottomless mimosas had to wait with empty glasses. The food took some time to make it to the table and while mostly it was tasty, two of us with eggs Benedict had eggs poached so hard we could have easily used them to make deviled eggs with. In the end most everyone enjoyed the food, My coffee cup was only refilled twice in a 2 hour time span and water glasses were never refilled. I will not be going back to visit this establishment as when I go out to an expensive restaurant I expect top notch service for top notch prices, Buyer beware! P.S. I would give half a star if the site would let me!

There were some pros and cons. The customer service was excellent however, the price was a little bit overpriced for the quality of the food. We spend big bucks for a reason and it is to get the good experience. The steaks are not as marinated, the scallop-bacon wrap was the worst plate that weve ever encountered. The oysters were fresh, the bread and butter was okay soft and moist almost like corn bread. The Lamb chops were too dry, it wasnt as quality or fresh. We also ordered the sea bass- the presentation overall wasnt as appealing. However the Halibut had a good presentation, the crab cake was good but the halibut was way overcooked and dry. It has a friendly environment, but the food wasnt worth it. Our bill was over 1000$, the concern is paying for something that wasnt as enjoyable. Pappadeaux, Fogo de chão brazilian steakhouse, and Eddie Merlots is by far more enjoyable in our personal opinion. Im sorry but I will not recommend this place to anyone. Their cream brulee and Tirimisu was good. Overall, the service was excellent, they got our orders right, they were super sweet, and friendly. I really hope this place turns around and improves their quality on food.
