Attempted to redeem the free specialty drink (hot chocolate) with my Yelp check-in but staff said it wasnt valid. However, if I liked the restaurant via another social media outlet the offer would be valid. Either way I got a free hot chocolate to start off the meal. It was delicious and left a whipped cream mustache on my gob. I came for breakfast and biscuits and gravy was on my mind. I ordered the hearty man biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs and sheepherder potatoes. The potatoes were crispy but dry and underspiced. I did not finish them. The B&G were standard. The biscuit was fluffy and homemade. The gravy was peppery which is good. The atmosphere was good. They can really pack the people in here. Plenty of seating for large or small groups. Eggshell has been serving breakfast since 1988. Overall the service was good. The meal was ok. The staff was nice and prompt. The menu had many breakfast and lunch offerings. One can even get quarts of green chili to go! When in Olde Town Arvada one must give it a try. Youll be glad you did.

Well I will say that this place was a surprise. My server Brandi was nice, very knowledgeable on the menu selecrions and suggested the Crepes Lorraine, which was excellent. Two creapes with bacon, egges cheese and a sauce that was just awesome, homefried potatoes. This capped off a long drink to Colorado for work. This little oasis in the heart of downtown Arvada, CO is very special! Tucked aeay on a busy intersection, make sure you use the 2 hour parking spots (limited parking durimg the morning) moght have to walk a block or two, but well worth it. While your here make sure to come back and try the lunch menu as they close early I will return later this week to give it a try and let everyone know. Make sure to stop by The Egg Shell, Arvada.

We hadnt gone in over a year due to bad service. We thought we would give it another try. Our mistake. The waitress only came to the table to take our order and even that was incomplete. One of us wanted to add an OJ to the order but the waitress was already gone. She only returned to deliver our check. Food runner delivered the food and busser returned the credit card receipt. We were never asked if the food was good or if we needed anything else. Once we were done the plates were never cleared. Refills were never offered for beverages. The only good things to say was the food was excellent and the hostess and barista at the coffee bar thanked us very sincerely as we left. Not worth the drive or bad service to have food.

Went in with a party of 8 and was told our wait would be 25 mins. Went to find out what was happening after 40 mins of waiting and was told "we only have a few spots to put you so we have to wait for one of the tables to get up." Well, in the mean time, a party of 7 had arrived. The manager and hostess decided to put two big tables together and sat the 7 top, after they had only been waiting 15 mins. AND we were still waiting to be sat. Went to look at the table and there was plenty of space to add the extra chair to make space for 8. Finally got sat and the girl took our drink order and then took what seemed like a long time to take our food order. So disappointed in this place.

This place has a dirty feeling. The floor looked like it hadnt been cleaned in awhile and the water cups we got were dirty. Our waitress had a very dirty apron and took forever to get our drink orders. She never checked on us after we got the food. Several of the other waitresses were wearing yoga pants. Only one person was dressed professionally. The food: I could make the same thing at home and have it be more tasty. There were no spices used so the food was very bland. My sister got the egg Benedict and it had just a small amount of sauce so that she had to eat her toast dry. Definitely not worth our money and wont be going back.

We arrived for breakfast at 8:13 am on a Saturday, hardly the "breakfast rush"; the place was dead and we were seated immediately. At 8:26 am, no one had come by to even take our drink order, let alone acknowledge us. We were sitting inside close to the kitchen and had been passed by numerous times by the servers. After that I asked the hostess if someone could please help us, after another 5 minutes of no one coming by, we left. I didnt want to risk complaining again and then having our food at risk. I worked on the restaurant industry for 15 years and was appalled by this establishments complete lack of customer service.

While waiting for a table their old benches ripped though my jeans to give me a very unpleasant sliver. We ordered some pretty typical egg dishes. I vary rarely use salt and pepper but found myself dumping it on to get any flavor from my meal. It was supposed to come with toast which the waiter forgot till after I finished my meal. She took our drinks off the check which was nice but I was more disappointed in the food than the service. I dont have any reason to believe that another visit would be any better so we will probably not be coming back unless we notice a new management sign in the window.

Definitely NOT family friendly. The only redeeming quality is the food. The food is excellent. However, the service is the worst that I have ever experienced. Particularly the chubby brunet buss boy. Every time were there I have overheard him talking horribly about customers. Its easy to over hear him because he is obnoxiously loud. The last time we ate in there, I herd him calling me and my family (1 and 2 year old toddlers) a**holes because we "always leave messes". Do yourselves a favor and either order take out, or just dont go!!!!

I have been here about 3-4 times over the course of two years. I have had their omeletes, skillets, and now their Belgium waffles. I would have to say that they are fairly comparable to a nationwide chain except maybe more expensive. The Belgium waffle was not worth it at all! $6.50 for a waffle I can make at a continental breakfast except that is free and I can make unlimited of those... go to IHOP instead you will get better value for your dollar. Although it is a local chain so you may want to put that into consideration.

Dont know who could really say the food is awesome unless your tastebuds are burnt out. My boyfriend and and I tried this place over the weekend because we had heard it was good. Odd decor as you enter, the staff wasnt overly friendly at all. My guy ordered just eggs, toast and breakfast potatoes for $9. He had me taste his eggs that were completely aweful! He had to put hotsauce on them to mask the milky bland taste. I got eggs benedit (my fav breakfast) and it was completely bland!! Just aweful. I will nto go back at all.

Waited ten minutes for our server to greet us, had to go get the manager to even get water at the table. Ran out of food by noon on a Sunday, hardly saw our server throughout the meal. Had to ask other employees for items because of it. Charged $30 for a meal that was $23. Food was subpar, only thing we all really liked was the Bloody Mary. Ive been in the serving industry for over 10 years and this was just bad. Do yourself a favor and go to Bread Winners, far better service.
