heres the thing- after being on Diners Drive Ins and Dives, Putah Creek has been insanely packed with people ever since. im pretty sure they dont ever experience a slow time. Personally, i prefer their breakfast or lunch menu- both of which are amazing. Ive never been very impressed with their dinner menu. Like retail, the staff changes a lot as well. I think it would be great if they could possibly expand to accommodate their new traffic, if not- ill still go back for the waffles topped with seasonal berries, or the ranchers breakfast, or the huevos rancheros.....if you get lunch- get the davis farmers market (its to die for)

Great food, service and in a cute small downtown area. My friends and I arrived within an hour of closing and they were still busy so we grabbed an outdoor table and had fast service. I had a pizza which was cooked on the corner of the street in an outdoor pizza oven. The tastes of the pizza, corn on cob, beans, and all my group had were on the spot. The smokey sauce they serve with the steak is so good youll want to drink it (seriously we dipped everything in it from fries to pizza crust). Large indoor seating area, clean restrooms, and they split the check with no issues. Ill come back if Im in the area.

Breakfast sitting outdoors here was one of the highlights of a short trip to California. Our food was tasty and presented well. Portions were generous. Our server was courteous and friendly. He seemed genuinely interested in making sure we enjoyed ourselves. He checked up on us often, and our coffee cups never ran dry. For whatever reason, I like checking out restaurant bathrooms. You never know what youll find. These were well-done remodels that kept elements of the old building but were still clean and up-to-date.

This is a good local diner and only a few minutes off the I-5. My mom and I split a pretty good chili-cheese omelette. Were from Texas (where chili was invented) and this chili was pretty good. Also had some good homemade jam and some pretty good pie - one three nut and one marionberry. This place also has some huge huge cinnamon rolls and some pretty good looking cookies, but we were too stuffed to partake. This is definitely worth a visit if youre passing by on the I-5.

Like many before me, watching DD&D was the driving force behind visit. First, it took a long time to get noticed by the waitress after being seated. Gave me extra time to figure out what I wanted. Decided on the corn pie listed on the specialties part of the menu. It was extremely bland w/barely a sight of green chilies. Was hoping for more taste. Everyone else in my party said theirs was just okay. Dont know Id go out of my way next time. Maybe for breakfast instead.

Service was okay but food was terrible!! Cold watered down hot chocolate they served me twice and hair in my butter for my French toast! Their french toast is terrible comparable to Dennys if not worse:-( my mans burger was seasonless he ate more fries than burger (he usually finishes burger) We ended up only eating 1 slice of French toast out of 6 and gave his burger to dogs.. good atmosphere just terrible food!! Think they need a better cook and better ingredients~

If youre a SERIOUS foodie like me (theres a difference), then you would be terribly disappointing by this restaurant. First of all, i live 2 hours away and this restaurants hours are nothing less of inconvenient. But, it came highly recommended, so I pushed on. The burger was supposed to be the "star" of the restaurant, but I think Ive had better at Carls Jr. PLEASE: Dont go out of your way. Plus, Buckhorn is right across the street@!

WORST BREAKFAST EVER. this place was recommended but I was very disappointed. I ordered there bacon waffle with fried chicken. It looked good when it can but when I cut into the chicken it was raw (my first thought was Gordon Ramsey). The waitress apologizes and said she would let the manager know. 15 minutes later someone brought my breakfast back. Same plate chicken cut in half and burnt, waffle cold. We definitely wall not go back.

Very nice experience. Comfortable atmosphere and mix of casual and trendy. I was thinking I might need to dress up but dont worry about that. We had calimari and two pizzas in a personal size with one soda for $44. More than we would typically spend but was a nice change. The personal size is fine for two people to share if you are also going to have a salad or share an appetizer.

I take everyone from my Family, that can get here before the rush of patrons at 9:30am, to this Wonderful, Stupendous Café. Their Breakfast menu provides a Variety of tasty choices and their portions are quite generous. You will not leave hungry you will leave knowing that you are going to Return ASAP. Five Stars for Putah Creek Café!! ¤*¤*¤*¤*¤* <=stars LoL!

Very tasty. Got the linguica scramble with house-made salsa, it was amazing. My wife got pancakes with fruit and whipped cream: the cream was so dense, it was almost butter, the pancakes were thick and fluffy, and a side of delectable house-made sausage patties. Only disappointment was the lack of real maple syrup, so we got honey as a topping. Yum!

I place a pizza order via phone and was told I could pick it up in 10 to 15 minutes. I went to pick it up 15 minutes after ordering and it wasnt ready. I continued to wait another half hour and then asked about it. It was not even in line to be made. I was planning on taking it to my daughters university graduation celebration. Super disappointed.

Absolutely amazing. I just adored the place. The food was nothing but delicious and came in good sized portions while being reasonably priced. The staff couldnt have been nicer or more helpful. It was a little busy but nothing to complain about because they had plenty of indoor and outdoor space. Definitely recommended highly for anyone.

This home town cafe has everything you could want. Friendly and efficient staff? Check. Great variety of menu options? Check. Large portions at extremely fair prices? Check. Impossibly large snicker doodle cookies? Oh yah. Do yourself a favor and come here for breakfast or lunch. Expect a wait, but dont worry, its worth it.

We waited for half an hour for a seat and close to an hour for the food to come. This place was quite overrated and I dont know why so many people came here. The food wasnt all that great either - the farmers market sandwich was quite tasteless, and the carrot cake had too sweet a frosting. And there were also flies in the cafe.

This place was terrific. Two of us had the soup and salad with generous portions. The tortilla soup was outstanding. It was simply excellent and the staff was very friendly. No loud conversations but a nice quite lunch. Could not have been happier in a small town setting that lived up to just that--very charming place.

One of the best breakfasts Ive ever had. Huevos Rancheros were beyond my wildest dreams. Got a pitcher of mimosas for four of us and they tasted great. Everyone in our party raved about their food. The next time I am driving to the Bay Area I will stop here for breakfast.
