We eat at all Black Bear restaurant we run across, but this has got to be the worst weve eaten at. No one at front desk, had to wait over 10 minutes, even though a worker coming back from he phone brake saw us, she did call anyone to assist us. Then it took waitress another 10 minutes to acknowledge us. Drinks took another 5 minutes to get then once our order was in and ready, we had to wait for waitress to stop talking to. Patron for another 10 minutes. Food was horrible. But because our other experiences have been great and food too we will continue going but we will DEFINITELY pass this one up!

My family enjoys Black Bear Diner, however this particular Black Bear is sad. After waiting 15 mins for a table for 5, while others coming in after us were seated first, had to ask for utensils not once but twice. Our server was nice, but overall service was slow and the food took forever. Also, had to ask for refills then waited over 5 mins for them, while still waiting for food. I thought there was a rule at good restaurants that you shouldnt see the bottom of your coffee cup? Guess we will just have to drive the extra miles to go to the Vacaville Black Bear, never had a bad meal there!

this is a smaller sized Black Bear. We went there Saturday morning the day before Mothers day. There was a line of people waiting to get a table...which is normal. But I was very surprised to see that there were so many empty tables inside. A question to the hostess revealed that they were short staffed and that things were "a little crazy" inside. We got a very friendly waitress, and she was attentive and keep us in her sights. The food was good, and hot and tasty. Cant really blame the employees for the shortage of help I guess...but overall it went well.

Hungry for food, but dont want to pay for extra service? This is the place. Started as a breakfast spot for lumberjacks in Shasta, the chain has kept the food values. The portions are HUGE and most are under $15. The value comes from not having enough staff to go around. So like I said, If you want a lot of food without people constantly bugging you about more soda or dessert this is the place.

Placed my order over the phone, Simple Eggs Platter Breakfast. Showed up after 40 minutes. Ended up standing around in the restaurant for an additional half hour waiting for my food. Came out 75 minutes after I called in. I wasnt even going to write a bad review but they FORGOT to give me one of the items i paid for... Oh and somehow, my food came out Luke warm.

A wonderful place to eat with family and/or friends. They have accommodations for disabled, groups, and children.The menu choices are big and tasty. The staff is friendly, full of smiles and ready to serve you during your entire meal. This is a place you could go to for a full meal or just the desert. Either way you will have leftovers to take home.

Horrible service and every order out of 9 were wrong in some way. Waited well over an hour for food with only 2 other tables with people there. 1 of the parties got up and left because their food was an hour wait. What used to be a good family place to eat has gone down hill. This is the last time I take my family there.

I have been a Black bear diner fan for sometime, even before opening the diner in Suisun. Today we had a most pleasant meal and time in the restaurant. Very well trained, people oriented staff. I will definitely recommend this spot to anyone looking for a warm, welcoming diner.

Prices greatly increased after 2006... and the extremely great value per portion ... and post 2010, at this location anyhow, parents feeding their fam with 2.5 kids can expect to eat for 2 days as usual... but not at the past prices of wow, yet the high price of now.

I have eaten there for years and it is under new ownership. the place is now filthy the bathrooms look like something from the bus station and the food portions are smaller. I will never eat there again

Everything was a HIT!! Food was good, portions were huge, prices were reasonable, and service was on point. I ordered breakfast during lunch time. Would def. go back if I was in the city.

On july 1st about 30 of us went in for breakfast,only 1 waitress on duty.she and the crew managed to feed all of us and get us out the door in 30 minutes,a with a smile and great food.
