We were so excited to go here after so many great experiences in NYC...But OMG, awful service and management that goes out of their way to embarrass their customers, servers who blame the kitchen and runners. So sad that a NYC institution falls flat on its face in Hollywood. Dont waste your time here - not worth the price tag when you could go to Terroni, Bottega Louie or anyplace else (dare I say Olive Garden?!? Yes it was that bad of an experience!) Fyi - in attempt to discuss with management we were mocked and belittled for expressing our desire for satisfactory meal at what is expected to be a finer dinning experience. Diner beware...Go anywhere but Serafina. This place is the worst of Hollywood. You should finally note that theyve hidden their Facebook page for fear you might find how much people hate them...Isnt it interesting?!?

Beautiful restaurant, nice open feeling and happy colors. That is what the one star is for. We went there for "happy hour", they do not have a happy hour menu as there is no food on happy hour, there is one red wine ( a blend I was told that tasted to me like it was left over wines from the day before mixed all together) and one white wine that was equally bad. The service was a bit scattered but then they had not been open very long. We had 2 appetizers that tasted bland and were expensive, other people at the bar agreed their food was great looking but so bland. All in all it was $70 for 2 glasses of wine and 2 (bland tasting) appetizers.

Came here for dinner on a Saturday night. This place is the old Maia restaurant. Not much has changed in terms of decor. However, the food is much better. We waited for 40min for our table which was extremely frustrating. The food was Italian cuisine which I liked. The salads were excellent. New restaurants in LA are a dime a dozen, and making guests feel truly welcome is what makes people want to return ~ our server remedied even the couple of opening week glitches with such a terrific attitude and genuinely strived to make his guests happy. There was no attitude.

I wish I could have rated this place with no stars. The bartender didnt know how to mix drinks, the Penne Alla Vodka was trash, and they charged my card for someone elses table; meanwhile Ive been waiting two weeks for them to refund my card.
