I visited Cilantros restaurant early December. My experience is based on customer service. If you want to be treated without respect as a customer visit this local restaurant. I made reservations for a party of 8 and was told it would be a 10 minute wait when arrived, almost an hour later my party and I waited to be seated. The hostess kept reassuring me our table would be ready in 5 minutes but kept seating others. While we waited we witness the restaurant owner Jose yell at a customer! It was unbelievable that he would yell at any customer nonetheless a woman who btw we observed do nothing wrong but wait where we were all waiting. He Made it clear, while he yelled at this customer, that he was the owner of the restaurant and he can do anything! After witnessing that my party and I took our business to Palapas. We try to stay with local businesses but when you receive poor customer service is not worth it! Especially with owners that dont appreciate your business. This business owner needs to be reminded that the community members are the ones who help local businesses thrive.

What a pleasure to visit this great restaurant! As a lifelong vegetarian I was happy to find that the beans were lard-free and the rice had no chicken stock. I ordered the enchilada plate and it was fresh delicious! And even the amazing food paled in comparison to the super excellent service we received. The hostess greeted us with a smile and we were seated quickly. And our waitress Juanita was attentive, intelligent and helpful. Between her and the busser we didnt have to ask once for refill of water, salsa, chips or drinks. As we would be almost finished, everything would be refilled almost like magic! The food would taste better if the staff wasnt so grumpy. Mariachi band couldnt smile and had stained shirts. They now started charging on chips and salsa for pick up orders, but its free on the table. Paid $18 for a chill and cheese with a tortilla and some ground beef, house beans and refried beans. They cant give some chips or a warm tortilla to eat their mushy food with? Too bad, I had hope and I cant recomend going there for a nice dining experience. The hostess had to go spend 5 minutes getting a manager, making my pick up cold- to tell me I had to pay for chips. No. I wish I hadnt tipped.

Cilantros voted one of Santa Cruz Counties "Best" restaurants on the central coast every year for over a decade. The Authentic Mexican cusine will leave you satisfied. The drinks are made very taseful, and after a nice dinner in the restaurant you can walk over to the lounge and enjoy a variety of sports on one of seveal (I think maybe 7 flat screens tvs). If the weather is nice, eat outside on their patio. All in all its a great place. Only negative, a bit pricey. But as with everything good, you gotta pay the price. Very Strong 4.5 stars! -Chris

The food is okay, but I wouldnt recommend it because of the bad service that we got from this waitress named Pricilla we felt she was discriminative towards us because she pretended not to speak Spanish when clearly she didnt understand us in the beginning, and later proceeded to tell us that she does speak Spanish, in the end she refused to later serve us when we were nothing but nice.

Asada tacos were good, not great. Rice and beans were cold and not very good at all. Service was even worse as the servers were borderline rude and inattentive. We were with a larger group that was shuffled out rather quickly and were not told that a service charge had been put on the tabs, so the servers received double tips...maybe they should have informed us?

Great Local Flair with Wonderful Food, and Fun Atmosphere . Large groups celebrate special occasions here often, Mariachis , full Bar , and homemade corn tortillas made daily on site. Often 2 or 3 fresh seafood specials, and indoor / outdoor sitting. Local favorite . Just off Highway One @ Main St, Exit. Good Service . $$$$ YUM!

The food is ok, but over priced and the service is bad!! Slow, rude, got over charged for a change in my order. I wanted half chicken and steak in my burrito and was charge an extra $5 dollars and wasnt even told until i saw the very high bill! I think I will skip this place and go to Taco Bell next time!

The food was decent and in my opinion the service was great. However I cant recommend it when there are so many outstanding taquerias in Watsonville with better food/prices. I had the sope and chile relleno combo, and while the sope was not bad, the chile relleno was a bit soggy.

I love this restaurant...and the fact that KPIG, a local radio station, comes every Tuesday night is just an added bonus! I like to go here after work and just enjoy the atmosphere and eat great Latino food...I highly recommend it...especially on Tuesday nights!! he he

I had a very lovely experience at Cilantros! Our waiter, Aaron was especially friendly and we were well taken care of, we never had to ask for water or chip refills. Food was delicious and I particularly appreciated the vegetarian menu. Great experience, well be back!

Well if you want $8 cold tacos and $10 Tasteles burritos go here. The staff here are rude and dont give a damn ! Stay away from the bar this is Watsonvilles gangster hang out! Police is always here because of fights.

BEST Mexican anywhere! If you disagree, youre wrong. Worth driving to Watsonville for. Their nachos are perfect. Their Cilantros Special Dinner is a work of art.
