Id recommend checking your recipe after you pay as I found mine had a $5.00 unknown charge, when I asked the cashier "Ulices" about it I was given the money back immediately but no explanation. While we were waiting for our sandwiches to be made my daughter was drinking their complimentary waster they had out (which had a lid on it) and I noticed bugs floating in the water. I called a worker over and let him know he laughed about it. We took our food to go, once we sat to eat one of the sandwiches (being $9.00) had absolutely no meat on it. Just a bunch of veggies. I tried going back to the deli, a worker named Melissa refused to help me saying they were closed and the person who was inside disappeared upstairs which looked to be a house on top of the shop. We asked for a manager # and even the owners #. She refused and said they wont be there untill next Thursday.... 5 DAYS AWAY! Very bad business here!!

August 2011 - We were visiting Monterey and this place seemed to have a nice location and atmosphere. Well, thats about where the good comes to an end. Food was ok. Id say a 3.5. Nothing special, but was good enough. My low rating comes mostly from their staff, which was somewhat unfriendly and apathetic. Their ordering system doesnt really make sense, either. They had signs up that said they include a bunch of condiments and toppings on ALL of their sandwiches. This just makes it confusing to order. Instead of just saying what you want on it (i.e, mayo, mustard, etc.) you have to figure out what you DONT want. Again, confusing. Especially for first time customers. The employees taking our order seemed confused/distracted to top it off. Not surprisingly, they got our order wrong. Twice. We visit Monterey a few times a year, and I doubt well ever come back here. Mostly to the fault of their customer service.

We stopped by this hole in the wall deli located behind the Thomas Kinkade Gallery. Wow, what a great experience. First, when most food is outrageously priced this place offers a sandwich and soda for $10. I ordered the Monterey Bay smoked salmon sandwich it was the best I have ever had. The salmon was several thick pieces with amazing flavor. Fresh cucumber and cream cheese spectacular on a sourdough roll. The service was fast. This is a small family run business. If you want to pay and experience local prices and hospitality stop here. All of the tourist types go to Bubba Gump, instead. You do have to be really skinny to get into the bathroom.

Very good family run deli. Opens early, at 7 am, and they have very good breakfast items. Their lunch menu also has great choices and I love that they have a variety of salad options. They serve Carmel Valley Roasting Company brand coffee which is very good as well. Staff is always very friendly and helpful every time I go. Pricing is very reasonable compared to other restaurants in the area.

Fantastic deli immediately off the running/biking trail in Cannery Row. I had the French Turkey sandwich. The only bad thing is that no other food will ever taste as good again. Ever again. Ive tried recreating the sandwich myself, but its just not the same. Now I just live my life as a shell of a man, one day at a time. But often I think of that great deli, and the sandwich that got away.

After wandering the crowds and noise and overpriced restaurants on the row, we found this place and Im so happy we did!! The food was pretty good and the seating area is quirky and relaxing. Definitely coming back next time Im here. Also, they serve breakfast all day!! I had an omelette and my friend had a smoked salmon clam chowder in a bread bowl.

Typical tiny greasy deli. Went at lunchtime and it was empty. Didnt have enough to use a credit card, which is fine, but then he told me to put my stuff back. No wonder that place was empty. Lazy lazy owners...

A very small neighborly deli with good soups and sandwiches. Also good for breakfast as early as 8:00 am. On the bicycle path, walking distance to the Aquarium and Cannery Row.

The food is good, and the decent service is a god-send in an area plagued by exceptionally bad service. Its right off the bike trail and the outdoor seating is nice.
