Flavorless and dry. So sad :-( --- Seeing so many of my friends give this place high marks suggests one of the following: 1) My taste buds are broken. 2) Five Guys had an off night. 3) Five Guys used to be great, but for some reason descended into lousiness. Perhaps a combination of all three? Because tonight I had an "all the way" bacon cheeseburger, which includes (among other things) sauteed onions, mushrooms, pickles, mayo, ketchup, mustard, etc. You know what I tasted most? Very dry, overcooked, unseasoned beef and pickles. You know what I ended up craving? An Innout moist, flavorful animal-style cheeseburger (at half the price). I mean, seriously people, how can this happen? How is it scientifically possible for a burger with all the aforementioned* (especially bacon and grilled onions!) to resemble so much of the mouth feel and (I imagine) taste of cardboard? Just makes me so sad. Yes, InnOut is thankfully much closer to me, but... I just wasted $5 and (worse yet) a lot of my caloric intake on this thing :(. *I didnt actually detect an iota of ketchup or mustard or mayo. Maybe they simply forgot to put that stuff on?

4.5/5 For a review of the burgers themselves, YouTube damn drops five guys; it is very accurate. First off I just want to say this is my equivalent of a perfect score as true perfection is impossible, but they do get damn close. These guys really care about their customers, and their job. They are passionate and go above and beyond when doing their job. They always give you a positive vibe, and service with a smile. Hell they will even talk with you when they arent busy if you start up a tiny conversation. They are simply awesome. I have received better customer service here than at places like Aleksandrs Steakhouse or Fogo De Chao, which are both super luxurious and expensive ($60+ per person). Not to say they gave me bad service at those locations, just that this specific store is so good at it! Thank you Sunnyvale crew for all of your hard work, and a special shout out to Jason and Wesley for their constant diligence and care for making the customer have the best possible experience. I go here weekly for these above reasons, sometimes multiple times a week.

I used to love coming here for American burgers and fries. Then I submitted an application for a job and I got the job and I still work there. Its very interesting to me reading these reviews because now I see what customers want they want clean tables, fries that are not too greasy, and well cooked burgers. P.S. I also wish I could suggest kids size hot dogs but I dont think that this franchise is that flexible or any other franchise because we work by the rules of the original Five Guys and whatever they implement we do that. Meaning that the CEO of Five Guys could shut us down if we implement another type of a sandwich that we are not told to make. So if you dont like the $5 hotdogs for your kids we apologize. But I will definitely send a letter to the main Five Guys office about an idea for kids size hot dogs that will be about $3!

DONT recommend going to. Funny how its described as "fast food chain" when my order wasnt even called after 20 minutes of waiting then again the guy calling them out was barely audible. The place was dirty, the employees dont even clean the tables, every single table had a lot of crumbs and even under one table was a big spill of crumbs. The food is pricey, ordered size of regular fries and it was about $3, and when i got them they were in a small cup about the size of water cups. They were nastily greasy. The burger wasnt impressive either, they taste about the same as a backyard bbq burger anyone can make. Not to mention there was a part of pink meat so it was not fully cooked either.

Five Guys Banks a wonderful hamburger. There are many Burger is the best Ive seen it doesnt fill you up but doesnt make you feel hungry either and its just like having a Big Mac but better. The location is nice it used to be the Red Barn fast food was a kid in the seventies and then it had shut down and became country end which was comfort food and it was excellent food that went on for about 20 years and then five guys moved in about six seven years ago and it is wonderful place to go either you repeating that some people are upbeat there and I like the one in Mountain View and also the one in Sunnyvale for a good to you

The first time I had a Five Guys burger was in Philadelphia and I remember enjoying it so much that I was excited to see it back in the Bay area. The reason for just the 3 stars though is that for just a cheeseburger and fries, you can expect to pay almost $12. As good as the burgers are, theyre certainly not $12 good. The burgers are big, thick and juicy...and I do love dousing it with the malt vinegar. What also separates this place apart from other burger joints is their free peanuts. I would recommend trying at least once.

I didnt know what to expect when my wife and I came over to this place to have a quick bite on a late Tuesday night, but wow we were glad we made it! The burgers are large and I asked for regular fries and I ended up with a brown bag full of fries that, I swear, weighed a freakin pound and a half! The bacon cheese that I mowed down was juicy and delicious. My wife didnt finish hers, it was too big! Love the 80s and classic rock tunes, too! The price is right; "Best Bank for the buck..."

This place was just alright to me. A lot of my friends had been raving about this chain, so I felt compelled to give it a shot. Here are my takeaways: 1. the burgers were just average 2. the cajun fries were decent 3. there were waaaaaaay too many people in the cooking area 4. the price was reasonable Given the relatively average experience, I would say that if you happened to be in the area, its worth grabbing a meal there, but definitely not a place worth going out of your way for.

Tried this place because I saw a line out the door for a week after it opened. Plain and simple, not good. Fries were so soggy I had to toss half the cup. Could not finish the burger, just no good. I dont eat burgers that often, so when I do it needs to be delightful. Better burgers at The Counter, Red Robin, In-n-Out, Nations, The Habit ,,, the list goes on. Positives:price was not bad, easy to order online, and a decent selection of toppings.

Tried for the first time. Theyre coming to the UK so thought itd be fun to try the original for comparison. Very pleased with the burgers (AND the chips/fries. For the first time I realised just how mediocre In N Outs ones are) and the range of toppings (for free) is awesome. Price too is not bad, and certainly cheaper than the British prices from what Ive seen. When Im back will definitely be going here again and again

Burgers Ive had from here have all been quite tasty and the price is good for what you get. As others have said though, order "Little" on things, their "regular" size burger is actually a double and are quite huge. The "Little" cheeseburger is more than enough for me. Also, i love the boxes of peanuts, no reason to eat the fries when they have all-you-can-eat delicious salted in-shell peanuts available for free.
