I am a huge Italian food fan and I can honestly say that this is a great Italian restaurant. Our table feasted and everything was amazing. I would recommend getting the fried cauliflower (appetizer) and the lasagna, both were phenomenal. The service was delightful. I would describe it as a cross between a high-end restaurant and a family diner. The servers were incredibly professional without being pretentious. The staff seem to be very happy which says a lot about how the family restaurant is run. I never had the pleasure of coming here before the big renovation, but the new decor is beautiful. The bar is big and really well done. If you have come here since the reopening and thought it was a little loud, dont worry, I am told that the owner is aware and is working on a fix. Overall the place is a lot of fun and has great food. What more could you want in a neighborhood restaurant? As a bonus, check out the garden out front! It has all kinds of herbs, leafy green vegetables and gorgeous flowers.The red kale is beautiful.

I like the listed menu and decided to try it. Send like a more traditional italian restaurant with the dishes. Tries the gnocchi since all their pasta is supposedly made in house. It came with a nice pesto sauce and some asparagus, but also the dollops of ricotta, which were unnecessary. Thinly sliced bread and a great tomato vinegar sauce came as well. Wines are expensive when ordered by the glass, but everything was tasty

food was tasty but incredibly heavy. fried cauliflower came in an OCEAN of oil as did the ginger carrots. If I wanted to drink oil, I would have asked for a glass. seared fish was excellent -- but thank goodness I asked for the sauce on the side. it was again super heavy and tasted like flavored oil!

One of the best Italian spots in the Bay, hands down. My boyfriend and I came here for dinner and we had an amazing experience. The staff was so friendly and attentive, and the food was delicious! We came for authentic Italian dishes, and this place served exactly that. We will be coming back!

Many delicious Italian dishes to choose from. Smaller place but room for groups of people. Whole familes welcome, nicely decorated, beautifully set tables and attentive staff. Yummy authentic desserts, hopefully you will be there when they have the lemon cake. Has a well stocked bar

The food here is delicious! I can only speak for vegetarians, as I dont eat meat. However, they accommodate my dietary needs and restrictions every time I eat at Salvatores. An absolute must try is the gnocchi. You will not regret your decision =)

What a great find. Affordable, no nonsense, terrific Italian food. The staff knew what they were talking about, knew people and greeted them by name. I think I might even call that the best Italian food I have had in a long time.

Nice interior, warm, and inviting. Delicious pasta with clams and moist fluffy chiffon cake offered by restaurant for my bday. Pasta was just a tad overcooked. Otherwise, a lovely meal.Will be back to try more!

Lasagna was excellent, but the chicken in my Marsala was a bit dry. Good wine selection and service. Its an open place with all hard surfaces, so can be a bit loud.
