The meal was amazing, but when our waiter, named May, asked us if we needed more time, she walked away with a slight attitude, saying nothing, and never came back to take out order. 10 minutes after we were done looking at the menu, a man, I presume is the manager, took our order and was very good and let me customize the way I wanted the sauce on my penne pasta meal. He was patient and kind, and when he asked us if we wanted a starter meal, and I was deciding on the spot if I did want one, he didnt pressure me to pick one. Later, the first waiter, May, refilled our glasses with more water, but then spilled water all over the table and continued to pour more water all over table after she said "oops my bad" in an unconvincing apologetic way (she didnt sound sorry), while the water spilled onto my legs and around my purse. Then she nonchalantly said "Ill clean that up" and walked to the back of the restaurant and came back, walking past us and helped someone else...she never helped us clean up her mess, so we cleaned it up instead. So thats when I asked her for her name and she asked nervously why, and I said I was just curious. Shes a horrible waiter. I didnt tip her.

I visited your location for dinner on Monday, February 6, 2017, around 6:30 - 7:00 pm. My guest was satisfied with his plate and I ordered a Calzone, but was given a pizza. Not too big of a deal, however, I did order two additional to-go dishes; Spaghetti and Meatballs and Chicken Fettucini Alfredo. For the price I paid for these dishes, I expected a high quality. The spaghetti was mushy as were the meatballs and they lacked seasoning. The fettucini was hard and clumped together. The Alfredo sauce had turned into pure oil and there was a thick layer of it. It turned out to be inedible. I have gone to your restaurant in the past and enjoyed the quality of the food. This was a major let down for me. The service was good, but it seemed your location was understaffed with waiters. I understand it was the holidays, but even still, the quality should be much higher. Judging by other reviews on here, I am not the only one with an oily experience.

Absolutely loved our first dining experience at Tomatina! I search out Italian restaurants and being new to Northern Ca, I had to stop in. The food was fantastic! We started off with garlic rolls and meatballs, which are incredibly moist, split the shrimp scampi and ended with vanilla-lemon cheesecake! Our waiter provided great service and made sure not to overlook us amidst a very busy a Thursday night crowd! But I must admit, the general manager, Maxamilian Jartos, is superb at his job! Watching him interact with customers seated at tables, along with those either waiting for a seat or picking up food to go, was delightful and refreshing. He gives new meaning to the word "Multitasking"! We will definitely be returning soon...I have my eye on one of the May specials!

I ordered some egg-parm for lunch with a Ceaser side salad. Unfortuantely, I found a house fly, all mashed up, halfway through the salad and pointed it out ot he staff. They did offer me a new salad but my apettite at that point was shot. I refused, barely touched the parm and found out that I was billed for the salad despite the fly. Needless to say, its the last time Ill ever go to that place and also let my firends know to watch out for some extra garnishes.

Just popped in for their lunch special. $10 for a small salad and decent sized pasta. I feel full, but not too full (I can eat a decent amount). Wish a slice or two of bread came with it, but coming in at 1:00 and out by 1:25 was awesome as i work down the street. it was not very busy, probably 70% full. will definitely return for a quick lunch. its much better tasting and healthy to spend a total of 12 or 13$ including tip rather than 7$ at burger king!

Ill be honest, the food was good, BUT the service was terrible. We waited an hour and a half to get seated (told it would only take 45 min). With a baby, the staff was NOT AT ALL accommodating. The staff seemed annoyed and frankly a little rude to our entire party. It took literally over an hour for us to get our meals. If you have SEVERAL hours to spare for dinner this is the place for you

Painfully bland. Bellini, ceasar salad and garlic rolls were all unbearably bland and cheap tasting. Pizza was acceptable. Pasta entree had a considerable price tag and more blander than bland, no taste whatsoever. " Lemonade " has not been anywhere near a lemon it is just Seltzer water.

Great food! But the worst service ever. Order 2 calzones. When picking up had one ask for the marinara sauce, they brought us one "large", luckily I checked, wasnt even half full, asked for another and got major attitide. The service needs to change

No crowds on Tuesday for lunch. I hear Tuesday night is half price bottles of wine though so it will get crowded. Love the piadine and the pizzas. Service today was great but last time, it was not so that is why 4 and not 5 stars.

What have they done to this place? Used to be an all time favorite in town. Lousy sloppy cooks have ruined just about every recipe. No thought goes into the preparation of food and a very unhappy staff and customers is the result.

This place is awesome. I love the atmosphere along with the wonderful food and wine. I definitely recommend trying a side of their gnocchi. The wood fired pizza is great too. This has become our go-to place in Walnut Creek.

Get the Caesar Piadine. A friend that introduced me said he could eat one everyday of the week. Im right there with him if I lived closed and could deal with the garlic breath left over. Oh garlic rolls also are bomb.

Food and drinks were great but dinged one star because the food took so long to come out. Tables that arrived after us received their food well before us. Overall good food and atmosphere but slow service.

If you want to overpay for bad food, this is the place. In the picture is what supposed to be a spaghetti in sauce, got a bowl of oil with some cheaply made spaghetti in it. One bite was enough.

Tomatina is our girls night dinner venue of choice! Its also our girls afternoon lunch venue of choice :) Come hungry. The portions are huge and the food is intense. And intensely delicious.

The pizza here is always very good and the service usually above average. The rest of the food outside of the pizza is good but not great. Think two cuts above CPK and youve got Tomatina.

Terrible food. Meatballs taste worst than freezer food. Pizza was just oil soaked dough. The waiters were rude and the bus boys probably the nicest people around

Bland as F***. These people have been catering to the geriatric set for too long. This is not what Italian food is supposed to taste like.

Food is average, a tip for Tomatina is to give your guests actually bread and not hard and stale breadsticks that no one wants to eat.

Thrilled to see so many gluten-free items to choose from. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Will definitely be back.
