First, the decor and ambiance is very nice. The colors and such are a little showy, but not over the top. Second, the food is great. We had bread and three dishes for four people. Less than $50 including a tip and we took some home. I went for just the basic stuff for sharing, naan, a lamb dish, two vegetable dishes, rice, and a couple Indian drinks. Each dish was spiced individually and very flavorful – none of the one size fits all spicing that is so often found at Indian restaurants. We asked for light heat, so the spicing was just a little warm, and not one dimensional heat other places have. You could taste the fresh ingredients, enjoy the different spices, and feel a little warmth. They know how to use the spice well. I’m very pleased to have Traditions open up just a couple blocks from my place. I used to go to Dosa Place down the road, but until Dosa Place learns how to control their spices and salt – I’ll be going to Traditions.

Although the variety of food items for a mid-size restaurant buffet was not bad at all, but I really expected some red meat assome indians eat it. The overall food was good. There is one thing which is not an indian problem alone but the problem of many countries that are not used to the buffet culture. I could feel that the staff was secretly watching to see hou much I ate and I really don't like that. After my second plate, they automatically put my bill on my table meaning that's it. How did they know I was done?? Magicians!!

One of the best indian places in OC. You dont get the same "orange creamy gravy" for all the dishes you order. Prices are very reasonable, ambiance is great. not the cheesy indian decor you get elsewhere. definitely give it a try. I am waiting to try the buffet!

Every time we come here they treat us like family. The owners love kids and always hand out little toys to our children. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is delightful. Try their version of mulligatawny soup, absolutely my favorite.

Horrible service. Sign outside the restaurant said $6.99/ lunch buffet when we received the check, the owner charged $9.99/person. Owner then said this sign is from last week and shouldnt be there. Bunch of BS, never going back.

Been to this place at least half a dozen times now. Good food, good service, good reception. As i eat vegetarian, cannot comment on chicken/meat times. But, veggie food was good.

Very spicy food when we ordered medium spicy. They nickel and dime for onion! No other restaurant in southern California would charge for this.
