I used to love this restaurant when it was newly opened. Food quality was good, service was below average but acceptable. But almost since Nov 2015, i can see the food quality going down, service has become unacceptable. Me being a known regular customer i was insulted in front of the relatives visiting us. The owners serving there are really rude and have no respect towards their customers. Yesterday was the second time I was told NO , kitchen is closed at 9.20 PM, that too for to go order. They are open until 10PM, you just can not close the kitchen at 9.20 PM. Needs a lot of improvement in food quality and the customer service. Not recommended..

I met a colleague at their office in Tustin around lunch time and we decided to come here for lunch. Its off walnut just south Tustin ranch in the plaza with the Korean restaurant. There is plenty of parking but the spaces all seem like fir compact cars we had to move ours to the side of the building. The food is really good and taste authentic. I would highly recommend the food. We had the lunch buffet which had a good selection and variety of items for $9.99. The service was also good and they were really attentive to our water refills and bringing is fresh naan.

Tons of options for a meal that includes lots of different dishes -- samosas, biriyanis, curries...and dosas. Dosas are less often included in Indian menus so seeing that was a treat, but this place was kind of pricey for dinner and stingy on the sides. We had multiple curries and we ended up only receiving a single side of rice. Naan was an extra $3 and didnt come w/ a very substantial portion at all, which was somewhat disappointing b/c whatre you going to eat your curries with otherwise? For the portions and the lack of naan/rice, this was pricey.

place was empty on a Saturday night (only 2 tables filled of about 20 tables total). I love Indian food, but this was mediocre food and for service we had to find the waiter to get the check. There were about 7 hungry people in our party and nobody ate much. I wont be back. The restaurant is clean and has nice decor. One of the other reviews is for sushi and the other positive reviews all sound very similar. Just sayin

I was theyre first customer about a year and a half ago. I was afraid that I would miss the previous restaurant (sushi time) but was pleasantly surprised. India Gate is above all my favorite restaurant. Im there at least twice a week for the lunch buffet. At least 25 of my coworkers go for the buffet also. We have going away get togethers and birthday lunches there too. I highly recommend this restaurant. Give it a try.

Poor customer service. During buffet, the items were not available on time. I had to go ask twice if the depleted items were going to be replenished. It was replenished after 15 minutes, by which time, I had finished lunch. They seem to have written the book on how to lose a paying customer. The owner was rude and downright condescending. Food quality was OK. Save your money, go somewhere else.

We decided to come in on a Wednesday afternoon for lunch buffet. It was quite busy but we were seated immediately. Parking was difficult just because I think the parking spots outside are made for smaller cars some parked on the side of the building. The food was really good and tasted fresh. Very glad we came here and will be back.

I Stopped in for lunch today after reading a review in the OC Weekly. Restaurant is spotlessly clean, linen table covers, linen napkins and a great buffet with multiple main dishes and a selection of desserts. 4 hours later I am still full. Great value for lunch.

Im very picky with my food and never tried Indian before. To my delight I was surprised with all the fresh food and amazing flavors. Im trying once Ive been back three times in my family and we all love it. The staff is friendly and the food is delicious!!

This place is a solid 4 stars for Indian Cuisine. It is buffet style, so the spread is amazing. They have all of the traditional dishes one would expect from an Indian Restaurant, but I would highly recommend getting the Fish Vindaloo and the Simosas.

This place is small and gets busy during lunch, but I always manage to get seated s soon as I walk in. The quality and flavor of the lunch buffet food is good. The food is always fresh. The servers and owners are very attentive.

They have good food and it is all you can eat after 5 pm for 20 bucks. It is NOT a buffet, you order and they make it fresh and serve it. The only problem is that we always over eat. LOL

Very tasty! The butter chicken is one of the best Ive ever had. Careful when ordering any goat dishes - there are small bones. My husband found out the hard way and almost cracked a tooth.
