I am a huge fan of Indian cuisine. If you are a purist, you may not like this. They created the menu for folks who are clean-eaters (no artificial color, preservatives, etc.) and use less oil, butter, and fats for healthier eaters. Although, for a fast-casual concept, this place did not disappoint me. The way to think of L.A. Biryani is the “Subway” of Indian food where everything is made to order where they shoot to have orders out within five minutes. Samosa Chaat is fried pastry with garbanzo beans, masala, tamarind, mint, sweet yoghurt, and fresh pomegranate. These crispy bites were filled to the brim and pack some heat. The garbanzo beans (chickpeas) added a flavorful, filling component. Rating: 4.3/5 Chicken Lollipop are fried chicken tulips served with curry leaves and lemon chili cilantro sauce. This was my favorite item on the menu! If you love chicken wings, you’ll love these. They were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The two dipping sauces worked great so you can control the balance of flavors with each bite. The chili sauce was spicy but not overly spicy. The yogurt sauce helped cool and refresh the palate. Rating: 5/5 Chicken Curry is a house special chicken dish cooked in curry sauce along with freshly ground spice blend. This dish had a beautiful reddish, orange color. The spices not only made a beautiful color but flavored the dish with herbaceous, spicy, savory, and smoky notes. This dish needs to be ordered with a side a rice as not to waste any of that sauce. Rating: 4.5/5 Lamb Biryani starts with rice pilaf topped with marinated boneless lamb and served with flavored yogurt and yellow gravy. The lamb was juicy, tender. The rice pilaf was flavorful and paired well with the lamb. The yellow gravy worked the best with this dish. The yogurt sauce had a cooling effect but a little too spicy which overpowered the lamb flavor. Rating: 5/5 Chicken Biryani starts with rice pilaf topped with bone-in marinated chicken and served with flavored yogurt and yellow gravy. The chicken had a nice flavor, especially since it was cooked on the bone. The yogurt sauce worked better with this dish. Rating: 4/5 Palak Paneer is grilled cheese tossed in a pureed spinach sauce with house blend spices. This was the brightest green palak paneer I have ever seen. They use fresh spinach for the sauce so it retains the vibrant green color. Even with the greenness from the spinach, the sauce was rich and savory. This is another dish that you definitely want to order a side of rice to catch all of that sauce. Rating: 4.5/5 Kulfi is frozen thickened milk flavored with saffron and nuts. It tasted like ice cream. The saffron was very light but the sauce gave it a custardy feel. Rating: 4.1/5 Manilla Pastry is a layered chocolate cake with nuts and marshmallows along with cardamom white chocolate sauce and a scoop of kulfi. The chocolate cake was spongy and reminded me of a cake my mom used to make for me as a child. The white chocolate cardamom sauce made an interesting contrast of sweet and savory. The soft marshmallows, nuts, and creamy kulfi added textural contrast to the dessert. Rating: 4.1/5

This place was recommended by a friend who said the chef here has spent over 2 years in getting all the recipes and it is very authentic . We ordered for a meal which included 3 entrees and bread plus a chicken biriyani . We chose chicken curry , paneer and dal Makhni with the meal . The condiments like green chilli chutney , raita , onions etc were placed separately . We also ordered the masala cola and mango lassi . Rotis were ok , the chicken curry was good , paneer apparently was delicious and dal Makhni I would say average. The masala cola was very sweet as they used cane sugar soda . The biriyani came almost after 30 mins which wasnt a good sign , we didnt complaint as we were not in a hurry but when we are on the dining table I prefer all my food reach there on time . The lassi was good . We have to order our food and a table number is allocated to us and the food lands on our table . Interior was not screaming india , neither the music thats because it caters to the Crowd in LA and not Indians I am told . I being an Indian , I guess my expectations is way too high . Try their biriyani if you are around , its very flavourful indeed .

I accidentally stumbled to this Fast Indian casual LA Biryani located in Santa Ana. This restaurant was a surprise, I never heard of this restaurant before, so I naturally inquired the staff, by the way very friendly, said this opened recently. The Ambiance was very cool and refreshing, I ordered Chicken Lollipop prefect with Kingfisher Beer & Chicken Tikka Biryani. Food was perfectly cooked with the right amount of spices and the flavor was Yum. I and my mate thoroughly enjoyed the food, ambiance and Beer. I would recommend this place very highly, dont forget beers are bloody cheap too. Hope you will have a good time as I did. Thank you LA BIRYANI, see you soon.

We tried this place due to good reviews and found it to be good. So here it is: Pros: We tried lamb biryani (boneless). It was rich and tasty, served in a nice box like plate with half egg and chutney. The single green chili was hot, so dont eat it if you cant handle hot chili. The place is clean. There is plenty of free parking in the shared private lot. Service is good. The manager went around asking everyone if the food was OK. Cons: Not much meat compared to the amount of rice. We are definitely going back.

Tried this place through uber eats. My wife ate the rice...threw out the rest. I ate mine but only because I was starving. I ordered lamb Britain. To me it shouldnt be lamb on rice. It should be mixed togeather during the cooking process....then all the flavors mix...so each bite doesnt taste different. Oh and ive never had a samosa in a sauce....gross. Wont be back...sorry. You might like It...but I didnt

Very clean and modern decor. Simple menu, but food is quite tasty and vegetarian friendly. Food was a bit spicier than most Indian restaurants, but I liked it. Staff were very courteous and the service was great. Will come back for more.

First time, soon to be many! Brought here by my boss who is from India. Had the Butter chicken, chicken tikka masala and naan. Best part, checking out the authentic tandoori oven through the kitchen window!!
