Ate there for the first time when a friend told me how good it was. It was probably one of the best burgers I have ever had. Went back a week later to buy dinner for the entire family and got the exact opposite; some of the worst burgers Ive ever had in my life. They were dried out and over cooked beyond what any reason or common sense would dictate. I cant believe anyone would serve what was effectively charcoal briquettes on a bun and call it food. The onion rings were so chewy/rubbery I thought I had been given fried calmary by mistake. And Im still trying to figure out if the french fries were actually deep fried or just steamed into the soggy limp mass of potato strips I was given. While they obviously have potential based on my first visit, their inability to provide a consistent product and the absolute horrid quality I receive on my second visit, I would recommend that everyone stay as far away from this place as possible.

I was introduced to this little strip mall "Mexican food" when I moved to Simi 3 years ago. I was skeptical about a burger place and what their Mexican food would be like. It is amazing. I love it! I have actually never had a burger but their Enchiladas, burritos, fajitas, salads and FRIED ICE CREAM are all great! The service is on point every single time I come in. I heard theyre in the process of expanding and will be offering a late night beer and taco option in the future. Thats exciting! I also enjoy their other cafe on the other end of the center. It has great breakfast plates and yummy sandwiches. Keep it up Armando! =)

Came here for the first time today, my coworker informed me about Burger Express. I got to say this place didnt disappoint, I had their Compadres Enchilada plate. The food was definitely satisfying. Main plate soda and chips and salsa for under $10 you cannot go wrong with that. I will definitely be back to try some more items on their menu!

It was a good first impression. The cashier asked me if I wanted so ranch. And I said no thanks k you. But he insisted and mentioned its good and home made. I told him to throw one in the bag and Ill try it. Well I got home and tried it. Its THE BEST RANCH I have ever tried. He wasnt kidding when he said it was really good. Recommend it!!!!

I been here a couple of times @ lunch time & must say the food is not good( got a stomach problem after I ate there burrito). Second thing I didnt like was, Apollo School kids hanging around the place, spitting on floors & selling POT to other kids. I think our city & police should do something about this place!

My family and I enjoyed the food there and thats the reason why I gave them four stars but the restaurant itself was a little dirty especially the bathroom. I got the steak fajitas and they were delicious. The people working there were very nice and you can tell that customer service is their number one priority.

The best! The food is great and the service is always amazing! I have never picked something off the menu that I didnt like. My daughter loves to eat here as well, and we call in take out often. They are quick with orders, the prices are fair, and the enchiladas, tacos AND burgers... Amazing.

Found about this little Simi gem from some friends. It is now a favorite take out spot. They also expanded and it looks like their new expanded space would be great for families to eat in as well. Love the Chile Verde and get it extra spicy too! Also the Bbq chicken salad is fantastic.

The food is good for the price. The owner likes to insult me while I order. This confused me because I am always polite. At first I let it go, but he continued to be rude so we have stopped supporting Burger Express. All of his employees are very nice though.

This little hole in the wall restaurant is a real good place if you want some Mexican food. The owners are real friendly and everything on the menu is made fresh to order. I highly recommend trying their burgers and burritos because they are very tasty.

Something on the menu for everyone! My husbands favorite is the Arroz con Pollo with the Mexican relish on top to spice it up. I love the tortilla soup. My daughter is happy to get a hamburger and my son loves to put together a burrito to his liking.

This is a great little place. You dont even need a menu. Theyll literally cook anything you want if they have the ingredients. Great Mexican food despite the name.
