Remember going there a couple of days after they opened & I really enjoyed the Ramen I had & Ive been hooked with the place since. Im giving it 4 Stars, cause some very minor things have changed about their food, which is a bummer.. I always order BLACK Tonkotsu. Its my favorite no doubt. The broth is a bit heavier/thicker than the normal/usual broth youd get from other places which I like & it used to be heavier/thicker before & I liked it more. The Pork used to be very soft & would literally melt in your mouth, but thats not the case anymore, & it really bothers me that theyve changed the way they pre-pare the pork. Over all Ive tried many Ramen places, but Tamashii Ramen has been my favorite so far. The food [Ramen] is really good & tasty. Someone mentioned that the Ramen is Salty, but Ive been there many times & taken friends there & no one never mentioned that anything is salty. Also theres no cabbage in the Ramen. Thats Black Fungus. the texture is a bit like cabbage but its not & it tastes good with Ramen ; ] I have also tried their Curry Bowl & Spicy Tuna Bowl. Theyre good, but nothing to go crazy for. If I wanna have Curry Id go to an Indian Cuisine & for Raw Tuna Ill do Sushi XD Go their for the Ramen I suggest & if you wanna try other stuff go for it, but their Ramen is definitely a great food/dish to enjoy & itll fill you up. The atmosphere/decoration is very chill & simple. The service is great & the prices are very decent. Id recommend Tamashii Ramen House to anyone I know. Thanks for reading & hope the review helps ; ]

Food: All three of the Tonkotsu ramen offerings are great (try the Black Tonkotsu if you havent). The combo for 2 is an awesome deal and lots of food. I judge ramen places by the creaminess of broth, freshness of the ramen, softness/uniquness of the yolk and egg, and finally how buttery the meat is and how much it falls apart from the length of time its been cooked. Tamashii Ramen wins on all these counts. Up there on my top list of ramen places - and so glad its so close too! This one is better than the newly opened Tamashii in North Hollywood - each item in the ramen categories were not up to par, but definitely convenient if you live in North Hollywood. The Sherman Oaks one is just phenomenal in comparison. Atmosphere: Cozy, welcoming, and casual. We typically chill with friends there when we want to grab a quick bite. To go is great too. Service: Quick, energetic, there when you need them. Prices: Such great prices.

Ate the curry chicken dish for lunch. In a few hours had stomach cramps. Felt sick and didnt eat anything afterwards. Went to bed both shivering and sweating. Next day was trapped unable to leave the toilet for too long without fear of shitting myself. This place gave me food poisoning. If I dont like a dish or a restaurant, I never leave a bad review, I just dont eat there again. Food poisoning is an entirely different beast. It kills people. This place needs to be inspected because there is something wrong with the way they are handling food.

Tamashii Ramen is probably my second or third favorite ramen place in the Valley (Jinya, you have my loyalty), but the fact that I can even have that many favorite ramen places in the Valley is kind of astounding when you think about how things stood less than a decade ago. Tamashiis pork-based ramens are pretty great, even if they dont have quite the same fatty richness as some of my other favorites. Go for their Black Tonkotsu ramen, especially if youre a garlic head.

Small whole in the wall that used to be my favorite childhood gelato place (aromis cafe), I hesitated to try becuz of my love for aromis. But when I finally did, I was pleasantly surprised with the delicious tonkotsu black. The vege gyoza is also delicious. And definitely accompany it with a Tai ice tea. The servers are real sweet and already recognize me, which shows the relaxed and comfortable environment they have created that is tamashii.

I have fallen in love with Ramen and Tamashii in Sherman Oaks has not disappointed even once. Its just my all time favorite out of dozens of Ramen places in LA. I usually order the Fire Tonkotsu level 5-9 (depending on how much heat im looking for) and one day i will try the level 10. In my opinion, one of the best tasting Ramen shops around.

Dont ever come to this place. I was asked twice whether I ordered anything after I did; waiters and waitresses seemed friendly but barely got the job done. The appetizer tofu didnt come until I checked again with a waitress when i was almost done with my ramen. The fun part was that I had a plastic bag in my ramen, wow.

Wide variety of ramen with selections of spiciness. I fancy myself someone who can handle spiciness and the level 6 was enough for me to enjoy without being too spicy. The employees were very knowledgeable and confident with their suggestions based on my friends questions. I would definitely come here again.

Got the ramen and it was great! Best chicken ramen I ever tasted!! It just had so much flavor, better than most in little Tokyo that Ive tried. I will be coming here more often, maybe every Thursday. My friend had the sushi and she loved it as well!. Must come, get the spicy chicken ramen, mild. Its good!.

Tamashiis ramen is on point. The vegetables are always fresh. They accommodate gluten-free by exchanging rice for noodles. Youll need to ask about the sauces when you order, some have gluten, some dont. Im an addict for the Tokyo street curry with chicken.

One of my favorite Ramen shops...not always great on customer service. If you like the surly waitresses at Cantors, youll do fine here. This is one of their smaller shops and I often frequent their shop in Noho because its larger and there is rarely a wait.

The first ramen house Ive ever visited. It exceeded all of my expectations. I wish there was a location closer to where I lived. The Black Tonkotsu is a customer favorite which doesnt disappoint and the mochi is magnificent.

Good ramen and service. Marinated egg is important to me and it was well marinated. The spice level was perfect as well. I am someone who enjoys spice, but I dont want it to slow me down while I eat. That makes me sound bad.

Id *thought* that Id been eating good ramen at other restaurants, and then I tried Tamashii and it blew me away. The service can be a little slow at times, but its worth it for the ramen. My favorite is the Tonkotsu Shoyu.

Probably the best Ramen Ive ever had. I wish it were open 24 hours a day. Im sitting here sadly writing a review because I waited too late to order and now theyre closed and I cant get any Spicy Miso Ramen. Sad times.

A super value and a good, consistent offering. While the menu in this little hidden gem is limited, the dishes are yummy, somewhat unique, and very generous. I found the pork to be a bit too fatty for my taste.

This place is okay and I feel it is a little overpriced. I eat here if Im in the area and craving ramen. Otherwise there are much better spots if youre willing to drive to Sawtelle or Little Tokyo.
