Wow. I dont like ramen. It is too salty and tasteless for my taste. Ha. Does any of that make sense??? Probably not. Anyway, I went because I had to. Family members choice. However, I am so happy I ordered the buckwheat noodle. It was not the usual ramen and was absolutely delicious. That is the only type of thing I could order from a ramen place so was ecstatic they had this. The childrens meals were adorable, though I cannot vouch for their taste. They also had ice cream. Small-ish place with limited parking and there is construction going on out front so would almost miss this place unless intentionally going for it. But, they accommodated our large party as thank goodness they had not gotten busy yet. We had a short wait, but very short. Food we had was delicious and would say this is may be the only ramen type spot I would go for. Thanks LA, but NYC probably has something comparable... ; )

The service was good, but as my friend and I were waiting for our friend to arrive who ran late, we bought drinks and food and the restaurant wasnt that busy, but then the waitress informed us that we could no longer get ramen, and then said we "could get ramen, but we had to order at that exact moment." We were there late, but not even close to closing time, and we were rushed despite having been making small orders during the time we were there. Once my tonkotsu ramen arrived, it did not seem fresh or very hot, and the quality of the ramen was disappointing. As I was from out-of-town and love ramen, I had hoped to have a better experience at such a well-rated restaurant, but my experience was subpar.

AHH Jinya. How I love you. i know that youll always be there with the perfect bowl of ramen <3 environment: simple, clean and great! I especially love the "no ramen, no life poster" :D Staff: friendly, helpful, attentive. simple & to the point. Food: so i always get the black garlic ramen - extra spicy. and ask for extra garlic on the side (free). absolutely delicious!!!! so rich, hearty, and full of favors. Jinya is awesome. if youre looking for some deep flavored ramen in a chill setting - this is the place :)

I was craving authentic ramen, so went for a late lunch one day and ordered the Tonkotsu Spicy ramen. Its a large bowl and I was thoroughly enjoying it until I ate a piece of the pork chashu. It tasted a bit off but the broth and noodles were supreme, and I couldnt quite tell until I took a small bite of the second piece. The pork had definitely gone bad. It may have ruined it but I just picked it out and luckily didnt suffer any food poisoning later. Hope they check their meats before serving them though.

After reading a few reviews about how the soup is plain or bland I was curious. I just went and tried it. I thought the soup was great, the noodles had a great fresh texture. The soup was not over powering or over salty like a lot of the places (yamadaya). It was a clean flavor of good Japanese dashi-no msg, not too salty. I thought it was very well done. The only gripe was for $14, the bowl could be a tad bigger.

Awesome ramen with al dente noodles and creamy broth. We got the pork miso ramen and the spicy chicken ramen. Both tasted awesome. Loved the soup which tastes really comforting. Its one of the better ramens we had in the states. We got there early and didnt have to queue. However the queu built up after we left the place. So be sure to be theyre early to beat the crowd. It was value for money too!

The environment of the store is one of high energy, which is awesome, just felt like there was life happening. Im not one to explore food in this world but thought what the heck, I tried the vegie roll and to my surprise it was pretty delicious, definitely worth a visit, speed of service pretty quick and quite friendly, well done chaps, well done.

One of the best Ramens we had in the USA hands down, and we travel the world eating Ramens and testing them out. The broth was thick and tasty, the noodles were al dente and the pork literally melted in your mouth. Would give this place a 6-star review if possible. Simply amazing and will be back here on my next trip to LA! :)

I tried this because its my area. I dont like hakata (cloudy broth) ramen. This was no exception. The staff was vibrant and helpful. The ramen was disappointing. It has flavor, just not the flavor I really enjoy. Im more of a traditional shoyu (soy sauce) ramen guy. Kouraku in Little Tokyo is where its at for me.

Ramen as good as the best in Little Tokyo or Little Osaka in Mid-Wilshire? A resounding "yes!" Jinya has everything you want in standard ramen, and a creative edge to put it over the top. Hungry? Go there NOW. (Disadvantages? No beer or wine, and the potential for a long wait.))

Delicious!!!! Just try it. We did not know how to take a Ramen puts together, as it was our first time in such a restaurant. The waitress and wonderful advice and it tasted delicious. Especially after 2 weeks USA it was very nice to eat something lighter

Omg! We visited from Dallas, Texas and were staying at an AirBnb near this gem! Big bowls, endless options, and full of flavor! Best ramen Ive ever tasted and the tsukiyaki tofu was delicious! Totally gonna visit again before leaving!

I frequent this place because there is always parking, theres usually no wait, and the food is good! Some of the menu items that are worth trying: Cilantro Asian-Fusion Ramen, Crispy Rice w/ Spicy Tuna, Fried Brussel Sprouts.

I go to Jinya weekly. Most of the waitresses greet me by name & know what my order will be. .. Spicy Chicken Ramen Hot with thick noodles instead of thin. The service is fast & friendly & the ramen is 2nd to none!

Customer service was pretty good but the food just wasnt good. The noodles were weird and mushy, and the soup for the house special was too salty. Id only suggest this place if you value service over food.

I always get the spicy chicken ramen. The broth is incredible. The servers there are nice, too. If you go during dinner, there can be a crowd. Theres almost always a few people waiting outside.

Not a bad place to get your ramen fix but there are definitely better places outside of the Mid-wilshire area. Lunch time can get pretty crowded so plan ahead.

Gotta address this scewed average. Flew in from out of town and search the entire city for the highest rated Ramen. 4.8 stars and the ramen was not that good.

I had amazing service there last night. Well taken care of. I would recommend the experience and food there. Generous portions on the extra noodles.
