The Positives: Excellent service - absolute best. Asked many times if we needed anything, and requests were done promptly. The side dishes were reasonably priced (mostly), and good quantity. Pork chunks were home made and tasty. The Meh: Ramen dishes were smallish. Real Black tonkotsu (kuro tonkotsu) should have been thicker with a stronger touch of garlic. The Awful: NO parking to speak of - its on a busy street with many cars taking up all the parking meters. Also a very scuzzy area - lots of homeless and mentally ill derelicts wandering around the place. Not a good place to be, especially after sundown.

I got the spicy chicken ramen with black mushroom and soft boiled egg and vegetable Gyoza The Ramen broth is good, but not nearly spicy enough The other ramen ingredients were very disappointing. far too many noodles and far too few veg and chicken. Very cheeky, especially considering this set me back $25! If you eat here, I strongly advise adding a soft boiled egg. They do something to that egg to make it the most delicious egg in the world. I honestly dont have a clue what that is but it is glorious indeed.

From the top, the pork goyza were fried dark brown and hard. The ramen noodles themselves were definitely the generic low grade Sysco version. Shio broth was good. Asked for cabbage for ramen. Got a pile of long cut still attached too the big heart of the cabbage. Wtf was I supposed to do with that in a place with no plates knives or forks?! Asked for garlic, they no longer have it. And the bill? About $10 more then I normally spend for the same around L.A. give this place a miss unless youre desperate

Meh. Nice looking restaurant with nice outdoor seating. Mediocre food, terrible Thai iced tea. Grainy and bitter, not something that is easy to screw up. Everything that is not soup is a little spicy. Menu has lots of options but a little pricey. Polite service, but not for people looking for great food. If you are a local and want a decent bowl of noodles, Japanese style, with a nice environment to to get out of the house, this is for you. If you are looking for impressive food, look elsewhere.

Were ramen snobs (if there is such a thing) and this place met our high expectations :) I had the black garlic ramen, my daughter had the miso ramen, and my husband had the spicy ramen. He said it was the perfect level of spice (not so hot, it kills your sense of taste). Hefty portions; we didnt need to order anything else. Prices for ramen all above $11, but worth it. Friendly, attentive staff and quick service. We will return the next time were in the area~

Food was good, but the service was no where near good. Nothing but rush rush rush. We walk in and sit down and BAM "are u ready to order?" Comes. Wtf? We jsut got here. Calm ur horses people. Let us actually sit down and look at ur menus? Also, if a customer ask "whats good here?" Plz at least try and explain or mask ur bad day vibe. "There all good." Is very vague, and does not help me what is popular in this joint. Im ashamed to even leave any tip.

Im always down for good Tamashii ramen and this place is not too shabby in North Hollywood as competition can be fierce. They offer two sizes of Tamashii ramen, small and regular and they are both filling sizes. The chashu bowl is what I ordered and it comes with green onion, garlic, seaweed, corn and meat. The broth is extremely tasty and the flavor in the meat is definitely there. Service is good and there was a minimal wait time.

I find myself gravitating to this place when I dont bring lunch to work and need to get something that is budget-friendly. Im usually there with my buddies who work across the street from me, and we never seem to get enough of the spicy chicken ramen (medium; extra chicken). Staff is helpful and the place does not get overcrowded, plenty of seating. Parking will be tricky, but we walk there so its never been an issue for us.

All the delicious Ramen and Udon that your little soup sucker can handle! Add the Tokyo Curry Bowl to your soup order and youll be like "damn! that was some good curry bowl!" They also have some extra spicy soup selections and sushi to boot but I havent tried it all yet. Its like George Washington said after he founded America: "Man, Im glad to get THAT off my plate, now lets go get some ramen."

Good ramen. The chasu pork is really tasty. I think the ramen noodles could be a little better, but overall its ok. Friendly staff. Went back here November 16 and was disappointed about the tempura. It was not the light crispy batter but heavy mushy batter. Kinda disappointed in that. Maybe it was the cook but it seemed better before.

The ramen was delicious. Sushi was just ok, not my favorite. Our server seemed to be out of the picture for most of the time and we were mainly helped by another server who was fantastic. I hope they split tips there since I felt like she took care of us more than our actual server who was nowhere to be seen by the end of the meal.

Prices are somewhat high (ramen is all over $11) but you do get a little extra in portions and taste. If you want, extra noodles are $2 and they give you what seems like more than what came with your ramen in tbe first place. Docking one star because they give you the packaged, wooden cbopsticks instead of cleaned reusable ones.

Its... ok? The ramen noodles are very generic and not at all well made. The toppings are underwhelming as I had to pick my teeth of the boring beef fat that got coagulated every time I ate it. I feel like the service was much too slow to order and we took forever to pay even though it was nearly an empty restaurant.

I like their Combo- it comes with gyoza and ramen for two. It has been a tasty dinner every time Ive come here. They dont have a liquor license so they only sell non alcoholic drinks- their cold teas come in a large mug. The atmosphere is chill. Parking is difficult because NoHo is crazy busy during the weekend.

The service is great and the place has a nice outdoor area. I just wasnt crazy about the ramen. But Im a ramen snob, so my bar is higher than most reviewers in that regard. The noodles taste great and the broth is tasty, so if youre looking for a decent bowl of ramen then this is your best bet in the area.

Im not a ramen specialist. But Ive tried quiet few of them. And as my friend told me once you find a good Ramen its addictive. Here I am my 4th visit here. So far I like the Black Ramen they have( I know I didnt say the name right) but once you said Black they will know lol) Enjoy really tasty.

Im not a fan of ramen, so Im posting more on their non ramen options which unfortunately arent that great to me. Remember being really disappointed by sushi options. Spicy rice bowl is also dry and would probably be best served with some other sauce option (besides soy at the table)

Place was very busy, but was seated right away. Order taken within 5 minutes, but then waited about 25 minutes for the food to come out. Portion size was good, pork was a little on the salty side, noodles were a little thick. Overall food was ok for the $10-14 price tag/bowl.
