Very big disappointment. Ive been eating st K&L for years and always considered it one of the top choices in Northern Sonoma County. In past the service was warm and accommodating. Its now robotic cold and to a point rude. At their price point they should go out of their way to please the guests.i happen to have food allergies and intolerances. In the past the kitchen was more than gracious in eliminating certain ingredients or substituting one side for another due to my condition. Its no longer the case. I was told no substations allowed. However when I offered to pay extra the substitution became available. I ordered their onion soup and asked for the crouton to be omitted. Guess what? The soup arrived crouton and all. Im suspicious that it went back to the kitchen was removed and sent back. I will know tomorrow if Im unable to get out of bed. I WILL STRESS. IF YOU HAVE ANY FOOD ALLERGIES OR DIETARY RISTRICTIONS YOU WILL BE VERY DISAPPOINTED. If you want an accommodating restaurant that serves bistro food go to Table 29 in Santa Rosa. The treatment is completely the opposite. Im really sorry to have to write this review. I will miss the gracious and delicious restaurant that KL was and not too long ago. Im not sure if they still have their Michilin star. If they do it wont be for long.

We were pretty excited about trying one of our local restuarants in Sebastopol instead of heading over to Santa Rosa and they failed us. Sometimes we can look past an inattentive server if they are really working hard, but our server didnt have that many tables. For the first time ever I left a reduced tip with a note explaining why. We had to ask for bread, never asked if we wanted more drinks, not asked how our meals were, and also never received ketchup for our fries. Now for the food..... Salad was drenched in oil, Spicy seafood spaghetti was lacking a fair amount of seafood, and half of my mussels were undercooked(steamed). Several were borderline raw. Some mussels never opened up. All in all, not a very good experience and will not give them a second chance. Think twice about this place.

TERRIBLE1l We made reservations for a party of 6. we had out of town guest, and wanted to show them Sebastopol..About two hours before our scheduled reservations, the management call and canceled our reservations! WHAT? ;yes cancelled our reservations! l What kind of a restaurant is this? Is it run by larry curly and moe?k There excuse "mistakes" happen. I hope their cook has better guide lines. Try some our place, this one is not worth the effert.

I love this place! The food is always amazing, as is the service. I have the added difficulty of a lot of food issues (not the usual food allergies) and they are one of the most accommodating restaurants around. They tell me what I can safely pick off the menu and are always willing to make additional adjustments so I can have dinner with my husband. Definitely among the best in Sonoma County.

Food: ceasar salad very good, burratta was good but only half ofv the burratta. Mac & cheese nice and big portion. Chicken piccatta good but had ALOT of capers (too many?). Surprising they only had Pinot Gris by the glass. Dessert: creme brulee very nice. Choco &peanut butter torte NEEDS more peanut butter. Good wines Service: could not have been better!!!

The owners are unfriendly and snobs. They act like they are some superstar to be worshiped. The food is hit and miss and way over priced for its quality. Mac and cheese is amazing??? are you kidding me? For the perceived high-end atmosphere...all someone raved about is the macaroni and cheese!!! I rest my case.

One of our favorites here in Sebastopol ♡ The happy hours are the best in town, the staff are hands down always a treat. The food is absolutely on point always. And who doesnt love oysters???? 1.50 happy hour oysters!!!! We will take 2 dozen. Thank you guys so much for making this place a favorite ♡♡♡♡♡

Went for lunch based on the Michelin star rating. My wife had a Businessman special. My wife selected what was suposed to be Sea Bass. Maybe it was special because it was left over from the night before. It smelled and tasted very strong not indicative of fresh fish. The Michelin people should be slapped.

good food, extensive wine list. Some flaws in the service (took 20 mins to get a glass of wine) and food (crab shell in the crabcake), crème brulee on the dark side but the oysters and crab cakes were good. Overall a bit expensive but pleasant experience. Would recommend it.

They have excellent food, service, and atmosphere. They feel like a high end place with the atmospere they have and the flavors and presentation of the food, but the prices are great. If youre in the area, check out this gem.

A delightful place for lunch in Sebastopol. We had the carrot ginger soup, Caesar salad and lamb ragout, with a glass of Sequana Pinot. Service was excellent.
