Brew pubs are one of my favorite kind of eateries. You have food and a selection of fresh handcrafted beer, but make it phenomenal beer in addition to mouthwatering food: epic combination. Beachwood is a casual place with food to match - nothing fancy with settings or presentation, but the quality is elite. Whether pulled pork, beef variants or wild game - to the sides, everything Ive had is divine! The Beachwood brews are award winning - seriously. So while I respect my local brewery, theyre well recognized. Regular styles are represented year round and there are seasonals that rotate or come up on a set schedule. Watch in anticipation for your favorites (or the coveted releases) to resurface - and act quick! I must commend the Flux Capacitor distribution system for their beer. Its the most appropriate way to move brew from keg to glass and should be implemented in all beer bars, everywhere. It allows the staff to set the optimum gas mixture, pressure and temperature for the perfect taste as the beer was meant to be consumed. In addition to the great Beachwood beers, there are guest brews that are available (though change frequently). A lot of local CA beers are featured and sometimes for fundraisers or special celebrations, youll find some more elite releases. Happy Hour is from 3-6pm and includes reduced price brews and some good food options (such as 1/2 off sandwiches).

Oh how Ive been waiting for this location to open! It was as good as I was hoping itd be. Extra props to our wonderful waitress (whose name escapes me, alas) who was actually not going to say anything to us even though we almost only left her like a $1 tip due to our inept mathitude! We figured it out, thank goodness, and her great service was duly compensated. Anyway, all the stuff you love about their Seal Beach location is here (great food, great beer, friendly staff) and all the stuff you dont like is not here (crazy-small space, crazy-long wait). I shared their baby back rib plate with a friend, and it was more than enough for two smallish people. For the two sides we got the bleu cheese grits and the smoked asparagus--both outstanding, but not sure why they dont offer mac n cheese as a side, only an appetizer? Speaking of which, we ordered their steamed mussels in garlic broth to start, which was great, but it came with little pieces of toasted baguette and not fries, which was unexpected. I think I wouldve preferred fries, but oh well. But these are small quibbles in the overall picture of a lovely evening with friends. As always, a good selection of brews to be had, and now stuff from their own brewery. I tried their Belgian Style Single Ale - Uno, which was very good. Theyre working on a patio which should prove to be great once finished. I cant wait to go back!

I will definitely be going back. Family friendly casual environment. Good music. I heard a track off of In Rainbows by Thom Yorke as well as Joy Division. Had the smoked ham sandwich with brie, and it was decadent as expected. The fried green tomatoes were good. Not Johnny Rebs good but good. Not too much batter and the tomatoes were thick cut. The fried green tomatoes came with no sauce, which was needed as well as salt, so I asked for Buttermilk sauce (was ok). The wild mushroom stew with blue cheese grits is phenomenal. The prices are good for what you get. Definitely worthy of repeat visits to try everything on the menu

We recently moved to Seal Beach and this was the first restaurant we tried out. Im glad I did. The foods are so tasty. We went there as a group of 6 and order 6 different plates so we could try a variety. They all taste good. My favorite is Shrimp and Grits. The portion is huge, you can shared 1 meal among two small persons. The sweat potato fry are awesome, my kid loved them. Only one draw back is the wait. If you come there in the weekend for dinner, expect to wait for a good 45 mins to 1 hour. Just need to plan it smart, book your name, go a walk to the beach then come back.

If you can stand the wait, the food is worth it! They have boiled peanuts, which met the standards of my Floridian friend. The Bison Sloppy Joe was perfectly seasoned and the perfect texture- not too tough, nor too sloppy. Most of all the black currant cider was my favorite. Ive never gotten so tipsy off one glass of cider before! The bathrooms are clean, the staff was friendly and attentive, and the noise level was not too loud for a conversation with my group of friends. I would recommend this place for those visiting the Seal Beach area.

Lextension de la brasserie de Long Beach avec une bonne sélection de bières en fût. Leurs bières maisons sont beaucoup moins nombreuses ici par contre. Cest petit et convivial. Pour la bouffe, jai pas été impressionné par lassiette de brisket.

This is a great place. The service was good, the food was great, and they have a very wide variety of craft beer. It is located well, on main street in Seal Beach and it is a short walk from the pier and the beach. The brisket sandwich was excellent as was the ham sandwich. We would also definetely recommend the blue cheese grits as a side. This is not a very large restaurant and it could get very busy, we went at an off-time and had no trouble with a crowd.

Excellent BBQ - great appetizers - the mac and cheese is a must have. Baby backs were great; combo platter is a great option for the big appetite. The sausage is spicy but yummy. Brisket is some of the best weve ever tasted. Service was top notch - friendly and knowledgeable on the menu and the extensive beer menu. Cozy but worth the wait. No reservations but call-ahead list helps get you in sooner. If you are anywhere in the LB or HB area - GO!!!

I really wanted to try their food but never got the chance. Bar staff were being total jerks toward a group of us especially toward one of my friends that was just sitting by the window not saying or doing anything. We only had one beer and all decided to leave. When we got outside the woman working the bar went to the door which had been propped open and slammed it shut. No idea what is going on here.

Beachwood BBQ Seal Beach The baby back ribs were disgusting, unless you like tons of salt. They were dried out and flavorless. Though we sampled three different types of beer, and ordered one of them, the beer that was brought was not the right one. All and all, this was one of the worst meals my wife and I had ever attempted to eat. We only took a few bites and left. Ugh!!!! Caveat emptor.

You cant go wrong. The food is excellent here. You should start off with either BBQ Chicken Nachos or the Fried Green Tomato Salad. Then, you should have the Brisket plate with Corn on the Cob & Sweet Potato Fries (the best!). The Baby Back Ribs are also good. Your plate will come with Cornbread & Honey butter, which is really good. And, they have a good beer & wine selection.

The beer is good. But one star for the food. I had a Sloppy Joe and there was hardly any meat on it. We were tell it was because the buns are overside. Yep it must be the oversize buns somewhere in between the hamburger buns and the slider buns. But should it even matter the size of the buns. It is called a "sloppy Joe" it should be sloppy and overflowing with sauce and meat.
