I used to love this place but recently it had gone downhill. The food, as good as it is, isnt what it used to be. But to me the main problem is the staff. While there are some good ones, most just stand around and talk, loudly I might add. No matter what time Ive gone there, they have always seemed to be easy overstaffed. Resulting in the girls upfront either chatting away or like on my last experience on her phone watching a video. They really need to figure out the scheduling or give them more to do so they arent standing around chatting and giving the code they have nothing to do. And fix the food fast cause right now all I go in for is the beef barley soup. That wont keep me coming in for long. 12+ years coming here and Im about done.

I have been going to Chris & Pitts for over 20 years. When the one in Anaheim closed down, I missed it terribly. Good thing there is a few others open in Bellflower, Downey, and Whittier. The Bellflower one is the closest to me and after not having Chris & Pitts for a couple years, it was like reliving my childhood. The food has not changed, still excellent. If you want great food, big portions, and low prices. You cant do better than Chris & Pitts.

This is one of my favorite places to go when I feel like a blast from the past. It is so small and dingy inside and the servers are snarky in a fun way. The food is so good and gross at the same time and when you leave youre not sure if you want to puke so you can go back for more or crawl in a hole because your heart is about to explode from cholesterol. Either way its a good time. Love to hate this place.

Chris & Pitts is not bad. But the hype brought me here today and it was not the best bar-B-que that I have tried - not even close. Maybe I am spoiled, but in Austin-TX, the bar-B-que scene is way ahead of most Los Angeles places that compete in this category. Heck - - even the Wood Ranch grills are better than my one experience at Chris & Pitts and I would would rate Wood Rance as a 4-star.

i used to work here for over 2 years. i know how the employees are. unproffesional and unsanitary . they laugh talk and cuss right infront of you.!!! theres cocaroaches and some of the cooks are very unclean ILLEGALS !!! majority of the employees do some kind of drugs. i would not recommend this place. the food isnt even the same from when i was younger. very dry and too expensive

You never leave hungry! The food is great and the portions are large. It is old school bbq and my family has been going here for years. There are 2 reasons it doesnt get five stars. The first is the decor looks as old as the restaurant. Also, they have very limited parking. Most of the time we either end up parking on the street or in the lot across the street and walking over.

I love the food, but the parking is really, really bad. If you get into their tiny (should be one way) parking lot its a trial trying to get out. Otherwise, you have to park on the other side of Artesia walk up to the signal, cross the street and then walk down the street to the restaurant. Its enough to keep me from going there. The neighborhood is seedy.

Yes been coming to this very spot since i was a lil guy in 1978. And keep it in the family tradition as much as I can. Even made the 86 mile (oneway trip) to take my momma for rib dinner on Mothers Day.That is how much we LOVE THIS place! Lucilles or any other, dont even compare! Enjoy & be blessed by the mess on your fingers & face :)

My favorite restaurant to eat in downtown Bellflower. The ribs are amazing: juicy, tasty, and delicious. Can get pretty busy on Friday and Saturday nights. Get to early if you dont want to wait but even if you have to, its worth it. The servers are friendly and welcoming. Just another example of a great family owned local place.

Food is always what it has been for the last 30 years Ive been coming here, absolutely delicious!!! (I was a young child when we started coming) and some things have not changed.) The wait staff is grumpy as if you stopped by their house. Without calling . I cant make it too often but when I do, it is ALWAYS worth the drive.

I have been to Chris and Pitts a few times with family and friends. They are also really good with take out orders! My family orders the deluxe order for 2 usually and it feeds us all a family of 4 even though its suggested for two. I also like to dine in, the staff has always been great at answering questions about the menu.

By daughter and went there for dinner. My husband and i went their for years. He passed away two years ago on aug 12. So she took me to dinner. The food was great as always. And the waitress made us feel so welcome. She had gramps favorite queen size prime rib. We ate everthing. Would highly recommend.

Very good bbq! Been going to Chris & Pitts for 30 years. Have friends and family that live out of town and always make it a point to stop by before they head home. Very laid back and casual atmosphere. They make all of their own dressings, and bbq sauce.

Ive been coming here since I was a kid and it is probably my favorite bbq food to date. Portions are large, staff is friendly, but the only things I would complain about is the parking. Usually hard to find on a busy day.

Still my favorite BBQ joint in so cal. Love the beans and garlic bread. Every server has been there over 15 years. Only knock is their prices are a bit steep for the location and ambience. But still great.

Still love it. Been coming here since I was a kid. Spare rib dinner with blue cheese on the salad or home made beef and barley soup for the side. Dinner also includes, beans, steak fries, and garlic bread.
