3 stars because it wasnt great, but wasnt terrible. I went with my cousin & her daughter - we ordered a chicken tenders kids meal, a grilled tri tip meal peppered with gorgonzola butter & a meal with lemon garlic grilled 1/4 chicken & bbq tri tip. My cousin ordered her tri tip well done. It came out more to the medium side. We let the server know & he apologized & took it right back with no questions. A major plus...? They didnt slap the same meat on the grill & bring it back out - they prepared a whole new piece of meat. My tri tip was over done. More medium-well than medium, but I didnt send it back. It was still pretty good. I like that the bbq sauce is kind of tangy and not overly sweet. I ordered white meat chicken & I found it a little dry, but I think that could be fixed with maybe a little garlic lemon sauce to go with it. The skin had a nice char, but also was kind of fatty, so I didnt eat much of it. I think my main "issue" with this place is their lack of side dishes. Basically, they have garlic mashed potatoes. I think I saw some kind of baked beans & grilled vegetables, but I think there is some opportunity here. The place is kind of self serve...you order at the counter, then you get tour own drinks, plates, napkins, silverware. Someone brings the food to your table, but thats k8nd of where service ends. It would be nice if someone just checked in once or twice after you get your food. I will go back to give this place another shot - to try the bbq chicken & the tri tip with gorgonzola butter, but not sure it will ever make my list of favorite places to go.

This restaurant was uber packed when I cam here for my friends birthday party on a Saturday night. It didnt help that there were 24+ of us. But once we ordered our food, paid, and sat down, (in that order), I took a good look around, and realized these people really love their barbecue. I kept getting an image of John Witherspoon in that Friday movie saying "Ba-ba-ba-ba barbecue!" Seriously, its everywhere you look. With good reason. My friends decided I needed the full experience, and ordered us an entire chicken; half lemon & garlic, and half barbecue, as well as an entire rack of ribs. At first I thought it should be illegal to have that much at one time, but once it hit me that I polished off most of the chicken and half a salad by myself, I understood why this place was so obnoxiously packed. These people really know theyre barbecue. It might be the best Ive had. Perfect balance of everything; taste, juiciness, portions, you name it. Its a great place to celebrate a special occasion, as theyre very accommodating with their tables, large portions, and friendly service. The only downside is that they dont take reservations, so you might be standing there for a while waiting to be seated, regardless of how many of you there are. Ever been to IHOP for breakfast? This is worse. But still, definitely worth it. Come hungry. Youll be needing all the room you can get.

Great American restaurant with family style portions. You order at the counter, are given a table tracker, and seat yourself at a table. Utensils, drinks, plates, and to-go boxes are self-serve. Food is brought out to your table by friendly staff. Bussing is also handled by the same staff. The tri-tip is a must have item. Followed closely by the salmon and chicken. Even with the brining, the chicken can be a little dry from the roasting so I prefer the salmon. Our group of three usually gets the Stimulus Package which comes with a basket of breadsticks, a large bowl of salad, a small pizza, and choice of meat. We always end up with leftover salad and bread sticks which we pack to go. Great for groups but make sure to reserve a section on the patio if you plan to bring a group of 10 or more.

It was my first time at Stone Fire Grill and I had no idea what it was until I got there. I was surprised that we order our food first before entering the restaurant and taking a seat. We didnt know what to order since we had a group of 6 people that were really hungry at 9pm! So, we ordered the family meal with a full chicken, full slab of ribs, one huge pizza, a huge salad, and break sticks. They menu is huge! I think this is a great place for big parties because the portions are endless. The service was pretty awesome but everything is pretty much self serve from getting your own drink to getting your own dinnerwares.

Been to this place and it is on FIRE!! I love it, especially the tri-tip. The portions are decent size for the price and it is a family style restaurant..so don’t over order unless you want to take some home for leftovers like us. Tomesto pasta and Cesar Salad is a favorite that we order each time, along with garlic bread. Make sure to come early since it does get quite busy. You order up front, find your own place to sit, get your own dinnerware, and pack leftover yourself. I do commend the superb customer services we got each time we came here. Remember, eat and then go buy more snacks at Trader Joes which is next door.

Prices are a bit high for the environment and quality of flatware and dishes. I had the tri-tip and ordered medium rare and got medium. It was good but I would have preferred it to be as I ordered. I ate it because our planet is in enough trouble that Im not comfortable wasting food. Ill just know next time. The potatoes were standard steakhouse fare. Nothing spectacular and a bit crunchy at the edges. They did bring real butter when I asked for some. Ill try it again someday.

A quaint restaurant serving delicious foods. You can choose the dish size that suits you and your guests. Single size servings or family size servings. The prices are moderate but you get a lot of bang for the buck. The staff were extremely helpful and answered all questions clearly. The service was quick. The restaurant and tables area and quite clean. Seating choices of indoor or outdoor. I had a wonderful experience here as did my guests.

I generally love this place for their portions, the taste, and the convenience. I love that you pay up front and order your meal right away. You find your own seats and get your own stuff and you leave when youre ready. No need to wait for the waiter to take your order or bring you refills or bring the bill. Easy to split bills since you pay individually up front. As in the picture, the family portion with two sides were well worth it and very filling.

This has quickly risen to the top of the "band for the buck" stack. Its comfy and service is good, though--and I mean this in the best possible way--it certainly has the Southwest vibe of a New Mexico Indian Casino restaurant. Its a little bit of Albuquerque in Pasadena, but without the chile rellenos or Hatch green. In any case, the steak is tasty, the pizza plentiful and even the small salads are more than enough for two.
