Bland, bland, bland. I have never had to salt mexican food before, and I actually reached for the salt shaker a few times. I had the tamale and chile relleno combo. The tamale was dense and flavorless, and the sauce over tasted from a can. The chile relleno had thick, soggy breading, and tasted of the freezer. It was also filled with seeds, and my tongue is still on strike. My husband had the tostada combo, and the chicken was bland and chewy. The salsa for the chips looked and tasted like a glorified Pace Picante. The one good thing I can say about this experience is, the service was outstanding.

I enjoyed the food, atmosphere and service. The decor is laid back and not frilly, the hostesses were dressed in authenticate clothing, and the service was impeccable. We had water and chips and salsa on our table within seconds of sitting down. My boyfriend and I split the chicken enchillada (good, they use a LOT of chicken), then he got the nachos supreme and I got the fajitas. The food was good, I was comfortable with the quaint atmosphere, and again, the service was AWESOME! We spent $40 on two meals with beverages and an appetizer. The salsa was excellent, spicy with good texture.

I just moved around the corner and decided to try this place. I was hoping to find a new local Mexican restaurant to frequent. The only positive thing I can say about this place is it feels genuinely like being in Tijuana. The chips were ok, but super greasy. The food was horrible, my order was wrong, the glass they gave me for my beer was filthy with food stuck all over it, the restaurant itself is filthy. But at least the service was rediculously bad. Oh and the cucaracha that showed up on the booth right next to me was what made me run for the door. YUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was staying on a business trip at a hotel close to the Restaurant and the food options in walking distance to the hotel are very limited. From the outside, you wouldnt stop, but it had decent reviews so opted to try it out. What a surprise....food was great, decor makes it feel very comfortable and the service was fantastic (I sat at the bar, so I am not sure if that makes a difference), and to top it off it was very reasonably priced. I would recommend giving this "mom & pop" place a try if you happen to be in the area and are looking for a little Tex/Mex.

I ordered the $14 shrimp burrito... it had 8 shrimp In it, I got half way through it and I had only bitten into 2 shrimp. Its besically an bean cheese and rice burrito, oh yeah and the be and and rice are on opposite ends of the burrito. My girlfriend had the shredded beef wet burrito. It was cold in the middle and hit on the outside... Can you say microwave! Honestly if your enjoy good authentic Mexican food dont come to this place. I spend $59 on 2 burritos and 4 beers on something that taste like I bought at the supermarket in the frozen aisle.

This place was a huge disappointment. Food was extremely bland. Beef was so tough it was barely chewable. Store-bought tortillas (and not good ones). Slow service. I got the combo fajitas (shrimp and beef). My companion got the shrimp fajitas -- same price as the combo fajitas. He got ONE more shrimp than I did. So be aware, if you order the shrimp, you are going to be getting a VERY skimpy portion and will walk away hungry. The one highlight was that the bartender did an excellent job with the drinks. We wont be back.

So this is the third time i have been here and it is getting much better. I wasnt fan of the salsa but im a sissy when it comes to that. But the rest was great. I had the shredded beef enchiladas and i was thoroughly satsified wirh everything. It has been poor food and service before but they have taken noticed. The server had my drink filled at the half mark every time and was good with checking in. I am now excited to come back again.

Just a mile from our office we eat here frequently. 4 out of 5 times the food is very good and above average, on occasion theyll throw in an average dish. Service is adequate, atmosphere unique, but overall their tasty dishes keep us going back. Get the red sauce over the burritos, not the green and stick to the basics when ordering. Also, the water has a bit of an aftertaste so order bottled or something else.

Ate at the bar. Service was great. Bartender mentioned she had been there for 1.5 years. She clearly enjoys her job and expertly adds to the atmosphere with a little style. She has a strong grasp of mixed drinks as her specials are included on the happy hour menu. Atmosphere was comforting and food was decent texmex. This is definitely a great place for the traveler and regular alike.

Carnitas were good. Service was just okay, with our waiter being a bit difficult to understand. High chairs for our babies were very old metal contraptions with a belt that did not work to keep our children in the chair. Prices are very reasonable. Salsa was very spicy. Seems to be a business-persons dining establishment. Felt a little out of place with the family there.

I dont know how anyone can say this is above 3 stars. Positive: good beans and rice, decent fish taco, spicy salsa, nice atmostphere. Negative: very bad guacamole, flavorless chile relleno, bland salsa (despite spicyness), and a little high priced. I would not return nor would I recommend anyone going there. Wahoos, Rubios or any local Mexican food shop is bound to be better.

Im from New Jersey and was staying in a hotel near by in Santa Ana. It was close so we went for dinner. Waitress was really nice and attentive. Food was fresh n delicious. Due to the ratings I was a little weary but I said what the hell Im going to give it a try. Had the best experience and had a good time clean and friendly would recommend to friends and family

First time I went to the Little Onion, I had great service and food was outstanding. Second time around the service was horrible and the food was a little overcooked and the rice was dry. Would give it 5 stars if my experience wasnt 50/50 hopefully next time I have better service apon my return.

For most steak houses, its all about the quality of the beef. When you combine that with a top notch chef, you get Mastros. Always reliable. Done before theater meals, business meals, and the office Christmas party. They have some innovative drinks. Dont miss the bananas foster martini.

The food was good. The ONLY problem was the waitress got my order wrong (EVERY ONE at the table heard me ask for no sourcream) & when I asked her to fix it she told me I didnt tell her I didnt want it. Other than that, it was a quaint little place to eat & the food was good!
