Small dining establishment on First street serving traditional Mexican faire. Competitively priced food for comparable places. The space is welcoming. However, once I entered I did not know if I should seat myself to have menus brought out or order at the counter. Since no one greeted us, I went directly to the counter and spotting some menus, I asked if I could take them. From this exchange I gathered that we seating is first come and menus were to be brought out. Considering that there were only two other parties all individuals dining at the time, the service was pretty slow. The waitress was not rude but a bit indifferent and she seemed to be more preoccupied with something in the back than attending to the diners. As for the food, it was pretty descent. My dining partner had the menudo, which she said was really good and well price at $5.99. I had a shrimp dish at $9.99 which was OK. I would however, give this place another try; perhaps by then service will be efficient.

Mi primera vez en el restaurante fue mala mal servicio la comida tardan mucho y solo éramos mi esposo mis hijos y yo, la cajera muy jetona no fue amable muy mal servicio la comida está bien pero si fuera otra vez lo pensaría para ir y no lo recomendaría a nadie ni te atienden bien y ni te preguntan si necesitas algo mas me gustaría hablar con el dueño.

It is the worst restaurant that I have even eat. I found a roach in my food and a saw a rat running around. When I mentioned it to the cashier she was rude and disrespectful. She did not want to change the plate saying that it was not. Roach and when I pulled out my phone to take a picture she removed the plate emidiately and made me drop my phone. I asked for the manager and she said that the manager was not their. The worst service ever.

Sadly today was not their best. Bought a burrito. It was more like a bean and rice burrito. No meat at all. Please be more generous i paid 8.99 for it. Sad so sad.. I could of made it at home. And saved that money. Not going back again. Sorry just a very big disappointment. And i been recommending people to go their and i talked so highly about the place. Lost a loyal customer.

Horrible service, waited 55 mins to find out our order was not even placed yet. If you dont like being paid to serve food then dont work there. Both waitresses have real bad attitude and the fugly blonde one does not know what she is doing. Food is good but never again will i go here untill they hire people that want to get paid for what they do.

Visited this place and the food was so authentic and delicious...My friend and I had the House Molcajete (with several different meats), it was more than enough for the two of us plus some left over to take home...In addition, they serve hand-made tortillas which I loved...and the Agua de Horchata was to die for.... YOU MUST COME AND TRY IT OUT

Very very good traditional mexican. Made to order. Everything fresh. Good prices. Would give it a 5 star but at times certain waitress has attitude. But i dont let that stop me from a delicious meal. Cute and cozy. On 1st street. One block east of indiana ave [train station]. Boyle heights.

Ok food bad service, they need better greeting customer service. Some ppl are just not good at been waitresses. Dont go when u are starving they take over 30 min to serve the food . Good thing is food is freshly made. But this restaurant will certainly pushed your patience to your limit
