Horrible dining experience and will never return. We were a party of 12 for a birthday celebration with reservations at 7:00 in the courtyard. We arrive and there is nothing set up for us, but no real issue since we put some table together ourselves. The issue was with the service, or the lack of it. It was not a busy night. We were one of three parties outside and it didnt appear crowded inside either. Drinks took an average of 45 minutes. Ordering dinner was 90 minutes. No birthday was ever mentioned and we were literally left in the dark at dusk since our server was nowhere to be seen and the lights were not turned on outside. I called to speak to a manager today and surprise....the phone is not being answered and their voice mail is full. Good Luck.

Fast service, Great Food. While we were there, a little boy accidentally knocked a plate off the table. It hit the floor and broke. A staff member cleaned it up within seconds, and made sure everyone was okay. Then he went on to refill the drinks for every single person in the restaurant (20+ drinks, at least), with a smile, for the THIRD time since we walked in 20 minutes before. I wish I had that guys energy!

I have a hard time truly loving this place. The ritas are great! The ambiance is very friendly and comfortable. Nice staff. Looks like a fun hangout on a summer evening. But I find the food to be incredibly bland. I may give it another try and ask them to spice it up for me, but be forewarned if you like spicy food.....it aint on the menu that Ive tried so far.

I have been coming here for several years now and its always great! Everything I have orders is delicious! It is my go to place for Mexican food! In my opinion when trying a new place if the salsa is bad it wont get any better. Here it starts off great and continues! From Rellenos to Sunday Brunch its the best Ive had in San Jose! Anddddd The Cadillac margaritas are off the hook!

We eat here often, its some of the best Mexican food in San Jose for sure. The margaritas are great too. They have a lot of tables inside and out. Theres a huge outdoor area with shade. Some of the staff are more friendly than others but if the food is great it really doesnt bother me. I recommend the table side guacamole, soooooo good!!!!!!

El Amigo has good food but you have to wait a long time to be seated even if its not that busy, Once they dropped me and my familys food when they brought it out of the kitchen they charged us for it plus they charged us for the new food they brought out.

That was the best Mexican Ive ever had! the service was wonderful... And weve been to lots of places on our road trip this time! We both felt like it was worth every penny. only wish we lived closer to get it again. :)

The place is nice for a casually romantic spot. I had the combo appetizer and fried avocado. Not a fan of the avocado, but it was worth a try. Service was good ... cant complain.

All you can eat Mexican buffet Sunday brunch is fantastic! Hand made tortillas and made to order omelets. Micheladas are delicious!
