The tacos that i think are TO DIE FOR are here - the ginger miso chicken tacos are a slice of heaven. They come on the tiny little doubled up corn tortillas, and have some slaw, a sprinkle of sesame seeds, the chicken, some slices of their wonderful pickled jalapenos, and their not-so-secret weapon: NUNYA SAUCE. The combination of sweet and salty and spicy and creamy and crunchy and tangy is like no other combination my mouth has ever experienced. This location of Marination is great because it has a full bar where you can order a beer, wine, or a cocktail and watch the seattle skyline from your seat. Today when we went there they had also opened up an outdoor patio bar area, and they had a bar set up outside - a nice way to skip the lines of the indoor bar (but they have a limited bar menu outside.) We tried their lychee margaritas and man those were tasty! They had the glass rims salted with a salt that was red/pinkish in colour - when i inquired as to what it was the bartender showed me a small packet of chinese plum powder which is salty and a bit sweet. I had been introduced to the plums which the powder is from back when i worked for Toshi (of Toshis Teriyaki fame) in the 80s - they are dried plums (with the pit still intact) that have a little bit of sugar and a bunch of salt absorbed into their dry flesh. the plum sugar/salt worked so well with the lychee margarita it really made the moment into a perfect summer day scene. If you have enough fundage to cover it, go ahead and get yourself a jar of NUNYA SAUCE to take home - it tastes good on ANYTHING.

Super delicious lunch spot. Made even better thanks to the great view of the Seattle skyline across the water. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating (and according to some signs, they do private events), both of which offer that same view of the city. Parking was easy to find, both street and lot available. We just happened to find a spot at a free 2 hour lot just down the street. You order at the registers and then pick up your food once it is ready. The food was excellent. My husband and I decided to split: Pork katsu sandwich--hands down my favorite. Im not really a pork person, but this sandwich was amazing, especially the sauce. It is also quite large and depending on your hunger level, you could get away with bringing half home as leftovers. Fish tacos--very fresh and equally great. Sauce was also tasty. Pork slider--this was good, but probably the one item I could have just nixed. The meat was a little on the dry side, perhaps it needed more sauce. Fries--huge portion, not greasy, on the soft side of the fry spectrum Would definitely recommend for the food and the view. Price was on point. Service could have been a little friendlier, but I guess you cant have it all!

Not sure how the "Korean" made it into the Hawaiian theme at this restaurant, but it works! Perhaps it was the fact that the menu displays "Korean-like" dishes (i.e. Kimchee, bulgogi, kalbi). I heard great things about this place and before I even glanced at the reviews on Yelp, I dove in. We stopped here after the Mariners game, caught the King County Water Taxi from Seattle, and talk about convenience! Literally, the first attraction you come to...well, there is Alki Kayak Tours, but for food, the first. The line was insanely long but we moved through it fairly quickly. I think at most we waited in line for about 10 minutes. We ordered a bunch of stuff from the menu: tacos (fish, bulgogi, chicken), loco moco, slaw, and something with spam, dry-seaweed and rice wrapped up together. We split the entire tray(s) between the four of us and we actually felt pretty stuffed. Each of us got a sample of each, but when youre sampling, your stomach fills up fast. All-in-all, I loved the experience there. Oh and the draft beers are pretty decent! 7seas amber ale is my favorite. The Special import wasnt too bad either...just extra bitter. Ill be back Ma Kai!

Have been eating here regularly for five years. Today- sad face time. 19May, 1250-2:00pm One indifferent bartender who chit-chatted, took food orders, and generally didnt do the posted job. 18 people in line at the bar--I waited 27 minutes patiently and then the barkeep took a multiple food and drink order and answered questions of some clown thru the outside window who arrived sixteen minutes after I did. Simple etiquette was missing. I dont know if you all lost some employees or what---the kitchen was hopping and on it as usual, but the normal two-bartender hustle was down-graded to one person without the situational awareness to cover the mission. Recommendation- go back to two MOTIVATED barkeeps, and only take drink orders at the bar---to order food the folks can stand in the food line like we do. Love the place, today was a poor show. I enjoyed the sliders as always---and had the good fortune to have the sun keep the food warm as I waited in the endless line for beverages.

Tried couple of items on the menu. Kimch fried rice was very disappointed. It LOOKS LIKE kimch fried rice, but taste-wise NOT even close to actual kimch fried rice. Kalbi taco was okay. Tortillas that they are using for taco was minus. It kills all good taste inside. Kimch quesadilla was okay because they DONT put lot of kimch in it. Overall anything that kimch related menu, strongly NOT recomended. First of all, They need to use better Kimch. Second, I think theyve never tasted real kimch fried rice or fried kimch at all. I doubt they know how to cook kimch. If they say it is Hawaiian style then good luck with that. That is horrible excuse. If they really pursue real Korean kimch fried rice on their menu, I strongly recommend them to taste actual kimch fried rice or stir-fried kimch once. They can feel how bad their kimch related menus are. Other than that, hawaiian menus especially sliders are good though. They should just focus on hawaiian menu......

Bottom line first: Hawaiian-Korean fusion coastal cuisine set on the waterfront in West Seattle overlooking the city. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I was very impressed by this food truck turned destination location in West Seattle. The restaurant is large, and set aside the waterfront overlooking Seattle. There is counter service for food at one bar; and alcohol service at another. There is outdoor and indoor seating available. Seating is on a first-come, first-serve basis. The food is phenomenal. Hawaiian dishes, Korean dishes, and those blended together fill this wonderful menu. We tried the fish tacos, the ginger chicken tacos, and the pork sliders. Everything was great, but we particularly liked the pork sliders. We also tried the "Aloha fries," which were on special that day. Everything was delicious, and we will definitely be back to try more menu items. And also to enjoy the great view this restaurant has to offer!

Ive been wanting to try fusion cuisine for awhile and decided to eat here with my family since it was the best rated place. Got my food around one and a half hours after I initially got in line to order. Wife puts estimate closer to two hours. The lady at the pickup window spent more time answering "How much longer?" from customers than she did actually giving out food. The food was actually good, but to be honest, not worth that long of a wait. I ordered 6 beef tacos, 4 spicy pork tacos, 2 spam sliders, and 2 drinks. They got the sliders wrong and gave me pork instead of Spam, but there was no way I was going to wait who-knows-how-long for them to fix it. For the 10 tacos, 2 sliders and 2 drinks, the total was $43 and some change, plus a $5 tip I now regret giving. Like I said, the food was okay, but my rating is of my visit in general. For tacos in Seattle, you could do better.
