I visited the Sutter Street Pub whilst in San Francisco on holiday from the UK. I come fairly regularly and I found the food and drink exceptionally good. Sadly the only let down was the bar staff who had the cheek to assume that we didnt want change after handing over 25% more that the actual bill (cheque) Now, it was my intention to leave the money as a tip, but the staff shouldnt just assume, especially as they were the only week link in the business! Lovely bar which I would highly recommend which was only let down by the staff who clearly thought would decide if they deserve a tip rather than the customer. If it wasnt for the greedy staff, I would give it 5 stars....

As an Englishman, this is not really like an English pub at all; other than the fact they serve alcohol and food. The food (steak and mash) was nothing amazing but was cooked well and was just what I wanted at the time (home cooked food). The beer is a little on the pricey side but its a good place to come for something simple to eat and a couple of pints. The staff were friendly, and helpful although perhaps a little over stretched. The pub (bar) is fairly small but has a nice cosy atmosphere. Id like to come here on a rainy day.

Sorry to say this was not a great place. We managed to get our group of 6 seated, which was thanks to the help of the staff, but after that- downhill. We watched while others got drinks who had ordered after us, my sandwich had some unidentifiable "plastic" web on it, the mashed potatoes were tepid at best. Food came out haphazardly. One bright note was the london broil and waldorf salad.

The jalapeno burger is pretty awesome and they have a small but nice selection of beer. Nothing super special but is a great place to go to if you want that good burger and cold beer. The service is really good. The two workers I dont know their names but they are waitresses, always are really friendly and make sure I am taking care of.

This place is amazing! Their breakfast was out of this world! I had the eggs benedict, and everything was so fresh! The hollandaise sauce was creamy and buttery. My boyfriend got the corned beef, which has always been his favorite, and him being a chef said it was the best he has ever had!!! Id give it 10 stars if I could!!!

I placed an order through grubhub and my good never arrived. I called and spoke to the manager to complain and she was incredibly rude to me. She swore at me and said she "doesnt have time to deal with @$#* like me and she refused to replace or refund the owner. Unbelievably unprofessional, and I am sad, broke and hungry.

Went for dinner and found this place to be a nice, cozy, quiet pub. The staff was very friendly and the food was over the top. Reasonably priced and had a great selection of wine and beer, but no spirits other than a Korean rice liquor, similar to sake. I highly recommend this place to anyone who likes brew pubs.

This was a nice surprise in SF! Good selection of pub foods, we had the fish and chips with some of the best malt vinegar weve tried, the salt and pepper calamari was fresh and crisp and not oily, and the Shepards pie. Try one of the layered ales for a good accompaniment.

Best Pub experience to date!! Atmosphere is perfect.. Experience is second to none. Corned Beef Hash is on point!! Killer wings!! Great service!! Amazing experience from start to finish!! Made my visit to San Francisco unforgettable.. I will return again!!!

We loved this place when we visited last October. The staff are so friendly and helpful we came back a few times. Food was good and very well priced. Loved this place and would definitely recommend. Loved watching the baseball here too. Great atmosphere

Nice cozy place to hunker down for a pint and some hardy food. The servers are super friendly. The selection of beer is nothing fancy but will hit the spot. Same with the food. A great place to relax before heading to the Marines Memorial for a show.

I had the Sheperds Pie and a few beers. The pie was pretty greasy, lots and lots of meat, and sat the wrong way afterward. Nothing too special about this place, unless you want a few beers and to watch a game on the TVs.

Pretty decent food, friendly service and relaxed atmosphere. Had the Philly cheese steak sandwich. Not a traditional Philly but what you expect outside Philly so still good and a healthy portion size.

Maybe the pub has good character on the weekends? The not so friendly Asian bartender on Tuesday night barely spoke English and just said bar closes at 11:30. Not a care in the world about the patrons

Authentic Irish pub with good food at a decent price. The atmosphere is genuine and transforming. Takes you from the hustle and bustle of daily SF life to a time forgotten. Awesome experience!!

Quaint and charming. Somewhat limited seating but they never seemed to have an issue getting folks seated. Bigger groups might have a challenge. Decent food, good bangers and mash.

Decent food and decent service. It is very small and there is no place to wait for a table (like most of SF), so it can be hard to snag a table. Good place for a beer and snack.

A solid little pub in downtown San Francisco. Food was fine, lots of beer choices, and good TV viewing. Definitely recommend as a quick stop if youre in town.
