Centrally located in the heart of Calistoga. Rooms are nice but the toilets and showers are shared, dorm style like. There is individual sinks in the rooms. The restaurant with an outside patio and bar occupy the first floor of the establishment. During our stay there was major construction on the bridge next to the inn which distracted the ambiance of the stay. We also happened to arrive on the night of the last free summer concert in the park so parking was a bit of a challange as the inn doesnt have a private lot and utilities the public roads. The included morning continental breakfast is very simple (granola, fruit, pastry and coffee)... we opted to walk a block and get a full breakfast as there are plenty of options within walking distance. We did eat at the restaurant and the food was top notch. Overall Id say staying at the Inn was just okay. Nothing fancy. Its clean and comfortable but the shared toilet and showers wasnt what we expected and did not like very much.. though the shared bathrooms were clean and fairly nice. The restaurant food and drinks are top notch and Id got there again for the food and drinks bit would pass on staying there again.

We went in for a few drinks and potentially food. The server was fine but as soon as people started showing up, we were ignored. After our second drink we were contemplating food but instead, the server brought us our check without asking if we wanted food or another drink. We were put off by this as ordering just drinks makes us a very easy and high revenue margin customer. To make matters worse, the server never came back to pick up our card. We had to drop it off with the host. Maybe this is acceptable in an overpriced, tourism driven industry. Maybe they didnt want our perfectly behaved dog around their customers (which they happily allowed on their patio when no one was there). But, as locals, we dont need to patronize a place like this. Being in the wine industry, I dont feel the need to bring my clients there. On a positive note, the beers were pretty decent. Too bad we wont be drinking them again.

BRING EARPLUGS-- because the bathrooms are shared, people are tromping up and down the hallway all night- and these floors are loud! If your room faces the street- try to change it ,especially if you are there during the week- as you will be woken up very early (and during the night) as truckers pass through. Big truckers. They supposedly have free wifi but I could not get it to work the entire time I was here. Maybe it was just the room I was in (1) - who knows. The staff was nice, the restaurant downstairs is pretty good, they have nice breakfast scones. I also really liked their shower- great water pressure, very hot water (this is in the shared bathroom area, which was not so bad...) I just think that you (potential future guest) should be aware that it is really really loud all night long. Trucks, people in the hallway, loud music from downstairs. Again, bring your best earplugs.

The check in and check out processes were extremely easy. I had to request a reservation email a couple of times, however. The breakfast isnt worth mentioning. The noise level of hearing other guests upstairs was really high. There is absolutely no soundproofing. The room was extremely stuffy, so we opened the window, which made it worse as the kitchen vents were right there. Parking is difficult to find. For a one night stay it was acceptable, of course, though the price was a bit high for the conditions, even taking in the fact that it is in Calistoga. The people were extremely nice so this review is only for the room. Upsides, location was convenient, people were wonderful and one night stays are accepted.

Weve found this to be our best dining experience in Calistoga (and weve eaten at several places here and throughout the valley)! The service is attentive and sweet, the place is clean, and the chefs are outstanding. We had 4 dishes on 2 successive nights (once we discovered how great the place was, we couldnt go anywhere else) and each was fresh, incredibly tasty, and perfectly portioned. We did the flight of 5 of their brews and even the beers are amazing. I saved a bit of room for Meyer Lemon pie and was glad I did...it was so creamy and lemony without being overly sweet. The prices are really reasonable too. We cant wait to be back! We wish them every success so theyre around for years to come!

We had great expectations after reading the reviews. Decor was comfortably elegant and outdoor setting pleasant, especially in the summer weather. We shared the Caesar Salad. Small portions and the lettuce was wilted and clearly a few days old. In this area of so many outstanding restaurants, this was disappointing. The Paella was just ok as well. If you are looking for a brewery and extensive wine list, I am sure the Calistoga Inn is great. I wanted exceptional food. Service was very slow. Our waiter disappeared repeatedly, and we had to prompt the wait staff for water, bread and our check. If you are a local, your experience may be different, but as a visitor, I would not return.

We travel over 3,000 miles every couple of years just to stay at the Calistoga Inn. Dont go there thinking you are staying at the Ritz Carlton, its not what it is and they dont advertise it to be that. It is a comfortable room, great friendly bar, a separate restaurant with really good food, and a beautiful outdoor patio dining area, in a little valley that makes everyone feel more than welcome. Read up on the place so you know what your getting. And if you just are looking for an unpretentious, friendly, homey place, go there. Just dont take our room when we fly across country to go back again.

The hotel is exactly as they present it on thier website. It is basically a upscale hostel. Rooms are clean, breakfast is simple, and ammenities are shared. 19 rooms are small, but I didnt go to wine country to sit in my room. It would have been very hot if I had. We left each day around 11 and came back late in the night. I would stay again!! I do not recomend for someone who thinks the hotel should be a "typical" Napa Valley hotel, those cost 5x as much...you get what you pay for and the area is EXPENSIVE! Food in the restaurant was yummy with a great wine list, service was subpar.

Im finding it hard to believe that these people actually went to this place. Staying in an incredibly small room above a bar and having to go into the hall to go to the bathroom is not worth $160. I felt pretty cheated. The only good thing about it was that it was nicely located in town. The continental breakfast was basically English Muffins and peanut butter. I wouldnt recommend this place for anyone with other options, who is accustomed to nicer accommodations. It really is like taking you back to your backpacking days and dumping into a youth hostel.

Very accommodating for our well behaved dog to join us on the patio, which was just the start of a great evening. We asked and received without question, water for our dog as well. Now for the meal (but the dog thing is a no starter), we began with apps; mussels and clams in a great garlic broth. Then paella for me (w enuf for lunch tomorrow) and jerk chicken for J. Very good on both counts. Tender and lots of flavor. Beer was good as a nice bonus. Didnt have room for dessert. Good service and a great environment for a casual, outdoor, vacation dinner
