A self described soccer bar that doesnt have World Cup qualifiers on automatically (which youd expect bc they say theyre a soccer bar) and then wont put soccer on even just one tv bc some people wanna watch basketball?! Service was fine, a bit slow bc it was crowded and they were understaffed. Bloody Mary ok. Got full English breakfast and it was good. But ultimately, I cant really recommend this place...I came here to watch soccer bc they say theyre a soccer bar but they didnt have on World Cup qualifiers?! If they arent playing soccer, whats the point? Theyre just a regular old bar with decent service and food if theyre not actually gonna play soccer.

Authentic British Pub in the heart of Ballard. Its patrons are a mix of locals & tourists with a vibrant ex-pat community. You can get a perfectly poured Guiness or an Amstel Light, which I prefer. The bar food is good & served quickly. There is an outdoor patio in front, but dont miss the back patio, with views of the Ship Canal. There is a pool table where locals play "killer pool" every Friday evening-all are welcome for a $3 buy-in. The owners are Brits whove been in Seattle for decades & are extremely nice. Most weekend nights youll see John & Debbi behind the bar or sitting with friends. I highly recommend thus pub!

My go to bar in Ballard. The bartenders here are characters and it makes for a good time. Can get crowded very late at night on a weekend but otherwise its a really nice bar to sit and hangout. Theres really a ton of space and variety of seating options. Head to the back for darts and a billiard table, complete with stools for watching the games. Theres even some outdoor seating for the warmer months. Plenty of parking down the road near the water, which puts you within walking distance of other places in Ballard as well!

A good pub experience with plenty of dark corners to drink and hide in, some bar games to get your inner dude-bro on, or get your outer dude-bro on watching one of the TVs above the bar. The food is pretty on par with other bar food in the area, but they do serve "euro" style dishes such as bangers & mash, etc. We were pleasantly surprised by hints of curry in some of the dishes (chicken tenders with chutney), which was a nice touch.

such a great bar and restaurant! and i love the location. I enjoy the food there, they have really great fish and chips, and their appetizers are hardly ever a let down. I love to bring friends there to watch soccer games, you get such a feel of what a real soccer fan base is like. and the owners are English so they show a lot of love to the European/UK sports.

If you ask me the reviews here underrate the Market Arms. I think a lot of the bad reviews come from people who had slow service when the bar was packed with soccer fans. So if you dont like crowds, dont come here during big games. Otherwise, the drinks are decent, the beer is decent, the fish and chips are great and the waitresses are nice (and attractive).

Ive liked the fish & chips and the breakfast sandwich. Didnt like the spinach dip. I tend to think its a bit pricey, but $15.50 for two Bloody Marys and a breakfast sandwich this morning was terrific. The atmosphere is great, whether its packed for a Seahawks game or just a quiet weeknight. Added bonus=Strongbow on tap.

I had dinner at the Market Arms a couple days ago. The service was mediocre. Waitress and bartender were hanging out behind the bar deep in conversation. Even when getting her attention because our table needed something, she finished her chat with the bartender first. THE BURGER WAS GREAT!

Average food, long wait and ok prices. But the reason for the one star is there is a guy who yells so freaking loud and so much during Seahawks games. I live nearby and can hear him all the time. Its more annoying than listening to a barking dog all night. Your money is best spent elsewhere.

English Pub? Lots of TVs? Right in the middle of Ballard? Awesome!! Whats not so awesome - food quality is not good, best thing on the menu is probably their overcooked fish & stale fries. Service is super slow (which may be due to how large and busy this place gets during games).

Never go on a game night. They have a guy who yells at the screen, at the top of his lungs. Unbelievably loud. As loud as a superfan, using the voice hed use in the stadium. And hes there every single game. Just dont do it. If its a game night, stay clear of this place.

Food was totally gross: soup was slightly burnt, fries more closely resembled a nest of mashed potatoes (totally limp and greasy). Acoustics prevented us from hearing one another or the Sounders game on the TV. Will never go back.

They have some ciders on tap, so thats a plus. They also usually show some soccer matches you cant usually find elsewhere. My British friend says its the "most British pub" hes been to in Seattle. So thats something, right?

The inside... Lets face it it resembles a sleazy divebar but the outside (particularly in the fall or spring) is perfect! The food is good, and customer service isnt that. Even though I mark it as 3* I would still recommend

I think my favorite part of this pub is the food - Ive tried almost everything on the menu, and its all great. Highly recommended location for soccer fans looking for a great venue to watch a game.

The Market Arms is a quaint bar with great beer and good food. They have pool tables as well as shuffleboard in the back. But it is a fantastic place to watch sports - particularly soccer!

Rude service, the bar people are more interested in each other than serving customers. There also a guy/freak screaming during some games that the pathetic staff dont tell to shut up.

Well never go back here again. Probably some of the worst food weve ever had, and so-so service at best (& thats being generous...its never really the wait staffs fault).

I dont love the menu but the drinks are stiff and the service has always been great. Bartenders remember you. Good security...no douchebaggery allowed in here.

The food is okay, the service is okay, everything is okay. I cant think of a more baseline experience. The prices are good, but they come at a price.

Chill pub. Not quite a dive but more of a neighborhood bar feel. Staff is friendly and interactive. A good place to chill and have a beer.

Claims to be a soccer bar showing sounders games but elected to do trivia over having the Sounders on TV. Either be a soccer bar or not.

Good patio and location. Small selection of beers and plenty of pub food. Service was kinda slow but we werent really in a hurry.

Slow service but good place to grab a drink and their food looks really good even though I have never actually eaten there.

The Market Arms feels like a British pub. They have a wide selection of drinks available and they serve bar food as well.
