This is a great little place to grab lunch and then head to the Embarcadero to sit and enjoy the views. They have the same 4-5 menu options to choose from daily, and most everyone gets it to go since they only have 1-2 tables. Its about 2 blocks from great people watching on Embarcadero - fun to just relax in the sun and eat some yummy Indian food.

My nose brought me in here. It smelled so good! And there were people eating at almost all the tables. I got the chicken tikka masala. How can something smell so good taste like nothing? Rice was also dry. ***cries*** I dont even know what you are even supposed to add to tikka to make it taste better? Salt? Soy sauce?

When lunch time beckons and you want the aroma of Pakistanian food envelopes you, check out Rotee Express. They make consistently good Masala and nice Rotees. While the serving size might be scaled back, the food is a must eat, must consume place if you seek Indian food during lunch around Financial District!

Curry flavors were really mild and the naan was a really flat paratha style, which is not to my liking. Theres also a 10% service charge that they dont mention on the menu, so my $8.75 plate was actually $10.40. That was an unfortunate surprise.

Some good things. Rice was good. Califlower was good. Chicken entrees are terrible. I say skip this place
