Masala Dosa offers typical Northern Indian dishes like Chicken Tikka Masala (chicken in creamy sauce), Aloo Gobi (spiced potato and cauliflower), and Palak Paneer (spinach and ghee cheese cubes), but it really shines in Southern Indian dishes, like Uthappam and Dosa platters. Uthappam (gluten-free spongy bread) and Dosa (crispy crepe) are served with choices of dipping curry and chutney sauces. Each platter makes a generous dinner for one. My favorite sweet items to close out the meal are Kheer (cardamom-sprinkled rice pudding) and Kulfi (Indian ice cream flavored with nuts and spices).

We had a wonderful lunch here during the week. Its a small, but nice restaurant half a block out of the park. My husband and I split the chicken tikka masala plate with an extra order of potato naan. We were pleasantly surprised when the plate came out with not just the curry and rice (which was slightly seasoned), but small sides of diced sweet potato, a light, yet creamy salad and naan. It was the perfect amount for us to split and a delightful display on the plate. Ive eaten at Naan and Curry, which is good, but I like this place better for not just the food, but the atmosphere.

Ordered take out for the first time from Masala Dosa to celebrate my birthday. Not that my birthday has anything to do with Indian food really but Indian just happened to be what I was craving. I have to say the food was quite nice. Samosas were huge and crispy, chicken vindaloo was pleasantly spicy with tender chicken, and my wife liked her aloo jeera. Also added some chicken patora because hey, its my birthday. The cilantro dipping sauce was quite nice.

I ordered a few dishes for delivery and it took quite awhile (about an hour and twenty minutes). Once it arrived, though, I was nothing short of ecstatic! The chicken tikka masala was delicious and came in sizable portions. The naan was fresh and hot. The aloo (forgot the full name but it was the spinach and potato dish) was also really good. In summary: dont expect a lightning-quick delivery, but expect very tasty Indian food.

A relaxing place to enjoy some healthy Indian food with friends and/or family. I like that they have some of the dishes which I dont find in many other Indian restaurants, like Idly and Dosa. Papadum and Mango Lassi are always my favorite. All the curry dishes are good. There are also gluten-free dishes available. Service is courteous. A good neighborhood restaurant thats easy to bypass.

This is the best Indian spot in the area in my opinion. They have amazing Dosas! Pretty large, we got one to share with two people plus one appetizer. The one negative thing about this place? Its always so damn hot in here! Even in the summer its hotter in here than it is outside. I hate feeling sticky when Im eating. Turn on the AC or a fan! Something...

I ordered takeout from this place yesterday, and the food was so bad I couldnt eat it and had to throw it out! I ordered the chicken madras - the chicken tasted strange, and the sauce was runny and flavorless. I have never had such bad Indian food anywhere. I know Indian food well as I am from the UK - never go to this place.

I have eaten in and got take away from here loads of times, both have always been fantastic. This is definitely one of the best Indian restaurants in the city and is very easy on the wallet. You would have to go to India or England to get better. Highly recommended.

We were looking for a place to eat at late night. Saw this place, walk in... food is simply took us to hevan. Its the best Indian food you can have in bay area. If you like Indian and have good taste buds, then this is the place. Ps: service was outstanding!

This was my first time trying Dosa, and I think I am now addicted to Dosa. It was crispy outside but chewy texture. The flavor of sauces were good. Im planning on coming back here again to try their other dishes.

I want to bathe in the korma paneer. The type of Indian food that makes it impossible to stop eating until youve enacted your own little interpretation of the infamous Meaning of Life restaurant scene.

Nothing really South Indian about the place except the name of the resto. Mostly westernized and if yu are looking for traditional South Indian this is not the place.

Great prices and friendly service. The disaster are huge! Big enough for two to easy split. Try the paper thin one - crisp to perfection.

Good South Indian. I think most of the negative reviews here are for the old Indian spot that was at this location.

Dosa, soup and chutney were good. Excellent service. One star less as the sambar was a bit below my liking.
