I had just purchased my 3RE cup of over priced coffee when I was approached by app police officer, who informed me that he had received a call from the cafe. And that I would have to leave. When I asked him why he suggested that it may be because of my bicycle and bike trailer that I had parked completely out of the way , tucked beside of the area where their compost and recycle cans were placed. I find the atmosphere there to be very uptight and obviously judgemental. And I suggest that no one who is not a complete snob should visit the premises on fear of being arrested or at least very embarrassed, as I was that day.

I ordered from this place a couple of times. One time, I ordered a sandwich over the phone... Waited 15min went there, and sandwich was not ready. Waited another 10min... I get the sandwich, it was extremely sloppy; box was covered in oil. And the most important part... They screwed up on my sandwich. Second time, they screw up on my order and almost charged me double the price of the sandwich if I hadnt say anything about the price. Had a terrible experience here. Went a block up for better service and quality sandwiches

This place used to be open till 11pm which made it one of my favorites late night coffee-shops but now they are open till 8pm. I usually order a hot veggie with mozzarella and cheddar cheese with a 16oz Arnold Palmer. The sub is good and the drink is ok, whats great about this place is that they are a very diverse sweeteners (agave, honey, syrups, etc ) and milks ( rice, almods, and the regulars) and they are all free!

Started with great beer. We then had some of the best bread Iv ever tasted. We decided to order various plates to share. We started with clams in a white wine sauce with two pieces of bread at the bottom. No need to dip. our next dish was asparagus with a fried duck egg on top. Just amazing. Fritters and burrata to finish it off. Profiteroles and grasshopper pie. Excellent in every way. Thank you.

I stoped in for a coffee just passing by and decided to try the Irish bread. I am so glad I did ,it is perfection. Moist, light, a tad sweet. I had 2 the raisin and fresh fruit . I craved it over the next day and then went back and had a piece and took two more to go . Service is friendly and atmosphere is pleasant . defiantly come try this secret Family recipe for Irish soda bread .

We went to this place for the first time, but the food was quite expensive and not that great. Nothing we had was that good. We had a mocha, two salads, two orange juices, and one BLT sandwich, which costs over $55. If you can find somewhere else to go, I recommended it. Also, the mocha was cold and not hot as it should have been.

Awesome place for big, delicious sandwiches. The lattes are sooooo good. Outside seating is nice and feels a little intimate. Great option to grab a bite when youre coming back from a ride, the park, the beach, the zoo.. just a great location. Best for small (max four) groups if youre eating in.

Really enjoy going to this place to get coffee. Not a starbucks, and that is a good thing. The staff is friendly, and generally the food is served hot. Limited menu with salads and sandwiches, but I like to go there early in the morning and buy my guilty pleasure donut

Great sandwiches, friendly stuff, nice outside seats. I particularly want to mention hot chocolate, which was really tasty and was not over-sweetened. Many US places tend to add too much sugar to drinks which make them tasteless, but here it was a proper cocoa/chocolate.

Groovy atmosphere, not as hippy as the one on Judah but just as tasty. The coffee rocks (get up to 4 shots of espresso in a $4 large mocha - used to be $3.85 but theyve had to raise prices on everything recently), free wifi is good, pastries fresh.

Great improvements, worth checking out: - Craft Beer: now features "brewed in SF" delicious local craft beers - HUGE improvement in the coffee & espresso drinks. Java Beach on Sloat Blvd is now an excellent place for hot and cold beverages!

I really enjoy their sandwiches. The salads are good but I have to try more of their items. Overall, its a great place for lunch or a cup of coffee. I dont think you can have a bad lunch time here. Free Internet is a plus

The veggie sandwich was good, but not great, and over priced at $10. The kids liked the ham and grilled cheese sandwich. The coleslaw was too spicy. They were out of all bagels except for cinnamon raisin.

My go to breakfast or lunch spot before heading into the zoo with the kiddos. Salads and paninis are great, cant go wrong with a bagel or pastry. Soft serve froyo is a perfect afternoon treat.

Great placefor food and chill. Right next to ocean beach you can relax drinking a great cup of coffee while looking at the ocean from their outside seating. Staff also super nice!

cute place serving soft serve, coffee, bagels and sandwiches. They also have beer on draft. Its right across the street from the zoo, and a short walk to the beach.

RI

Great coffee, friendly staff, good food made with care. Anyone who says they got better food and service "up the street" is shilling for a competitor.

Great neighborhood coffee place, open hella early. (They caffeinate the surfers who somehow survive the near freezing waters 2 blocks away.)

Great sandwiches. Sandwiches are really big and can be easily shared with a second person. Seating can be a challenge at least at busy days.

Great neighborhood coffee shop. Bernies is the best drip coffee choice. A favorite place to get iced drinks when the weather is great.

CH

Filthy bathroom with the door wide opened the whole time, messy counter, and overpriced stale pastry that was tougher than my dogs toy.

A good place to grab coffee and a light meal/breakfast on the ocean Beach area. A favorite spot for the locals living in the area.

Great cafe with good service and amazing food. Breakfast bagels are the bomb and the lunch sandwiches are to die for. Loved it!

My favorite place for a tuna sandwich! I come here, get my tuna sandwich, and sit at the outside tables on a beautiful day.
