As a traveler driving up the California coast I stopped here for lunch. I was excited to try something new and found the restaurant decor to be fairly inviting. The turn-off was primarily the service. I was attended to by an older gentleman whom I assume to be the owner, who with bad attitude wanted me to hurry up and chose a side salad to my ribs despite me being the only one in line. They take CASH ONLY, despite their prices being in the higher price range, around $10 for my dish. I chose to have the ribs, and being used to this cut of ribs at least 3/4 inch thick I was disappointed to receive ribs no more than 1/4 inch thick, and a salad composed mostly of lettuce and unwashed cabbage I had to get replaced. There was a younger man who changed my salad, and he seemed very understanding when I explained why I wanted it changed. Even then I do not feel I got my $10 worth, and now understand why I was the only person in line ordering from this place.

Alright. The fired foods were delicious (KATSU!), but gravies were really bland and everything else was kind of meh, - 1 star. -1 star because the bathrooms were disgusting -1 star because they were sooooo cheap to their customers. Literally charging for takeout boxes, not putting out ketchup, not putting out napkins or utensils, threatening to charge you $25 if you put soda in your water cup, etc. Just a little over the top...

Absolutely hate this place. Price is good but the customer service and ability to get a order right is terrible! Ive been here 2 times and wont be coming back. Today I ordered a simple bbq hamburger, plain no cheese and yet I get a mayo soaked bun, with no bbq sauce, and everything on it... They didnt even offer to fix it when I complained and I actually had to ask for a new bun and they brought me bbq sauce. Dont go here!!

I live far away from this place but I order all the time for meetings. Every time people eat this L&L Hawaiian food, they love it and ask to order again at future meetings. The portions are big. There’s one small problem and that is, this place is not for vegetarians. But no problem, I just order something for a few vegetarians and solve my problem.

Not good at all. Cabbage that came with entree was raw (normally cooked). Asked for teriyaki sauce and they had to pull it out of the fridge in 1oz cups. So stingy. And on top of that the sauce was watered down. Rice was overcooked. There are so many other Hawaiian BBQ places in the area. Please dont go here.

Unsatisfactory. Came here with my brother and neither of us were impressed. Eggs in my Loco Moco were burnt, beef was rubbery, and service was bad. Paid for a full sized meal and no drink was included. Cash only was an inconvenience and overall, just an unpleasant experience.

This is all food I grew up on. My mother does it all better, but I cant always get Mom to make spam masubi or ribs. This place does it pretty well for a fast food joint. The service is very friendly. Cash only.

Authentic Hawain BBQ, the BBQ chicken was on par with those Ive tried in honolulu. Generous portions and friendly service. Cash only is inconvenience though .
