This place is the true definition of a "gem in the ruff". Youd never expect anything like this place tucked back here. Even after that, youd never believe the set-up inside and they continue to shock you with the fine dinning upstairs. Was dying to eat dinner here, but my group wanted to sit by the bar to drink and eat appetizers. Had a respectable beer selection. I dont know anything about wine or care too, so youre on your own. The seared polenta is a must try. Absolutely perfect. The cheese plate was very nice, but I wanted more. The tacos looked incredible here. I didnt get them, but my friend said they were excellent. Great bread as well. Im coming back to try more. The dinner menu has me very intrigued.

Central, cozy spot ideal for post-work unwinding (downstairs in The Casual Side), business meals (upstairs in The Brasserie), or shopping for your next bottle! Havent met a wine there that wasnt top notch. Join the Wine Club for even better deals, special events (Walk About tastings!) and the monthly flight night. Dont miss their Taco Tuesdays! Blue corn tortillas contain duck confit, shrimp or fresh veggies...yum! Extremely knowledgeable, friendly staff (especially Bryan, Jack and Otto) without any of the wine snobbery you might expect.

I went with a couple of friends apparently right before they closed, but the owner never told us and we ordered food and wine. While the food was cooking he even gave us a brief tour of the facilities. The atmosphere was classy and the food was delicious. It wasnt until well after we finished eating that the owner asked us if he could clear the plates from the table. We left 40 minutes after business hours. I cant recall the last time a restaurant was so polite and patient. I would rate this a 10 out of 5 if I could.

Ive dined at the WineSellar several times over the past few years. Every meal has been superlative on all levels - in fact, this place is one of my top 3 favorite restaurants in San Diego (Im from San Francisco and something of an admitted food/dining snob). Sure, its a bummer this place is hidden in some goofy business park - but they make the best out of a not-great location. I love this place and would recommend it for a romantic evening, a big splurge, celebrations, etc.

Always great food served in an upscale environment. The starting bread is amazing, I could just have that for lunch! If this place was cheaper Id go for lunch more often, but its usually $20 for lunch all said and done. If youre into wine, you cant go wrong with their selection.

This restaurant is a hidden gem. The food was phenomenal along with the service. My wife and I went out for the 1st time in a long time without our daughter and boy was this the right choice. Thanks to Greg and the staff...many Blessings! Matty & Karen

They have a small but good selection of beer, and great happy hour prices. I didnt try any of the food but what I saw on other peoples plates looked pretty tasty. They also have a full bar, not a lot of places in this area do.

Wonderful atmosphere, with some good wine choices available. Have a couple sampling trays available if you arent sure what you might like.
