Im 66, my wife is 59 years old. We were on our Honeymoon 9-25 & 26 2015 when we visited Patricks. Unbelievable fun dancing, The music was a fast beat and we danced for 4 hours non stop each night. Had a blast both nights. The highlight of our 15 days in California! Wish they had bands this good in Indiana. Walter the big black man on the saxophone played 5 notes for every one that most players would play. We was a dynamite sax player. He played his heart out! Hats off to Patricks. Well never forget it. My wife is still smiling and its been eight days since we were there. Glad thatwe took pictures before the show the second night- Walter stood between us on the Stage with the Patricks sign in the middle of the pictures we took with him. He wouldnt even except my tip. Super memory, Don and Ellen Harris Bloomington, Indiana

By far (seriously) the absolute best pub in San Diego. Pints of Guinness are poured perfectly by the bartenders, the prices are fantastic, the atmosphere is completely relaxing, and they have live music every night of the week! No more posh pub visits with overpriced drinks and snobby wait staff, no more overpriced pints and shots, and no more douche bag clientele! Patricks Gaslamp Pub is downtown San Diegos premier pub. Im so happy to have stumbled upon this absolute jewel with the best pub employees anywhere! Enjoy the drinks, enjoy the staff, and enjoy the crown jewel of San Diego pubs at Patricks.

Short little manager escalated a situation and treated his customers with such disrespect. If he does not own the place someone needs to inform ownership that he is out of control. Shameful behavior. Some crazy customers who may have been on drugs or something seem to be his preferred customer profile. A nice night ruined... Ive never witnessed anything like it. Great music but not worth the managers power trip... Id stay away if you are just normal people looking for a fun relaxed evening .

Wouldve been a nice experience, the live music wasnt terrible in quality, but they seriously need to rethink their sound system. Its a tiny place, and the sound system is fit for a full arena, to the point where it is overwhelming and quite painful to listen to. I actually screamed out loud and couldnt hear myself. It ruined my entire experience. Not to mention I witnessed quite a few not so sanitary practices from the bartenders.

The husband and I are visiting from Texas. We was skeptical about it being a blues spot. We had visit many spots before but it was a different kind of blues. Great music! Everyone made me very comfortable especially me be in a wheelchair on a no weight restriction on my ankle. The owner and waitress kept checking on me to make sure I was okay. We will revisit again when in town.

Fun bar, great music, but being thrown out before closing just because security couldnt be bothered on a Friday night was pretty disappointing - especially as my friend and I had travelled a long way to catch up over a beer (thousands of miles). Oh yeah and some girl either fell off her chair or the chair broke - but she split her head open and was quickly ushered out.

Love this place. Great hometown feeling. Bartenders are amazing and friendly. And they make a mean caesar for us Canadians. I have been to San Diego probably once a year in the last eight years, and I always make it a point to stop here. Phil, Mike,Brenda, and Gary rock!

I normally dont go to downtown but this was my first coming to this bar and the bartender brenda is by far the most fun bartender i have ever encountered. She even bought me a couple shots. 10/10 any day of the week and i shall return.

No better place for live blues in San Diego. And the prices cant be beat: $2.75 for domestic bottled beer, $3.25 for domestic drafts, and $3.50 well drinks. Would warrant a 5 but its a tiny bar and they dont serve food.

The bands that play live are talented and make you feel like youre at a party. The staff is friendly and work hard to serve you quickly. The mood of the bar perfect, it has become my new favorite stop in San Diego.

Do not go there !!! That is, if you appreciate your life, having a beer one person got jump by 4 and the security instead of helping he jump the guy too.!!!

Pleasant bar showing English football. Chatty bar staff. Small selection of local ales. Typical Irish pub. No food to speak of. Would visit again though.
