This place is great! Gives you that small personal vibe. The service was a little slow only because there was one waitress for the outside patio area. The food is soooooo good! If you love fries and Bacon get there house special. I cant remember the name of the item but if you tell them its fries with bacon, blue cheese, and a thousand island type dressing theyll know what you want! those were hands down the best fries Ive every had! Its also in a nice quiet area. about 2 blocks from the main drag in LA Jolla. Everyone there is super friendly, also they focus on you and your order which is super important to me. The waiters arent looking around worrying about other tables, they focus on you and your table!. Anytime Im in LA Jolla Im gonna stop there for a bite! Update- Daves fries is what there called! MUST try!

Come hungry! Public House has a great menu, with great prices during happy hour AND lots of great beers on tap. One of the only local places Ive found with my favorite Belgian, Blue Chimay. Tried the: Dave Fries Steak Bruschetta Calamari Plate Surf & Turf Burger Highly recommend the Steak Bruschetta and Dave Fries! Calamari was good, but not a reason to return. Surf & Turf burger was true to its name, lots of beef and shrimp, but did not have vegetables.. Which I disliked. Im sure you could ask, but I wish Id known beforehand. Next time I plan to try the Kobe Wagyu Sliders and order the Dave Fries again.

Quirky, fun, and delicious! I stopped here after walking by on the way to a different restaurant and was glad I did! Seat yourself atmosphere and friendly waitstaff made it a great experience. Even the bartender stopped by to make sure I was OK. Ordered the corn chowder (large portion and delicious!) and a patty melt. The melt was good, although it desperately needed more cheese to qualify for "melt" status. I happened to go on Tuesday which is half-price burger night, so that was an added bonus.

My boyfriend and I stumbled into this restaurant on a whim on a Tuesday afternoon. We were very pleased with the service and food. During their Tuesday Happy hour from 3-6 burgers were half off. I have to say their burgers were absolutely delicious and I would have paid full price for them any day. Our waitress was pleasant and attentive and we walked away with full bellies and high spirits. I would definitely eat here again.

The food was good, the staff was friendly. We were there during one of the NBA championship games and so the people were a little more rowdy than my liking. It doesnt have the overall feel of a sports bar (feels more quaint and romantic), so Im guessing that was just because it was a big game. Great place for small plates/tapas. You can pick 4 things off the appetizer menu and be full and happy.

Love to come here after work to unwind by the beach. The food is always super satisfying and the beer selection is over whelming. I alway try out new dishes and beer everytime and everytime Im always well pleased! Seating is kind of limited (since its a small outdoor patio and a small indoor setting) but I always try to find a spot by the outdoor heaters!

Food was great along with an amazing selection of beer. However the poor waitress was by herself the night we were there and I overheard her say the owner never comes around. Its a shame because the poor girl was working her tail off and an owner should be checking in to his establishment. Kudos to the cooks and wait staff for sure!

The beer list is incredible for a spot in La Jolla, its right up there with Churchills and Hamiltons with their beer list. With the food though, theyd be a league above. Id recommend any beer lover in the immediate area to come here.

Awesome place. The people who work there are very friendly. The food is fantastic. The garlic cheese fries are the best. Our last server was Giuseppe, he did a fantastic job. I would recommend this place to everyone.

They have a great BOGO deal during the week, or at least they used to. Plenty of beer to choose from and garlic fries to die for. Awesome little spot and great outside dining area for when its nice out.

Brunch was great! Grilled cheese benedict was perfect, Wagyu sliders were very tasty, breakfast burrito was good, and the waffle was very good but could have used more bacon on top :)
