Rose Pub is a nice wine experience. Since they just opened the second half of the shop it has gotten quite a bit better for dining out. Seating used to be a little tight but now it feels as though they have the right amount of space. Rose recently changed the food menu as well, removing their gluten free options, but expanding their flat bread options that contain gluten. My wife and I love getting a glass or two of wine along with the cheese and meat board. Its a fairly quite space with board games and other conversation starters. Love this as a local spot to come back to for an intimate experience. Awesome date night.

Face it, most wine bars in San Diego have terrible wine that they get cheap from distributors because no one else wants it. The Rose is the exception and they have an interesting and rarely seen selection of wines , by the glass and by the bottle. My only issue is that the prices by the glass are more expensive than average, but I guess they do have to make a profit.

The sort of place you keep hoping youll find and never do. But here it is, a comfortable place that actually cares about wine. Their stuff is actually good, not just described by clever words and phrases. The food is good too (and they have desserts even though they arent on the menu).

The wine selection was fantastic. They had bubbles which made me super happy, and they do half pours of any of their by the glass wine. Low key and relaxed environment but bright and upbeat. Get a bottle to go or to stay. Good place.

Decent wine selection and limited, but tasty food options. There is a $10 corkage fee if you want to drink a bottle you buy there. Seems unreasonable to me. The room has a cozy feel, but is very loud if there is a big group.

Bad service. Went there for a private event. Wanted to buy a glass of wine and had to wait forever. They werent that busy the staff was just working slow. I finally got tired of waiting and left.
