My pizza lists in sacramento is small. I prefer close to Italian or new York style pizza as best it can. I like the concept of the place and was a huge fan of the place when it first opened. This place was on my list of places Id love to bring people but since Ive went last Ive noticed that the portions have gone down and prices have gone up. I understand the importance of adjusting prices to cost of goods but decreasing portion size also doesnt help. Service is decent though. Quick to fill waters (they give a glass bottle filled water at the table) and stopped by when they needed to. Design and decor of the place is nice. My overall feeling is if u want to take a date some place nice and fun this place is good. If you want affordability and/or quantity then this isnt the place. This place is better tasting than most but not the best place Ive had.

DO NOT GET A GLUTEN FREE PIZZA FROM HERE!!!!!! ITS 4 SLICES AND THEY CHARGE YOU 18.00 PLUS TAX!! Plus it taste like flavorless dough. The best part is the pretentious servers refuse to give you a refund especially when they told me it would be a medium ( which is the size of there pizzas )They came up with some bullshit excuse about how gluten free flour is more expensive when its cheaper than regular flour. Then they totally went back on there word saying that they mill there own flour. The service is crap, the chairs are super uncomfortable and when they screw up and give you misleading information the refuse to give you a refund and stare at you with a smile like there enjoying it. In Conclusion DO NOT COME HERE! Your better off making your own at home. Believe me its way cheaper.

We have been to this restaurant several times and have always had a good time and enjoyed the food. In early March we tried to make a Birthday reservation for a party of 12 and were told they do not take reservations but would keep an eye out for us to accomodate us. My boss arrived and saw that the large round table only had 2 people sitting there, he kindly asked the couple if they wouldnt mind helping us out by moving to a smaller table since we were a large party, they were very friendly and agreed to move. A male waiter came over and YELLED at my boss not to speak to his clients and was extremely rude. My boss and our party were very embarassed so we went over to Luccas and had a fabulous time. Highly unlikely well return to this restaurant with such bad service.

Went there a few weeks ago and ordered, green salad, pizza and panini. A friend recommended the panini, which I normally never would have chosen over pizza. He was right--the panini was on a cornmeal pizza-crust-syle bread. It was very good and cheaper than the pizza or calzone by several dollars. You can choose from a crazy assortment of pizzas, with toppings ranging from poached egg to eggplant. The salad was fabulous. Gelato was tasty, though not as good as I remember having in Italy, but I guess that would be asking too much. The prices were a little high, but the atmosphere is unique and the service quick. Good place to meet friends or to take a date.

The building decor was nice, kinda industrial chic, but we really go to a restaurant for the food, which was mediocre at best considering the prices, we had the salmon pizza, it was rubbery and the smoked salmon topping was not the best. The dessert, which was a horse shoe shaped pastry, was burnt and pretty tasteless though it did looked pretty. They dont have coffee and will offer to substitute an americano for you, not the same. They are pretty wishy washy about their closing time. Maybe I am dont know what authentic Italian food supposed to taste like, but I know what tastes good to me. Not the place to go for a pleasant enjoyable meal.

Delicious! Highly recommend. Try a little of everything.... Salad, Brussel Sprouts!!! (Yum), pizza, calzone, and be sure to use the rosemary and pepper oils on the table. Finish it with some of the best gelato and espresso!! Amazing. We enjoyed the food. My only suggestion... Bring down the volume. It was so hard to carry a conversation with our out of town family. Our visit was early evening 6pm. There were families of all age groups including young children there. May I also say, I was very uncomfortable. The seating is very unusual. I understand it fits with the trendy decor. I want to be honest even in a 5 star review.

This place is an absolute favorite of mine. Their pizza is thin-crust with lots of interesting combinations like the Casalegno (potato and rosemary), the Murino (pears and honey) or the Magnini (salmon and dill) along with almost-traditional fare like the Ligabue (pesto), Materazzi (pepperoni) or Cannavero. The décor is unapologetically modern, with lots of exposed concrete, and the restaurant also doubles as a showroom for Italian stuff—everything from bike gear to Fiats. It can be a bit noisy and a little hard to have a conversation when its busy, but if you get there early enough, its great. Ive never been disappointed.

My friends have given this place rave reviews, so I went with very high expectations. Overall, it was ok. The first time I got the pesto pizza; second time I got the smoked salmon pizza. Both pizzas were good. I do like that theyre thin crust. But a lot of their combinations are a bit too zany for me. You do have to go with an open mind and be willing to try something different. I like the atmosphere and they have a small outdoor patio in the back, which is nice.

I used to go here once a month for a friend get together. Pizza is consistently delicious. Gelato, coffee, good vibes, all in an amazing building too. Something like Super Platinum LEED certified. That large fan in the main room isnt a design feature. Its part of the custom air flow system to keep their energy consumption down but also have a brick oven inside during the summer and its not crazy hot.

The price is a little steep for lunch (avg is 12-14 for a decent dish). I dunno, its fine and all but just not my thing. I found it a little pretentious overall. The menu is a bit hard to navigate. Fine being treated to lunch there but would I spend my own money there? Probably not. A plus was the cute asian bartender. Were it not for the company lunch i would have sat up there and chatted. Oh well.

This is a great place for larger sized (think 25+ people) get togethers. You can call in and reserve whole sections of the place for your party. Because of the set up it encourages people to walk around and socialize. Much better than people sitting around a a few big tables. The food is great and always a crowd pleaser and the restaurant itself has great ambiance.
