The food was good enough. But the moment my boyfriend and I walked into this restaurant heres what I got from the experience: 1. No one at the receptionist desk but then a few seconds pass and then comes a very non welcoming individual that seemed to not care about customer service and just showed us where to sit and then walked away not really saying anything. 2. We waited for the waitress to come.... and waited...and waited....then finally she came but seemed confused when she looked at us like were just kids coming into a "higher end wine restaurant".... She could of just had a bad day at work but still that kind of vibe and not even trying to welcome us is unacceptable in a customer service role. Little does she know my boyfriend and I have been college graduates with a bachelors for the past two years and can afford to eat there. 3. So after eating we waited forever for the the waitress girl to come back... Its like "do you not want us to pay you!?" If anything the guy that actually served us our food was more friendly for that half a second he gave us our food. Through out my experience there I also did notice while eating that the receptionist at the front of the restaurant was still not even looking at the customers walking in or was on his phone. He was doing the complete opposite of what he was supposed to be doing. All in all Im over it, never again.

I OWN A HOME IN GOLD RIVER SO IVE TRIED THIS LOCATION ABOUT 13 TIMES NOW AND ITS ALWAYS THE SAME THING.....BAD SERVICE IN THE BAR....ALWAYS. THERE IS ONLY ONE PERSON TO BLAME FOR THIS AND THAT WOULD BE THE LOCATION MANAGER. I MAKE A VERY GENEROUS INCOME TEACHING CUSTOMER SERVICE TO LARGE CORPORATIONS, SO I KNOW MY "STUFF". I SHOULD NEVER BE KEPT WAITING FOR 8-9 MINUTES, SITTING AT THE BAR, WHILE THE FEMALE BARTENDER CHATS ENDLESSLY WITH A CUSTOMER AT THE FAR END OF THE BAR WITH HER BACK TO THE ENTIRE AREA. SHE SAW ME WALK IN, NO GREETING, NOTHING. SHE KNEW I WAS THERE, SO?... FINALLY, AFTER 8-9 MINUTES OF WAITING, SHE CASUALLY STROLLED TO MY END AND ASKED IF I WOULD LIKE ANYTHING. YES, HENCE THE SITTING AT THE BAR WAITING AND STARING AT HER. I SEE THIS HAPPEN TO OTHERS FREQUENTLY. THEY LEAVE. I LOOK LIKE MONEY, SO ITS NOT THAT. LOL. JUST HORRIBLE HORRIBLE TRAINING FROM MANAGEMENT. NOT GOING THERE ANYMORE. TOO MANY OTHER CHOICES, AND THE BREAD ISNT WORTH THE BAD SERVICE. IVE HEARD PEOPLE IN THE BAR COMPLAIN ABOUT IT EVERY SINGLE TIME. SHAME ON MANAGEMENT. THIS LOCATION MUST BE RAKING IT IN TO AFFORD LOSING SO MANY PAYING CUSTOMERS.

My colleague and I had dinner last night and it was wonderful. The hostess and waitress were very attentive and friendly and food was excellent. Before we decided to come here I read some reviews online and noticed that everybody commented on how good the bread was and I have to say they were right on - it was fantastic. I had the mushroom ravioli with vegetables (delicious) and my colleague had grilled vegetables served with a marinara sauce (the zucchini was some of the best Ive had, she graciously let me sample) and a filet mignon. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice italian dinner that only costs between $15-20 a plate.

I have been a customer at Il Forno for easily 10 years. I have no complaints about the food or service. The food is always good quality and the portions are generous. The bar does get busy but thats because its a popular place, which is common at any good bar. I have never left Il Forno hungry or unhappy, the employees are very personable and the food is great quality. Besides lots of good food to decide on, they give you a full loaf of freshly baked bread to snack on before you order. If you want Italian food, check them out - they do it very well. Ive been there too many times to count and I am sure Ill be back soon enough.

My family and I had the unfortunate experience of choosing this place for lunch. We were greeted by an aging peroxide blonde whom clearly wore the attitude of her rough years on her sleeve. The Salmon was mushy with some kind of sauce, my husbands spaghetti came in child-size portion minus the meatballs and my sandwich was all garlic cloves and very little chicken. The service was not a lot better. We love to try new restaurants but this one left me wishing Id gone to Piatti instead. Save your money, folks, the $65 lunch just wasnt worth it.

The food at Il Forno is to die for!!! I just went for lunch and I will definately be back again! The place is classy and the servers were all kind, professional, and courteous. There were people in suits having business lunches but the atmosphere was also very comfortable - not stuffy or overly formal. I was surprised at how quickly the food was prepared - and soooo delicious! The prices were very reasonable too. Il Forno is a little out-of-the-way but definately worth looking for!!! Eat here!! :-)

I had been looking for a really good seafood risotto but I could never find the dish on the menu of the Italian restaurants I frequented. I happened to randomly drive by this restaurant while going to Jacks and when I finally ate here I was so in love! They have a great variety of food, delicious flavors, and intimate patio setting. Not to mention their seafood risotto is the best I have ever eaten! This is my new favorite Italian restaurant.

There are two sides to Il Forno - Dinner and Lunch. The menu is basically the same but the portions are a bit larger for dinner (you can get either at either time). The inside can be a bit noisy and the outside is pleasant most months of the year. The wine list is exceptional. I like most of their pasta dishes. The service is attentive.

The food was excellent, the service was great, and the atmosphere is classy and comfortable. Plus they give you this loaf of homemade bread at the very beginning and it is delicious! The prices arent cheap, but theyre not expensive either. I ordered the chicken salad and it was outstanding. All in all, a great dining experience.

SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY! Service was extremely slow and the food was mediocre at best. I find it amazing that they would serve BREAKFAST potatoes along with their steak. $210 for two? Yes we had some drinks, but the food was not worth the $140 alone. Go elsewhere, for the money, you can get MUCH MUCH BETTER.

The food and the wine were excellent, but the service was lacking. The server seemed uninterested and aloof. She took a long time to take our drink order, our dinner order, and even longer to deliver the food. I have been here many times and the service was much better. Maybe it was an off day.

Totally awesome. Ordered the pan seared scallops and the vegetables are so perfectly cooked - not mushy but nicely cooked. Coworker got the Halibut special and it was delicious too. Every blows away the chain places. Will recommend. Entrees generally around $$25 - $35.
