Went to the Downtown Auburn location today and the guy working there was sooo nice! Not sure if he is the owner or not, but they were closed and he let me in to have a glass of water and pizza even though they were closed. I had been trying to go there for quite some time and always ended up there on a Monday (they are closed Mondays) or between lunch & dinner (like today). Really pleased with the excellent service! Thank you! And… the Pizza was AMAZING!!! :) Good customer service dose still exist, and its at La Fornaretta in Auburn.

My mother and I were looking for someplace new to have dinner together, and this place popped up on Google Maps. Dont be fooled by its humble appearance! A world of warm laughter, GOOD wines, and fantastic foods await you. And the waitress was so friendly and personable she seemed like a sister Id never known. We didnt try the pizzas, because we wanted to eat light, but they were the most delicious hand-crafted beauties Ive ever seen. Im definitely taking the whole family back for a big authentic pizza dinner!

Driving through Newcastle on Hwy 80? Dont miss the chance to stop at La Fornaretta. The owner comes from a long line of top restaurateurs and it shows in every way. The dishes are remarkable! The owner says "we make them the same way we make them for ourselves." The environment is cozy and welcoming, with outdoor seating on the huge deck-- the building is a charmingly converted fruit packing plant that houses art galleries too.

This place is legit AF. Cioppino was off the hook . The idiot who gave them one star based it off of ONE experience and admitted every other time was great. When youre slinging thousands of meals a week, statistics say there will be an off one . The reviews speak for themselves. GO EAT HERE. you might have to deal with a couple of dumb Giants fans but at least the bartender is a Dodgers fan.

Been here four or five times, had great food and good service each visit. I am not an eggplant fan but my friend had the eggplant parmesana and it was enough to convert me. Not soggy, not slimey not over-garlicked. The pizza is very good as well, with hand-thrown crust. I was in Naples not long ago and I can testify that La Fornaretta stacks up well to "home country" pies.

We have been there many times before and like it very much and found it very consistent. Went there this past Sunday; had to asked for bread, order a bottle of wine and was brought a glass, salad very watery, eggplant was a swimming in sauce and had no body, I tried some pizza someone else ordered and it was also poor. WHAT HAPPENED!!!

The food was fantastic but the service wasnt the best. I had a reservation but they didnt have a spot for me and I still had to wait 10 minutes with my date. Aside from that the waitress wasnt very accessible but otherwise she was friendly. I recommend this restaurant for sure though.

Quaint little place to feel like family....good prices, great portions, great service. Reminds me of family dinners when grandpa was alive, oh ya, and the owner kinda looks like him too, haha...I will be back! Thanks for making us feel welcome.

I told the waitress to sunrise me and she brought me the Cannelloni. It was.wonderful and just the right amount. I also jot the tarimasu. I would suggest trying them both. I have head but not experienced that there pizzas are wonderful.

Best Italian restaurant in the area. Great service. The food is excellent and seems more homemade and not frozen and reheated like other restaurants do. The owner is great and makes sure you enjoy your food.
