We decided to come here for dinner as we were in the area. There were only two tables of selections for the appetizer and salad bar area, rather small for any buffet. The waitress at the front was nice, after we waited for a few minutes for her to return to the counter to take our order. She upsold us on a larger cut of steak for an extra $2, which I regret now as the steak cut my partner got was full of gristle, fat and was tough despite being ordered rare. He got the classic trio entree and while the baked potato was quite good, the shrimp was only so-so. It didnt taste like it belonged on a $16 plate of food. Maybe in a $5 basket with fries. The malibu chicken was something you might find in a Banquet frozen dinner, and the batter recipe must have been stolen from Long John Silvers, and I dont mean that as a compliment. Long Johns is nauseatingly greasy and mealy. I decided to try out the all you can eat riblets. The only thing good about the riblets were the barbecue sauce they put on them and the fries that came with them, which, unfortunately, were not all you could eat. The riblets were about 60% fat, gristle and bone. It seemed like the kind of meat youd throw away after you make your select cuts. Gross. I literally gagged as I bit down on what I thought was meat, but turned out to be a glob of pork fat. The fountain drinks here are wildly overpiced @ $2.50 a glass, and to have the salad bar with your entree is an extra $6 per person on top of the pricey main courses. Lucky we did get the salad bar because the few things we got from there were the only saving grace of the meal. The salad selections here are quite nice, and the appetizers are OK. However, you can find the same appetizers (build-your-own-tacos and meatballs) and most of the salad options at a Hometown Buffet for about two-thirds the cost. The clam chowder was excellent, possibly one of the best Ive ever had. Whether clam chowder is worth the price of admission is up to you. The yeast rolls we were divided on. I thought they were great, but my partner thought they tasted like something you would eat in a school cafeteria. We both agreed the honey butter was good, however. All in all, I was extremely disappointed with the meal, especially considering the nearly $50 I spent for dinner. I kept thinking, maybe the next riblet wont have all this gunk in it. This is probably just a bad cut. Nope. Not a one was any good. By that time, it was too late to ask for my money back. tl;dr version: The only thing good here is the salad bar, but @ $15 a person ($12 for the salad bar and nearly $3 for a drink), youd be better off and more satisfied going somewhere else.

Ive never been so insulted in my life than I was at the Sizzler in Roseville. Me and my wife have been eating at Sizzler for 25 years but we will never eat there again. Last Saturday we took our grandchildren out for dinner which we do about every other Saturday at this Sizzler. I ate dinner with my brother on our way back from the bay area but went along just to help with the kids. My wife ordered a double malibu chicken for her and a childs salad bar for our grandson. Our granddaughter is still a baby so she wouldnt be eating their food. The person taking her order was a "manager" Jose Garcia, he asked my wife if only two people would be eating and she said no my husband wants my second malibu chicken. He told her you cant do that you will need to order a mailibu chicken a la carte. She asked him why and he said because you cant share food. My wife gets back to the table and told me what he had said so I went and asked him about it and he told me the same thing. I said well what if I take the malibu chicken home in a to go box, can I eat it then genius? He stood there with a stupid look on his face. I told him that this is the last time I we will step foot into a Sizzler and his only comment was "thats fine". Not smart in this economy to lose a long time customer over a $2.29 piece of chicken.

I used to drive to the west coast almost every year usually would stop in Reno then drive west By the time I arrived to Roseville I would take the freeway exit and stop for lunch on the way. This place had a different menu than the chain. Needless to say on my first visit there I had a marinated T bone steak. It was so tender I only needed a fork (no knife) The steak was cooked perfect and excellent!! It has been years since I went there so if anyone else goes there recent. Please post a review and let me know if they still offer the t bone steak? My recent visit to a local Sizzler in Layton Utah was a very bad experience and I was very dissapointed as I have been going to Sizzler almost 40 years.

Dissapointed beyond belief. Wanted to bring my wife in the hospital some food to go. Came to find out after i finished my meal that i was only allowed a less the four inch by four inch container to go and told to wrap everything else including the fries up in tinfoil for the food i ordered my wife. I was told i wad unallowed to take a bigger box or have two and it was policy. Sooooo never going back there. What a joke of a policy.

The prices have gone up slightly here recently, but the food tastes good and there is an abundance of choices. The staff are friendly and helpful. Their clam chowder and meatballs on the buffet are worth coming alone for me, but my wife likes the chicken wings.

Our experience there was anything but enjoyable, they were expensive the service was.bad there no napkins at the tables we had to wait for plates! sizzler is definitely not what it.used to be too much focus on ambiance not on the service or food

Was really good, we always wonder why we dont eat there more often. No its not a five star hotel, more down to earth blue collar restaurant. But you have lots of choices of really good food, friendly staff to boot. Whats not to like

The food is very good. The people who serve your table sre very good and cater to your every need. The girl who took my order sounded like robot who was programed to read a script. I would like the sides to be listed on the menu.
