Im a big fan of Japanese cuisine and I know alot about it.I came here out of curiosity. Ive eaten at Japanese eateries in LA. I live in the IE so I wanted to see if there are any closer more convenient places. The IE is not home to alot of Japanese restaurants so I came here to check it out. Its the second Japanese restaurant Ive been to in the IE other than Benihanas in Ontario off I-10. Ive been here a number of times now.The location is away from the center of Victoria Gardens. Once you enter the dining room, its not too large but not too small. It is also very modern and contemporary. The sushi is fresh and delicious, you can get a simple roll or an artisan western roll with many fillings and complicated sauces. Im a sushi purist and traditionalist, I always opt for just nori, rice, and fish, with a lil wasabi and ginger. The edamame they give you for free, is addicting and is also a nutritious starter. The combinations items, like tonkatsu and tempura are delicious, a bit comparable to what you can find in Lil Tokyo. You must try one of the Boat platters! Its a boat with a variety of Japanese goodies like teriyaki chicken, gyozas, bbq ribs, california rolls, and tempura. You must have a minimum of two people to order. The soups are good, but its only filled half way up the bowl. Kabuki is a gem in the IE. Its way cheaper then Benihana and has more options on the menu. Is it better than LA restaurants? LA narrowly beats it due to price, portions, and its bit more authentic. That doesnt mean Kabuki is a bad choice though. Its a convenient location with delicious food which will satisfy me just as well on those days where I dont feel like driving an hour away or when I dont feel like emptying my wallet at Benihanas.

My one stop spot when Im in town. Service could be better but the food is great. I usual get the Chelan Sea Bass or the Meat on the Stone or both. If am feeling happy and up to it, Ill drink a Tower by myself. From there, Im feeling really good...after that, walk and shopping around Victoria Gardens to digest the food and beer is the best. Vibe in Kabuki had a good vibe but and again, what ruins everything is the service. Dont get me wrong, they do have decent service but they tend to forget you or worst, pick and choose when they want to come help you. The simplest twist for packet of sugar too 15 minutes with 2 or 3 reminders that were waiting for our sugar. I know, its just sugar but we need it for our green Ive tea that is not sweetened. Might as well order water...lol. But the biggest upset of them all is their portion. It used to put a smile on my face when I seen a nice size of Chelan Sea Bass steak on my plate...now its the equivalent size of one big piece I used to get but it is cut half....I stop ordering for that reason.

This is our primary spot for Sushi in the Fontana/Rancho area. Food is always top quality! The reason why I rated 4 stars is because, in my opinion, I feel as though the customer service needs a lil work. Its not bad or great customer service, just slightly below average. Ill give them the benefit of the doubt though, due to this place always being busy! Perhaps, theyre always racing and therefore takes a toll on their customer service and greeting skills. This is not a reason to keep me away though. Great spot. Great food. Great atmosphere and always, always clean and fresh. Now I want some Sushi....

I love the food from here but the past couple of months the service here has been so horrible and because we love the food so much we try to brush it off but it has happened every single time. We are good tippers we understand how the restaurant business can get but we have had no luck. We have sat there and watch others be served before us when we have been waiting for 10-15 minutes and theyve just been seated. Im so disappointed and sad to say we wont be returning after this last incident. We had no idea who was serving us and when we asked we just waited even more.

I hate this place, my boss loves going here and it sucks. It is over priced and too crowed. It takes FOREVER to get your food. After you wait FOREVER to get seated. I made the mistake and went there by myself, my food NEVER came, It a roll for christ sake how long does it take. I just left. The food is basic, I cant complain when my boss is paying. but, this is not be my pick for a sushi spot. I rather go to Otaya on 4th and Milliken. Dont go for lunch if you want to eat. This place is way too commercial. BAD.

we just started going to Kabuki few months ago, and weve eaten there four times. The food is great. My complaint is not about the food, but with the service. The first time it was good. The second time was OK, but the last two times was absolutely awful. It took for ever for them get take our order. The waiter both times never came back to check on our table, even if my boy needed a refill i had to flag someone down to get it. If it wasnt for the food the y would get a big fat Zero. Food was actually ★★★ but service was sooooo bad I gave them 1 star! The hostess seating us was making room for a high chair for my daughter. As my wife was going to sit down the hostess moved my wifes chair out of under her causing my wife to fall on her tailbone. No one asked if she was okay. NO ONE! When the food came it was good but no one ever checked on us. Their are better options for sushi in Rancho Cucamonga. Havent been back since.

I dont typically complain, but this was my worst Japanese restaurant experience. Service was terrible, six times waiters brought food for our table that we did not order. The place is too dark to read the menu. Once we got our sushi, the waiter did not bring plates, soy sauce, ginger or wasabi. Waiter kept apologizing, then left and some other waiter took over. Tempura and sushi rolls were way below average, and tasted poor.

The food is very good but EVERYTHING is overpriced. I used to push that away since the food was good either way, but last visit I had employees were so rude. A woman with black hair, thin eyebrows, and glasses kept giving me attitude and all of the other employees would ignore me if I tried calling them over. Terrible service and I would only return if someone else was paying for me to eat here.

“Great Food! Great Service!” This is an old time car cruising café with great service, super food, and reasonable prices. No matter how rushed, the wait staff is always friendly, your coffee cup is always full, and they have a wry sense of humor. For instance, one of the ingredients omelets is "tree bark." Be sure to ask what it is. Also, know that...

“Great first visit” We were served by Mark who was in training. He is very attentive and will be an asset to the restaurant. We let him know it was our first visit and the manager shortly after brought us a flatbread appetizer as a first time welcome. It was a fantastic surprise. The house Merlot was very good and dinner was flavorful....
