After a 5mile hike that lasted 2.5 hrs we were starving and cold! My friend quickly yelped something and Onishicho was only 6 minutes away with almost a perfect rating we just had to go! Staff were really nice and even offered us complimentary popcorn chicken and salad. The lady even brought over edamame as she knew my sister and I were vegetarian and thought the salad wasnt enough. How thoughtful and totally understand where the high rating is coming from! They are super generous which is always a great sign! Our ramen came out and i was just happy that they have a vegetarian broth option and though it was probably not the best Ramen Ive had it was still good enough to satisfy my hunger and being cold!

Not very authentic. I wanted to eat some Japanese Ramen, this place had four star so I decided to give it a try. Koreans make good Korean food, Chinese make good Chinese food but neither make good Japanese food. Very disappointed with the so called ramen. Another giveaway is customer service. Japanese always welcome their guest and thank you on your way out. The waiters here had their faces buried in their dumb phones. I asked them a questions and like two zombies never even acknowledged me. If you want good ramen go to Hakata Ramen / Shinsengumi!

When it comes down to service they are AWESOME. maybe cause i go there so much lol. They have had a couple of new server and while slow they try their best to do a good job. Food - I have had Ramen at "Better" places. Like shin sen gumi. This place is good for the very few choices we have out here. i have tried a couple of their dishes and they are really good. I recently tried their cold Ramen as well. it leaves you satisfied, not TOO stuffed and its refreshing in this heat.

I can in a little before noon and was the only person there. The place started to fill up a little bit afterwards. I ordered the tonkotsu. The broth was watered-down and the noodles tasted stale or old. The server was awkward and didnt seem to know what to do. She was polite but was very obviously new to waitressing. Its an inexpensive place and the only dedicated ramen shop near the Claremont Colleges. Oh and it has a drive-thru window.

Having worked in a Japonese resturant I learned a lot about everyday home cooking Nippon style. Hands down best gyoza I have ever had My daughter and I hadnt eaten all day so we ordered a lot. The ramen was delish, not too salty, no msg, was definitely homemade stock. Now for the appetizers Gyoza---5 star Soft-shell--6stars The Pork app--cant remember the name---Sooooo good OMG Curry Rice--delicious---homemade curry Cant wait to go back

I went by the reviews and thought, 4 stars gotta be good. Place was busy , everyone seemed to be enjoying their food. SURPRISE, SURPRISE the food was horrible. Ordered hot tea which was made with powder, water wasnt even hot. Shrimp tempura was fried beyond recognition, didnt even eat one. Pork ramen soup looked so bad but I tried, really tried eating it. What a waste of $$$. Dont waste your time or money. Thumbs down!!

There are not a lot of ramen options in the area but, thankfully, you dont have to settle much to enjoy Onishicho. I was very surprised at the quality of the food for the price. The spicy miso broth was hot and flavorful but not overpowering. Nice sized bowl for the price, too. Friendly service and a clean dining area made for a very good, decidedly casual experience.

They call me back 30 minutes after I place an order for delivery to let me know Im too far away for delivery. Why not tell the customer right away? I couldve ordered food from somewhere else more professional, but instead they wasted my time. Food is decent here, but I will never go back because of poor service.

I had the veggie ramen, their vegetarian option and it was really great. I also added tofu which really helped to top it off. I got there and ordered to go and waited for about 10 minutes then I got my order and left. Qui k service and great food. Ill definitely be back!

Great ramen place. My favorite in the area. Very reasonable prices and staff at hand are friendly. Food can sometimes take a strange amount of time to arrive but in general is pretty great.

Wendys gets an upgrade!!!! (Many years ago I ate my first frosty here). Enjoyed the veggie ramen with veggie broth. Added chili and an egg, could have added tofu instead to keep it vegan.

Good ramen, and friendly service. This isnt a fancy place by any means, but the food was good and reasonably priced. I got the Tonkatsu ramen and it was tasty and just the right portion.
