Disappointed with food and service First we got green tea but had to return it because it didnt taste like green tea, no biggie. Than came the food, ordered vegi soup and spicy poke rice bowl. I was surprised that tuna came completely ground up and not in pieces and didnt have much flavor , same with the veggie soup not much flavor. Than ordered hot sake , when the waitress brought it it bottle had dark smudges all over the bottle, I thought to myself its fine , but when poured the sake there was prices of something inside. So I called the waitress (dark skinny girl) and showed her the bottle and pieces inside , she just brushed it off and said,," its just my hands" really ?so you have dirty hands and im sopose to be OK with you handling my food? Gross. Do not recommend this place where

BEST VEGAN RAMEM EVER!!!!!!!!! My bowl was so jam packed with flavor that I was just extremely satisfied with my meal. One thing though, I wish they had a bit more sushi options, but thats not what this place is known for. So, I totally understand if they keep their menu the way it is :) Their Ramen is like the only reason why I would be willing to drive in traffic for about an hour. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. Oh! One thing Id like to add though: my boyfriend had the Tonkatsu Ramen and said that the broth was a bit too dense, but overall it was great.

Service was great and the food is good. Compared to other ramen restaurants I felt it wasnt as good but definitely respectable in its own right. We had the tajima ramen with pork and pork belly buns and both had a good flavor. The broth itself was filling but a little bland so I got the red bomb to up the ante and that worked well. However, paying for the extra spice was not something I have preferred. Service is great and very attentive and would definitely come here again.

Take out ramen! Ive never heard of anyone else doing it so I had to try it. The meal prepared and ready for me in minutes and it was pretty great! Be sure to pour in half the soup first and stir it into the noodles for 30 seconds to break up the noodles a little bit when you get back to the office. The starch and heat of the noodles without any broth makes them a little sticky. Overall a really great experience. Also thanks for the great service Chika!

Tajima is my favorite ramen place by far. My brother-in-law visited for eleven days and said he couldnt imagine it was anywhere near as good as his favorite ramen place in Toronto. Boy, did he change his tune. He was disappointed we only went there twice while he was here. The food is amazing, and the staff is always friendly and helpful. Best place for ramen in San Diego!

What served here have been modified too much, they are way far away from traditional japanease cuisine, a lot of ingredients that would never be used on true japanease ramen are all put together, the taste is sorta weird because of all the modifications, but its still acceptable. If you want some authentic traditional japanease ramen, skip this place.

Ive only been here once but I really liked it. Im not even huge into ramen but I had a deathly cold and ramen sounded good so I ended up here and had the vegan ramen and the tempura brussel sprouts. Loved both. Also, the staff was real friendly and I was diggin the music they were playing.

The ramen choices are the same as the other tajima restaurants but the staff was new and inexperienced when I went and although the outdoor seating area was nice, it was mostly memorable for the homeless lady who came up and harassed two traffic cops who were eating their ramen outside.

The roasted garlic topping makes it worth the trip to downtown. Parking is tough, but walking a couple of blocks on a rainy night to warm up with one of the best ramens in town is well worth it. Double up on the roasted garlic for a boost on fighting a cold. Great service, great food.

Closest ramen I can find to authentic since leaving Japan last year. Simple quality ingredients with very little *American spin * Id if you are looking for authentic Japanese ramen this is as close as you are gonna find in San Diego. It will not disappoint.

I wish I could tell you how great the good was at this place but no one would serve me. There was a crowd of people waiting outside and 5 empty tables. I walked in and the host left. I waited 10 minutes and decided another business deserved my money.

Extremely fast service - if you need a quick bite to eat the ramen seems to come out faster than you can get comfortable. Service is fast, but personable. The beer selection is limited, but you can always find a micro-brew that is interesting.

Great Ramen. I like their friendly atmosphere. Sometimes we sit in the middle common seating and dine with people we dont know. They serve fat noodles which are very good. I have nothing bad to say about this place. Very good service.

Was very excited to eat here because they listed gluten free noodles on the menu, which they have, but the broth isnt gluten free!!!!! Nothing was gluten free....pointless to have gluten free noodles if the broth isnt gluten free!!!!

The Ramen is wonderful, but the problem with me is how small the space was. It is in the down town area so I should have expected that. Not much parking in this area at all so take a lyft, uber, or park a block away for $10.

The ramen here was delicious. Very hard to find a spot that does it right. There selection of beers was not too big, and a majority of the seating is communal. If you dont mind that, then this is the spot for ramen.

The only downsides were that it was a bit cold in the restaurant and the service was slow, other than that they were very nice and the ramen was exceptionaly delicious! Worth the wait...
